went to brunch today with my friends and they kept saying how great I looked and how tiny I was. I was like "yeah, ok sure. thanks." We went shopping after and I tried on some pants. My friends were picking out 6s and 4s. I thought they were crazy. Size 4. they fit. I noticed a lot of my pants were getting too big, some 6 and some 8, but I didn't think I was a size 4. I thought 8. I have been in complete denial about my weight loss and size and it took trying on some pants I thought would never fit to finally acknowledge my accomplishment! Holy crap did I feel like hot *kitten* today lol32

Did 40km cycling yesterday in the fastest time ever, only 1 hour 30 minutes. It was awesome.16 -
Ran and finished my first marathon in 17 years. I'm sore today, but totally worth it!44

I've gone from looking like W. C. Fields in the gym, to looking like Urkel!

Hiking in the mountains and jumping off of this bench so my husband can get an action shot of me! My favorite part is me landing and not breaking, rupturing, tearing something which I’m prone to do.
Defying the odds and feeling amazing!

My family and I did our monthly 5K Saturday after 4 months of heat-related retirement. My 2 year old did the 1K kids fun run, and I jogged along with her. She was definitely the littlest runner, quite possibly the youngest, and she ran almost the whole way and did not come in last. (I'd be proud of her finishing no matter what, TBH!). I put her in the stroller for my 5K and shaved a full 15 minutes off of last year's pace (where I was dead last, go me). I actually ended up doing a 7K because I went back on the course to meet my husband and sister in law to join them for their finish. I am so PROUD of my whole family, from Little Bit's joy at running a serious distance for a toddler, to my Husband, Big Girl, and Sister in Law for joining in and doing their best. Big Girl, who walked with me, was actually 2nd in her age group! I'm also proud of myself for jogging along with Little Bit, having been told I'd never run due to my OA. It was a great day for the whole family.27

I'm smaller. Not sure how or why, weight is the same, measurements are the same, but clothes are getting bigger and things fit better. There's no rhyme or reason to it (unless one of you wonderful people can explain?). Also my 1 year anniversary is coming up and that means I've logged daily for a year! Oh, and I ordered jeans size 33 in the H&M sales, they came, were way too big, so ordered size 31, they came, were way too big, and ordered them in a 29 and they fit well! Who'd had thunk it?16

I’ve got a couple. I ran 4.5 miles the other day without walking. It wasn’t as fast as I would like but I was glad I could go that far. I’m at like a 10:30 pace right now. I was a division one college athlete and sometimes set too high of expectations for my self. I expect to be able to perform like I could then. Instead of being mad that I am not running a 8:30 mile or faster and getting discouraged I enjoyed the run and am looking forward to the next one instead of dreading it. I do want to shave my times down but I have always hated running anything more than a mile. I’m taking it one day at a time and just enjoying the runs instead of pushing myself so much I hate them.
Signed up for my first official 5 k. Doing it next weekend.
Went to the store and saw a great sale on jeans. They were size 6. I thought no way will those fit but maybe I should buy them anyway and I can have a goal to work toward. Even in my college days I didn’t wear 6s very often. Tried them on anyway and to my surprise they fit!
I’m still about 15-20 pounds heavier than my college days but I can fit in almost all my old college clothes.26 -
Ladies, you know how men will turn to look when they hear the clicking of high heels on the floor?
They would turn, look at me, then turn back to what they were doing with a slightly dismissive look.
I just realized how they don't turn away anymore, they give me a good look over. I'm not used to not being invisible.33 -
I've only lost 20 lbs, with another 20 to go to my first goal weight. Luckily all of the weight I've lost has been right in the mid-section (chest, tummy, hips). Thus far, I've been asked out at the gym once and 2 of my friends called me skinny29

When I started, I was down to the last notch on the belt that I wear with my jeans.
I've now moved the belt into the fourth notch. Yay!23 -
I am so hyper!!!
So, swam 50 laps. Then did the advanced swim circuit class! which is AWESOME!! Underwater swims with bricks, pushing people along for a length, jump presses in decreasing amounts with blasting down the pool between! Just epic.
AND....the super fit guy that got in as well, I beat on everything! he said, 'well I've just done spinning', to which I replied, well I've just blasted 50 laps so we are even !'
hahahahah so very hyper!!
PLUS....got sevreal comments bout epicness of beating this guy.
THEN....not NSV but went to weigh in and lost some!! am now 181lbs! that is the 12s!! under 13 stone!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
workmates are despairing already!!38 -

This is an odd but not surprising NSV. I take Benadryl as a sleeping aid once in a while. When I was bigger it took about 45 minutes for it to be effective. After losing 30 pounds it takes 15 minutes for it to be effective and I sleep like a happy baby27

My coworkers go to lunch together on Tuesdays. I was asked if I was going today, and I told them it depended on where they were going (and explained why). They were going to a mexican restaurant, and I have a lot of trouble being good there! So, instead, I went home and made my own mexican-inspired meal that came in under 400 calories.35
