Bought a pair of size 2 Columbia shorts. No stretch at all! They look so cute and they were on clearance! A year ago I needed a size 12 with stretch.26

4 consecutive days with caloric deficit. It's been a while, I feel like I'm back on Santa's good kids list! lol31

Mine sounds a little odd...my husband told me this week that it's time to think about a tummy tuck for myself!
A little back story...i was always on the thin side and my stomach stretched massively when pregnant with my twins. Saw a plastic surgeon who confirmed that the only way to fix it was with a tummy tuck. Money, kids ect got in the way. Never did it. Had 4 back surgeries and gained a ton on weight. It's slowly coming off and my skin is hanging again haha. This time I'll definitely treat myself to that tummy tuck!26 -
I just read the blog about how BMI isn't an accurate way to measure health and women's waist measurements should be under 35 inches. So I ran.to my bedroom to check mine. 33.5. Yippee!
Pretty good for a formerly morbidly obese almost 60 year old woman.41 -
Four months ago I was a bit overweight and my blood pressure was also a bit high. I saw the doctor today and she said my blood pressure was "perfect"!: 113/72
It's amazing what a difference even moderate weight loss can make.22 -
I played soccer in a formal league for the first time in 5 years tonight. Rusty, sure, but not half bad. The team even asked me to come back next week again! *confidence boost*22

I fit into some of my gf's clothes!! she is a size 12!!
admittedly they are workout trousers, the lycra ones - but they fit me!!
probably the only style of clothes we will be able to swap as I buy mens cos I have no hips and she has hips! but exciting to see!27 -
This is a big one for me, last week after an exhausting work week I recognised I needed a rest and didn’t go to the gym at the weekend.19

This sounds weird, but lately I felt like there was a lump in my bed and I was irritated. We just bought a new bed so this was not acceptable. Last night I figured out it was my nightshirt. It was folded over under my arm (side sleeper) and felt like a huge lump...very Princess and the Pea, I know, but sheesh...apparently I need a much smaller nightshirt if it was folded under me and still loose enough that I didn't notice.24

NSV for today, i just want to take this opportunity to express my love for calorie counting. I absolutely love the CICO approach to weight loss. This past month I tried some new food. I had a large serving of a French Apple pie for the first time and I enjoyed every bite of it.
I also had Moroccan Lamb stew with some grilled potatoes and a delicious salad. The best part about all of this, no guilt and I still lost weight and inches. If i feel like i ate toomuch for the day, my go to solution is walking 20,000 steps. I wish I knew about CICO and myfitnesspal when I was in college. I never have to give up any food. Some days I feel like I'm cheating with my weight loss.

A two-part NSV: this morning I realized I could do a child’s pose with my butt STILL ON MY HEELS. In 7 years of yoga as an obese woman I have never been able to do that (belly and thighs got in the way).
While taking a picture of said child’s pose, I noticed a frightening lump on my shoulder. Was about to self diagnose myself with a rare form of cancer when I realized.... it’s a bone.51 -
Pulled 225 lbs on my deadlift today. That's a PR for me.35

I am wearing a sized medium shirt for the first time in 10 years....and its fits great!!!!32

YES!! I was so excited the first time that happened! And I was excited when I could do garudasana/eagle pose and vriksana/tree pose without falling over! LOL9 -
I recently found an old google sheet i forgot i made, It listed goals i had in life (all stuff like my weight loss, getting to a happy spot at work, Activity and cooking goals, Money savings, Clothes i wanted to look good in etc) And as i read through it- I realized i accomplished them all. Yay.
But thats not my NSV. My NSV is the self reflection it caused. I spent a few days internally searching for what i wanted in my life and what i could work on for some more goals.
I have created a whole new list of goals and every single one of them are ways to improve myself. Not physically. Not to look good or be rich. Stuff like wean myself off my calorie counting obsession, Work on my social life, Continue to work on taking things less serious and being more easy going, Take time to enjoy the little things in life, Cook more and dress cute and do more stuff to pamper myself. Get a hobby. Work on keeping my chores done and minimalism and not procrastinating.
My NSV is the realization im where im happy physically, Now i can begin working on ME and what will make me happy longterm. And admitting to myself where my problem areas are, And actually realizing none of them are that much of a problem. Totally doable goals list.43 -
Took a maintenance break last week. Eating to maintenance felt like cheating after 9 months in deficit. I felt so EMPOWERED because I *chose* to take a break. I'd been getting discouraged and was cheating and going over calories pretty regularly but taking a break made all the difference in the world! I've been staying under calories, feeling more rested and energized, and fully committed to finishing out the year strong!38

I donated two shopping bags of too-large clothes this past weekend and it felt good to have them out of the house. I just dove into the sweater drawer and tried on a few that fit poorly last winter. Now they fit perfectly or are a bit baggy in that way that's okay for sweaters. I have one that's a bit too clingy, but I'm hopeful it will fit properly once I'm at goal.18

This is so wise and I am so happy for you....I am doing the same thing RIGHT now and at first I questioned myself but I am all in now....! Congrats11 -
Two new PRs last weekend at the Disney Wine and Dine Two Course Challenge. On Saturday, I beat my old 10k PR of 1:00:35 with a 56:50! On Sunday, I beat my old half marathon PR of 2:26 with a 2:12 half! I'm still pushing towards a half under 2 hours, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished! Unfortunately I've put on about 6 lbs since last week but I think it's a combination of flying water retention, soreness water retention, and just my system being a little off. Hopefully it'll be mostly gone soon!
And an additional NSV: I actually like my running action shots now! After seeing my pictures from the 10k, I was purposefully running closer to photographers during the half so I could get more pictures
