My super skinnies are baggy at the waist. My t-shirts are all too big now. My mind has not caught up with my body yet...need to move to the next size down for reals : )

This is a different kind of victory. I admitted to a good friend that I've been struggling with fixation and not eating enough calories to try to spur a faster weight loss (all the while it making me crazy). She came with me to talk to someone last night and I'm going to get counselling to help me. Now I have to figure out how to up the calories slowly while the thought of that stresses me. But last night was a great first step to getting back to healthy.62

I've been sick with a sore throat and fever for three days. My first victory is how much better my body handles an illness now that I have lost weight. I used to have my resting heart rate, which was in the 90s, shoot up into the 130s whenever I had a fever and it was exhausting and dangerous. This time I had a 102 degree fever and my heartrate never went above 80, from a normal of about 60.
Second victory is that I stayed within my calories while sick - not a problem the first day as I didn't feel like eating - but thanks to MFP I made myself eat a nutritious balanced diet over 1000 calories - and on the next day once my fever was back down, I ate properly and did a little slow and easy exercise. Exercise is good for the immune system! In the past when I've been sick while dieting, it meant the end of all my hard work, just give up and go back to doing nothing and eating whatever. And no wonder because I would never get over anything, even the slightest cold would linger for months. Fingers crossed but it looks like I'm going to get over this one on my own! I'm seeing a doctor for something unrelated tomorrow and will ask him about it. I'm just really pleased with the improvement in my health and conditioning.26 -
What a wondrous day! I Had my blood work done on 10/10/2017 and for the first time in 10 years all of my lipid profiles were normal. Even my A1C test was under 5.7, I started with pre diabetes with a test level of 6.5.28

Way to go! Asking for help is crazy hard (I know) but it’s an amazing way to love and take care of yourself. And better to address it early than let it become a much bigger mental, emotional, and physical challenge. ❤️ Take care of yourself and hold on to that really amazing friend!20 -
So I had a really emotionally tough morning on Monday and I really debated just going back to bed. But I have established a routine of dropping off my son, going to ththe gym, and then getting groceries on Mondays. I was already dressed for the gym, my grocery list was written, so I told myself I would just go and do 20 minutes and then go on with my day. And I did! I did 25 minutes and then got my healthy groceries for the meals I planned for the week.34

Thank you. I have an amazing group of friends. Everyone knew something was off but didn't realize how bad it had gotten. I've been open with a few others now. For accountability and to be able to talk about it.

I'm experiencing something similar right now! To be honest, I gave in and ate some cookies on my worst day that didn't fit into calories, but I've was able to limit the amount I had as opposed to binging the whole bag and buying a pizza or something.
Hope you recover fully soon!10 -
I ran into an acquaintance I just adore that I hadn't seen in at least 6 months. He didn't recognize me at first and the joyful double-take was just what I needed in an otherwise crappy week. In a bout of retail therapy I snagged some clearance skorts that were a size 6. That makes 2 items of clothing I have that are a size 6!30

Not sure if I should consider this a NSV but I struggled to get my heart rate even into the aerobic zone on a long session today.
But whether it is a NSV or not, I am happy to see my body no longer needing to work so hard to support the ever increasing activity levels.
I got this!

My co-worker was walking behind me after a meeting and said, oh my god you are disappearing! I responded, i'm not even at my goal weight yet21

I decreased my A1C levels from 6.1 to 5.7! I'm still considered "prediabetic" but not for long!
Woohoo!31 -
Finally got under 170, so I tried on a pair of 32 sized jeans and they fit! They are pretty damn snug, but I think I'll be able to wear them out comfortably in about 5 more pounds. Haven't been in 32 size jeans since sophomore year of high school, and the best part is I still have 20 more lbs to lose, so by the end of all this, I'll be smaller than I was in high school. That's great to think about, I always thought I was destined to look chubby at no matter what weight I was at. Turns out, I was just overweight in high school too.24

I did 4 full unassisted (nobody holding my feet) situps today! 2 weeks ago I couldn't do any.33

My seven year old niece picked me up. I was shocked. I’m 155.25

In July I was thrilled to get into size 14 jeans. As of today, I need a belt to hold them up!31

After dinner this evening, even though it was starting to get dark, the family and I walked up and down the street one time. By the time we did it once, it was too dark and dangerous for us to do it again. It’s almost half a mile when we do that. Well instead of saying oh well it’s too dark to walk, I circled the outer edge of our driveway until I reached a mile. All of this while pushing my toddler on her tricycle!! Feel pretty good about it!24

Bad day at work + getting out of work very late + dealing w/ crappy traffic driving home + hangry = want to go home, have a drink and say fuk it all. Ate dinner, logged calories, had enough left for some port so had some. Victory is that I did not succumb to emotion and overeat or drink excessively. Small NSV.40
