@microwhisper I am so sorry to hear this. Virtual hugs. We did 4 rounds of IUI for my 2nd and were considering IVF when I magically conceived on my own. I know how painful and all consuming this process is. Big hugs to you guys during this time. For my third, we did do IVF with a surrogate as I was unable to carry any more. You will find a way, I am certain of this.

Thanks @bringbackthejoy ! Your story helps and is a great comfort. You've had three- ATM I can barely imagine I will ever have one! Lol. I'm taking a break from IVF because I found the hormones terrible. I'm focusing on fertility diet, acupuncture, meditation. We'll see how that goes. xx

Hey! Try quoting yourself (like I did above) and then just delete about the bits you need! Quite simple that way. x

Wednesday I binged at night. Not too badly. I counted my calories through the binge, but again, it was for the wrong reasons: I was super-sad. My sweetheart and I are having some difficulties. I know eating won’t help. It will make things worse if I gain weight.

Successes for the week included getting back on the stick on Thursday, exercising every day, and binging “better” if that makes sense. I ate healthy things for the binge and stopped when my tummy hurt too much, instead of just eating. When I didn’t like something I was eating, I stopped, instead of eating it just because it was there.

Ingrid, I am so sorry you and your sweetie aren't doing well just now. *hugs*. I feel your binge pain. I have been shoveling food in lately, too.

Success / struggles of the week : couldn't ride at all last week due to the weather, high winds and rain. But it's looking better, and some things got done around the house that needed attention, so hopefully i will get some rides in this week. Made plans with my better half to go to the gym together, yeah! And on the struggle part, couldn't stop snacking tonight, came back for nuts way too many times, and then got into other things as well. Sigh.

Success / struggles of the week : Struggles: getting my stomach to agree to more food. Or at least more high caloric food. I'm still, at most, all week, eating under 1500 calories. Hence the loss on the scale. My trend on Libra is still within range though. This maintainance thing will be harder than I thought.

Successes: Got the BF and the dog out for a nice, long walk yesterday before the rain came in. Even though the dog isn't a fan of a steady pace (would much rather stop and pee on everything) I still feel got benefit from it.

Success/struggles of the week: I mostly feel like I am getting the hang of maintenance, but I never quite know if I am still losing or just fluctuating down. My original goal was 135 which I think was probably a little high for my height. I seem to be maintaining at ~121 - 122. I feel good here and I don't think I need to gain anything, but I don't want to get under 120. It is just kind of hard to know when it is just fluctuations and when it is actual weight loss. It is frustrating because I don't want to go any lower, but I also don't want to go any higher which I know is what maintenance is. I guess if my trend gets below 120 I will just have to decide to try to gain a little. My actual weight has dipped below 120 a couple of times, but so far the trend has not dropped below 121.

I do that sometimes. Sorry I didn't explain that technique. You can delete the
marks so it shows up normally.

How long in maintenance : Since 4/14/17
Maintenance weight range: Would like to stay under 122 at morning weigh-in.

    January avg weight trend: 126.8lbs
    February avg weight trend: 126.1lbs
    March avg weight trend: 124.6lbs
    April avg weight trend: 122.9lbs
    May avg weight trend: 123.4lbs

    July avg weight trend: 122.3lbs
    August avg weight trend: 118.9lbs
    September avg weight trend: 119.1lbs

    Trend week of...
    29th September: 118.9lbs
    6th October: 118.3lbs
    13th October: 118.9lbs

Successes of the week: Modified some workout plans to avoid exacerbating a shoulder strain. Did more legs and abs and avoided arms. Going to rest it up a bit longer. Won a few binge battles.

Challenges of the week: Lost a few binge battles. Not managing my time well and quantity and quality of sleep are paying for it. Stuck in a rigid rut of wanting my evening snacks menu to be just so, and the time it takes to earn them is literally eating up time for everything else. Am waiting to cycle back out of this, like I always seem to do.

Successes/struggles- having trouble sticking to my regimen. Like I predicted when I went into maintenance, I’ve given myself inches and taken miles. It’s so tough to practice restraint when you stroll over to the other side, even for a moment. I find myself making not so healthy choices back to back, like once I start I can’t stop. I’m still maintaining, but I had to cut back significantly this week in calories. I need to find the plan that I’m going to be able to stick with and maintain for the long haul. Exercise is still good!

You can do it. You are already realizing what is happening and making a plan to change. I was doing the same thing last month. Maintenance is SO not easy.

Good Morning. Glad to be here a second month with you all. I'm Joan. I have only be in Maintenance for 2 months. I lost 30# over approx 10 months. I started this journey month after having cervical disc surgery. I have extensive degenerative arthritis so I have restricted exercise activities, Ie... No running or jarring to the spine and some restrictions with lifting weights. I love to workout. It energizes me and makes me feel so good. I'm 5'4". 58 years young! My goal weight range is 125-128. Although I have aspirations of 120#, not sure if I could maintain that. Present weight today-126.2#! Yay! I did some struggling last month with trying to figure out this maintenance thing for myself. Others posts on this thread, have helped me a lot. This past week, I really have felt a lot less anxious and fearful of regaining. Looking forward to a great October! Don't ya just love Fall?
Oct 13- weight 126.4. Holding steady.
Successes: Feel more in control this week and lots of good exercise is making me good. Challenges: still struggling in evenings with too much snacking and trying to get in my daily water goal.
