I had been doing 15 lb goblet squats with my other trainer last week. Met with a new trainer this morning and wanted me to increase my weight until I felt like I could do 3 squats but no more. I was able to squat 40 pounds! And I probably could've done more than 3. I did not expect to make a 25 lb increase in a day lol.24

I got a deal on a pair of Levi jeans probably 15+ years ago that were "obviously undersized". I decided to keep them as I planned to get in to them. Plenty of times my wife pulled them out of my closet to trash or donate but for some reason I would not let her. The other day as I was searching for something that would fit I found them. Perfect fit! So I wear them about 3 times a week LOL. I think to myself when I wear them, "does anyone else care that these jeans are as old as 2 of my children"! I love the feeling of succeeding at this! I don't care that no one else realizes what it means to me. They are not on my hips, they are on my waste and they actually fit.40

I have realized I've been saving at least $30 a week on groceries since both my bf and I have been eating less. My grocery shopping was always pretty healthy and high quality food, but now we buy no snack foods and even less packaged food, plus I guess it's logical that when you eat fewer calories, you buy less food overall.
I should mention, I'm eating a LOT less "free" food (break room food, etc.), too.17 -
comment from my co-worker. She just came back from a 2 weeks vacation. She is like me, extremely observant and notices any changes. I was walking away from her and she was looking at me and shouted, omg your butt is disappearing. She looked so surprised. I told her all my entire life friends and family have been telling me to give up trying to lose weight on my hips and butt. That I'm stuck with it because of genetics. Well, I just proved all of them wrong. Also my very good friend from college use to tell me once you hit the 30's it's impossible to lose weight. Well I just proved her wrong too. I think I'm going to take professional bikini photos for my before and after photos next summer. I'm looking forward to the stunt faces.22

Another lovely cold, windy, autumnal day in good old England . . .
. . . surprise, surprise, it rained. On and off. On and off.
I walked. And got soaked.
I cycled. And got totally soaked.
I ran. And got soaked.
Tomorrow it is not supposed to rain.
Bet I get soaked again27 -
Ran 6 miles without stopping......haven't done that since Basic Training...37

Haha---Went out and photographed bears in a river. I can't run as fast as them, but at least I can move better with each pound lost. (Not supposed to run anyway, it entices them to a "chase") Just need to run faster than the people around me. Thankful for zoom lenses30

I bought a sports bra in an actual store. Not a plus size store, or an online store for pick up. An actual store. I wear a 38h, this is a seriously big deal to find a running bra that fit. I called my husband to the fitting room to see if he thought it fit and even he was surprised. This thing fit me. From a regular store. I can’t wait for the smaller boob thing to happen because this was awesome29

Got called a mermaid at swimming this morning and the trainer of the circuits class asked what I was training for! (nothing - just like swimming) am starting to think I may be actually good at this swimming lark!22

While taking a picture of said child’s pose, I noticed a frightening lump on my shoulder. Was about to self diagnose myself with a rare form of cancer when I realized.... it’s a bone.
I am very much waiting for this moment, I assumed it was being obese, however, this confirms it. It is a nice thing to look forward to.8 -
300 days of consecutive logging, and I tracked food for the vast majority of those days (barring vacation travels and such)! Next goal - 365 days (the whole year)...29

Came home after a quick stop at the brewpub last night. Only 1 - I'm a li'l ol' lady, after all, and was driving - but I got home feeling crave-y.
Experience suggests that even 1 beer can limit my snack judgement, but I thought things over and made myself a small plate of cucumber kim chi, sauerkraut, hot lime pickle, and fermented ginger beets: About 70 calories, and a dose of good probiotic foods besides. Ended the day a bit above goal, but right around maintenance.
Yeah, it was a salt-fest, but that's what the craving was about, and I have low-normal BP, plus water weight isn't fat, so I'm calling it an NSV.35 -
rheddmobile wrote: »I have another victory today, we found a great little restaurant which serves food exactly suited to the way I prefer to eat. It's a Cajun Catfish place. It's on the way from the park where we run to our home, so we go by it every time on the way back from running, and we have been saying we meant to stop for the longest time. We finally did, and I absolutely stuffed myself for about 500 calories. Memphis food leans heavily towards cheesy, saucy, breaded and fried, as well as carb-heavy sides which don't do me any favors either as a dieter or a diabetic. But while this place has its share of all those things, it also has delicious grilled blackened fish, and several varieties of light prepared vegetables: greens, cabbage, steamed zucchini, white beans, pickled okra, etc. My meal ended up being low carb enough that I splurged on two pieces of garlic bread and my glucose levels were great when I checked them later! So nice to have another healthy alternative to making dinner for myself.
Oooh, thanks for the heads up! I’m in the Memphis area too and not only am I trying to eat healthy...I don’t eat meat! (But do eat fish...not that there’s a ton of awesome fish around). Yay to a new restaurant to try!

I got in the water for the first time in about a month yesterday. My endurance is way down but I'm honestly just proud that I swam again.31

There is one big hill on the way to my office. When I started cycling, I could only get up 1/4th the hill before having to walk my bike and rest. Today I rode up the entire thing!46

Seems like just yesterday I was thrilled that I was able to fit into size 14 jeans. Now a few months later, I'm finding that I've truly outgrown those size 14's. I just went out and bought blue jeans size 12 !!! I can't remember when I wore that size last. Maybe over 35 years ago.31
