Total Cholesterol 139 down from 210
HDL 36 3 points lower than "normal" need to work on this
LDL 76 99 is considered to be getting high
Triglycerides 133 0-149 normal range
These have all improved greatly within the span of 3 months.
All other levers on the Metabolic Panel are within normal range.
and the big one A1C..... 5.9 down from 8.5 last year and 10.6 in 2015.. and I am officially off all diabetes medications. The doctor thinks even though my number is still in the pre-diabetic range I am now controlling it with exercise and diet and expects it to be even lower on my next blood work up in three months.

Whoo-hoo: These are the best kind of weight loss results!
Almost seems like magic, doesn't it?
(I had similar benefits from initial 54 pound weight loss. From one year to the next: Cholesterol 230 => 176, triglycerides 193 => 82, HDL 45 => 65, LDL 146 => 95, VLDL 39 => 16, Chol/HDL ratio 5.1 => 2.7. Blood pressure went from 180+/80+ most times to 110/64. Those have held or improved, in weight maintenance.)6 -
That's amazing, keep up the good work!0

Congratulations! I had similar improvements in my numbers just by losing about half of the 100 lbs I had to lose at one time (still working on the rest). I'd love it if more people were aware that they don't have to lose every last extra pound to see big improvements in their markers
