How often do you weight?

How often do you weigh yourself? I have been doing it weekly, but I feel like I'm not making progress for the rest of the week. My weight has been fluctuating highly, but then staying the same. I "weight in" on Saturday. The one week my Saturday to Saturday weight stayed the same, but when I weighed myself on Wednesday I had lost about half a pound. (I guess that half a pound came back, probably water.) Would it be a good idea to weigh myself more frequently just to get a picture of how it fluctuates?
What do you do?

I weigh daily. The numbers go up and down it makes a squiggly little chart on the Reports.

Once a week, Saturday morning. That's when I do my measurements as well. But I've been seeing a steady drop (smoothing out now, but I'm only about 6 kg from goal weight, so I know this bit will take longer) so once a week isn't a problem. Once I reach maintenance, I intend to do the same: once a week, just to know my clothes aren't fibbing1

Last few months I did weekly, but as I have learnt more, im going to try do it daily.
Not to get obsessive but curious to actually see natural fluctuations (water/hormonal) with a overall trend.
I would say, don't overweigh if it causes anxiety though3 -

I genuinely love graphs5 -
Some do daily, some do weekly, some do schedules in between, others don't do it at all. It all comes down to personal preference.
Your weight can fluctate by a few pounds during the course of the day due to eating, drinking, and elimination. If you're trying to monitor your progress, it helps to weigh yourself at a consistent time of day. Many people do it first thing in the morning after using the toilet and before eating. This helps avoid your daily activity from hiding progress a bit.3 -
Daily. In the moring, ever morning. Log the # in Libra and watch the trend. Currently it's "down"...a very slow down.2

When I set out to lose again, I weigh every day, sometimes twice a day. When I reach my goal, maybe once a week. For me, I need that.0

I may need to make a T-shirt that says that...4 -
Daily. I jump on the scale each morning but don’t record my weight daily but instead put it in MFP about twice per week (Wednesday & Sunday most of the time)0

Daily. It updates Trendweight giving me this

Every morning. My weight fluctuates daily and some may find that discouraging, but I find it exciting. Somedays I'm down a pound, somedays I'm up two pounds, but it helps me hone in on what is working and what isn't, as well as hydration habits and dehydration habits (water vs coffee, tea, etc...)0

I also weigh daily. I stuck with it even though it took me a few months to stop freaking out about daily water weight fluctuations and weeks that felt like "stalls".
A few months in, I had figured out some patterns of how my body tends to lose, which was my whole goal in weighing daily. Though tbh it still surprises me now and again!0 -
Daily, same time everyday (just after I wake up) and trend in spreadsheet / Libra. Accept that your weight will fluctuate on a daily basis, more important to look at the trend over multiple weeks and adjust as necessary. Patience and consistency are your friend.....1

I'm currently taking a break, but once I get things back on track again, I usually like to weigh daily, first thing in the morning after using the bathroom.0

Each morning, post wee and pre shower.3

about 15 then I leave ... oh weigh every Monday0
-
as often as possible when I am losing, once a week in maintenance.0
-
Right now weekly but I'm going to go back to daily.0
-
Once a week, as I will become too obsessed with what the scale says otherwise.

Every day. For science.5

I weigh myself everyday now, but when I first started trying to lose weight I would only weigh in once a month in order not to lose motivation if I didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped.0

hardly ever... I rely on my clothes fitting (or not) to track my progress; when I do weigh myself it's usually after I have been sick, just to see if I have lost more than I thought...1

Through experience over the years, I have found that when I don't weigh every day I can go off track very easily. These days I do bulk and cut cycles and daily weighing is a must for me. It is the same with logging. Whenever I thinks I can just freewheel it by eyeballing and estimating my intake I always go off the rails. Weighing and logging daily is now second nature for me and only takes a couple of minutes out of my day.4

I weigh everyday. I tried switching to once a week but then found myself saying "oh I don't have to weigh myself for 4 more days I can indulge more today and work it off before I weigh myself" and that became a slippery slope. I hold myself more accountable when I weigh everyday, just don't get frustrated by daily fluctuations, they are annoying but we all have them and they are normal.2

Same, I weigh myself rarely and irregularly and prefer to go by the fit of my clothes.
I'm losing my final ten pounds and it's a slow process, and I found my constant weight fluctuations disheartening to see. I weight in every few weeks to make sure I'm not going too far off track but I find that skinny jeans are my truest critic.0 -

I probably do it 2-3 times a week. My goal is to do it once a week but I just can’t. I need to know that I’m heading in the right direction otherwise if I get to my weekly weigh in date and I’ve not lost anything I’m going to be annoyed that I’ve lost a whole week dieting lol.

oh it depends.
usually once a week but sometimes every day, sometimes once a month. lol0 -
Every day for 3 weeks to gather cool data on Happy Scale. I have been in a self induced weight plateau for weeeeekkkkks. I want this process to pick up so I thought I would be real about numbers and watch the trend...and then decide to do something about it. Its a processsssssss0

every morning and I log it into an app called my happy scale and it gives me charts, predictions, losing average, etc. Simple app.2
