If it fits with your calories and nutritional goals for the day, why not?

Got sick of eggs?13

Here's an easy way to determine what you can and can't eat:
1. Does it fit your calories?
2. Does it fit your macros?
3. Do you want to eat it?
4. Will you stay on track if you eat it?
If you answer yes to all of those you can eat it.5 -
Lowish carb vegetarian sources of protein include cottage cheese, cheeses (especially lower fat ones like haloumi), seitan, tofu, tempeh, edamame, and black soybeans. Add low carb veggies and healthy sources of fat and you have a low carb diet.
Mind you, it would be really hard to go super low carb as a vegetarian and get adequate protein.1 -
I think you need to find something and stick with it...you're onto something new pretty much every week...a lack of consistency is extremely inefficient.
A low carb vegetarian diet while doable, would be quite challenging and restrictive IMO...5 -
its hard to eat low carb and vegetarian. I cut out most dairy, and most eggs, and quit cooking with oil, I went to a mostly plant based diet and its helped a ton with weight loss0

Guessing that egg diet didn't work out so well? And same as everything else you've asked if you can eat - if 5 "cubes" of cheese fit your calories and goals you certainly can eat them for breakfast or whenever else you want. You might want a better unit of measurement than cubes - is this a 1 pound cube or a 1 ounce cube? Makes a difference. Also much like the egg diet you did - eating a lot of cheese (or whatever other thing you pick) every day might get you back to making posts like this rather quickly.2

Spending so much time and effort trying to find a specialized (yet unnecessary) way to eat while dieting is a great way to put off committing yourself to losing weight. I'd suggest halting the dithering over exactly what food to eat and deciding whether or not you actually want to lose weight. If you want to, then just eat less of whatever you are eating right now. If you don't, stop wasting your time and move on to some other project that means something to you.7

You've got to stop grasping at every fad diet you hear about. This has been explained to you on multiple occasions -- Please listen this time. I will tell you exactly how I lost 100+ pounds (45.5 + kilograms).
1. Input your stats into MFP. Choose a reasonable weight loss rate.
2. Buy a digital kitchen scale.
3. Weigh and measure everything EVERYTHING EVERYTHING that goes in mouth.
4. Log what you eat into MFP.
5. Stick to your calorie allotment.
Stop chasing after quick fixes and fad diets. They don't work. I repeat: THEY DON'T WORK.13 -

Well a vegan that eats eggs, dairy, probably a steak next week...3 -

She didn't ask for your opinion whether it was good idea. She didn't ask for verification if it was another fad diet. She simply asked for input on low carb options while remaing vegetarian. If don't have advice to help her that's fine but why try to inflict your negative opinion on her?9

So do you have any useful advice for the OP, or did you just want to have a white knight moment?6 -
I tried this a few years ago and really struggled with it. Its best to do your research into foods you can eat and to plan ahead.0
