August Measurement Challenge

Welcome to the third month of our measurement challenge. If you are ready for a truly different type of challenge this challenge is for you. So many people often over look the inches that they might be dropping and worry about the weight more. However, your weight can greatly differ if you are gaining muscle mass. Hence the reason this challenge was born.

Here is how it works... You will start with setting a goal of inches lost for the month of August. Every Monday for one month we will measure our chest, waist, hips, thighs and upper arms (biceps). Don't forget that it is important to make sure you are measuring the exact same spot every week!! You also need to remember to either double your thigh and arm measurement or measure both right and left. We will also have an optional fitness challenges or nutrition challenges each week. The biggest loser from each week will get to decide the challenge for the next week (squats, push ups, sit ups, stairs etc.)

It should look something like this

Goal: 5 inches
Week 1 measurements
Thighs: 42 inches (this number was doubled)
Arm: 15 right 14 left = 29 inches
Waist: 32 inches
Hips: 40 inches
Chest: 38 inches

PLEASE COPY THIS EACH WEEK! I will also keep track of this on a google spread sheet and share it weekly. Please follow through!

I will post our first weekly challenge. Drink 9 or more glasses of water a day for the first week of August:drinker:

    Since I hardly ever lose a pound, I would like to do this also, however I will have to purchase a cloth measuring tape to get my measurements so it may be this evening or tmr before I can get my measurements but I'm in! :)

    Arm: 11 1/2 right 11 1/2 left = 23 inches
    Waist: 39 inches (at belly button)

    I am back in for another month. I am camping right now so will post measurements tomorrow when I get back, but my goal will be to lose 8 inches.

    I am definitely in for another month! If it weren't for your challenge last month, I seriously would have probably given up. My weight was kinda all over the place. But to see my measurements fall kept me motivated. I still can't believe that I dropped 10.5 inches last month! Yes!!

    I haven't really been loosing on the scale so I have been going by inches lost. I am at 18 1/4 inches lost since May 22.

    I've never done this before so am just using the goal most people have ;) I also usually work in cms so will have to convert to inches! (due to the silliness of my two tape measures stapled together)

    Goal: 5 inches
