    Whirlwind trip last week, left Arizona for several days in Woodstock, VT and Franklin, NH area, then zipped over to the other coast, in Sonoma, CA for the weekend, then back. Whew!

    Afternoon walk around the hills outside of Woodstock, the leaves were past peak but still beautiful:

    I loved the Robert Frost poem; they had several of his poems on different signs.

    Then New Hampshire, where the leaves were in better color (this will likely come out huge...sorry):

    Then Sonoma; rental house was south of the wildfires; the morning fog on the second pic was a welcome sign of moisture helping tamp down whatever was still going on (much of the fires were contained at that point).

    @Broomstick_Boo - I used to live near these places! Moved away about 6 years ago (thankfully, I hated the place).

    This is where we went on my birthday last week. Most people go out for a meal, we had a picnic by the canal, followed by a five-mile walk. Worth every step, it was fun, even my 12 year old said it was "cool". Praise indeed from my son :)

    The cows are my neighbors now in So. MS. The other is near where I grew up on Lake MI.
