Depending on your height that seems normal to me. 6 lbs isn't easy to see when it comes off all over your body.
Good point. But wondering why when I inadvertently add 6 pounds to my weight, my tummy bubbles over the waistband of my running capris and feels horrid...
It's probably more water weight than fat if you gain that much inadvertently. You'd have to eat 21000 extra calories to gain 6 lbs so it's not something that would be done quickly by accident.1 -
How did you guys deal with cellulite? Or did you deal with it? I have about 30 to lose to be at around 23 BMI.. I have lost 15 and working on losing the remaining 15. But my body is pear shaped and I have always had cellulite even in my 20s when I was thinner. I wonder if weight training or muscling up will help or will I always have it (thanks genetics!)0

Unfortunately, cellulite is genetic. It may get better as you lose, but it may not.
I'm 5'11, BMI of 20 currently and I still have it (144lbs) I'm also 39 (it has gotten worse as I age). It's better than when I was 165lbs, but it's still there. I have stretch marks from growing too fast as a kid too. My body is a war zone...LOL

Some people have had a good experience with dry brushing before the shower, and then oil or moisturizer after. I don't know if collagen production can be stimulated topically but it can make it look less noticeable in my experience.

Just realize it is the woman in the swimsuit without cellulite and jiggly bits that is the rarity, not the other way around.
Get a swimsuit you love, and own it
No one should feel they can't wear one.

Yea it's all about genetics. I have it too no matter how lean I get. And while weight training and bulk/cut cycles has helped, it's still there. I carry most of my fat under my glutes, so yea it is what it is.4 -
I started off with a goal in the middle of my healthy BMI, which was where I was 20 years ago when I was at my strongest cycling. When I got there last year I found that being 20 years older I needed to be lighter in order to compensate for less muscle, and dropped to close to the bottom of my healthy weight, which is where I was for about a nano-second around my 40th birthday.
At 40 I looked a lot thinner than I do now at the same weight, I'm assuming because I had more muscle, and I'm having a little difficulty dealing with the current reality, which is all my remaining fat draped around my middle. My first instinct was to just keep losing until my stomach is as flat as it was then, but that's not healthy mentally or physically, and probably not even possible.
Right now I'm maintaining (with moderate cardio and weight training), and plan to do that through the holidays, then in Jan I'll take a deep breath and consider re-comp. I think eating at a slight surplus and working to get stronger will be much healthier than chasing after a body I couldn't maintain even 27 years ago. In the meantime, I'm learning to appreciate how much better my clothes look, and the styles I can wear now that I wouldn't have even tried on last year6 -
M currently at my goal... not happy need to get a bit smaller and tighter0

I reached my ultimate goal but will not/cannot go down any lower or I will be underweight. I would never hear the end of it from my husband if I went lower, because he's paranoid about my health (I had some serious non-weight related health issues in the past)
3 things I don't like;
>thigh gap - I'd rather not have one.
>chest - my already small chest got a little smaller (unfair just doesn't cut it)
>tummy - I still have some tummy fat
At least I can do something about that last one, and toning up a bit is my next goal.
3 things I DO like;
>I FEEL lighter - I physically feel like something as simple as hopping or going up the steps is much easier now. I didn't think 30 pounds would make that difference.
>More energy and less pain - thyca took my thyroid, and energy has been in short supply while pain has been superfluous for the last few years. Just having a "normal" energy level for one day, or not being in pain all day is a HUGE deal for me. I've cried happy tears over that.
>cellulitis went away
So... all things considered, I'm happy where I am and just want to tone up a bit

I was happy with my shape/size when i was blissfully fat and unaware. Im alrightish with myself now but i bloat so easily and look pregnant and fat now. Takes very little food to do it. Didnt happen a bit heavier lol5

I want all of you to know how awesome you are in the bodies you are in. I’m not going to go into some inspirational rant, but just for a second be aware of how awesome it is that you hit your goal weight period and all the cool *kitten* things your body does for you everyday. Ok maybe a tiny rant10

Hell yeah, it really does show on a leaner body when you have had a big meal, doesn't it? I literally have a totally flat stomach most of the time, but throw down my dinner, even though it is healthy, and I bloat right out afterwards, lol. It is a real irritant to me. Only thing I found ever helped in the past was getting my abs and core muscles so rock solid that this didn't happen anymore.2 -

Wish i had abs hah1 -
yes and no, I loved how I looked in clothes but out of them I was too skinny up top. I'm a pear shape, and lost more from my top than my bottom. I've since gained about 10 lbs and am wanting to tone with weightlifting vs dieting. I think if I can do that I'll like the final results better3

After many years of going up and down in weight, this time I have reached my goal by a combination of portion control, cardio, and some weight training. I still have flab I am working on, but happy with my weight. It is a challenge to maintain, but using this app and daily weighing myself helps!2
-
My original goal was 230. The closer I got to it the more I realized I could and should lose quite a bit more. I'm now at 231 with a new goal of 200. I'll reassess on the way there.5

I'm 100% confident when I'm dressed and you see my curves. When I'm undressed and I see all the damage that being over weight did to my body - I cringe and cry. I'm working on it but so not there yet.11
