How many days do you hit the gym?

OP - your subject makes it seem like you are interested in what we do, but your post is more about whether or not going to the gym every day will have a negative impact on you long term.
Which is it?
If the former, I try to go 3x week... but realistically go 2x.
If the latter, it's hard to say without know more about your situation. If you're getting enough sleep and proper nutrition, you're probably fine.4 -
Two days1

6 I guess. Lately I've been hiking one day instead of going to the gym. Not all days are heavy workouts though. I went last night and bailed half way through my plan and just ended up with a half hour of cardio. My hips and legs and back were too tired from an intense Wednesday so I cut back. I just play it by ear.1

I go twice a day every day . I guess I'm addicted lol. It just makes me feel better going to the gym .2

Usually 4 days1

72
-
3 Strong lifts 5x51
-
I lift 4 days, and go to cardio-based HIIT classes for 2 days at the gym. Sometimes I play soccer and hike too. I always have one dedicated rest day where all I do is walk.1
-
7 days a week. Why? Because I work a full time job and have two toddlers at home. Gym is ME time.2
-
3 days a week (20mins of running) 35 mins of weights and yoga once a week1
-
It varies for me depending on time of year and goals.
Minimum 3, maximum 6, but I may do other non-gym activities (running, walking, skiing, biking) on the off days, or as a double workout. The intensity of lifting or intervals definitely varies1 -
at least 4. sometimes 6, on average 5. depends on if i need that extra day off somewhere1

5-6 days. I’d probably go 7, but I’m trying to find balance in my family’s schedule. Taking the kids to the gym 6 days a week is just too much (I only have one day they’re not with me and I can go alone), and being late home too often on the rare days hubs gets home at a reasonable hour/taking away the two Saturdays a month he’s home is not conducive to domestic bliss.
I’m trying to move things around and be flexible to keep all of us (relatively) happy and not force everyone else to bow to my gym obsession. Alas I am not yet desirous of getting up at 4:30 to get a short workout in bf hubs leaves.0 -
I've definitely been that person, if I missed a day of working out at the gym I would beat myself up, feel guilty. The past 2 years I moved to a small city in Florida and I live in the country surrounded by dirt trails. I have 3 dogs, I dont belong to a gym anymore, I run with my dogs most days, if I miss a day here or there I dont care.
I have a workout room at home with everything I need. I workout when I want ( not everyday) Dumbells, bench, spin bike, ball, treadmill. I dont obsess about it anymore. I am mentally happier, I feel better I actually lost about 10 pounds over the past year without stressing about it. Im at a happy weight2 -

Everyday. Plus I do waterfit 6 days a week..1
-
I do something everyday.
Cardio daily (aerobic dvd's, brisk walking, walking/running intervals).
Strength-training 4 days a week upper/lower body splits. (Weights, bodyweight, resistance bands, TRX strap, Pilates).
I enjoy working out and the results it has given me. I do take a complete rest day once in a while, but that's not needed often since my workouts are mostly moderate (I'm maintaining).3 -
I lift 3x a week and cardio usually 2x a week1
-
Strength training Monday-Saturday and brain gains on Sunday-1
-
4x a week1
-
6 days. I take Mondays off. Holidays don't get a pass either. I'll be in the gym Thanksgiving morning and Christmas morning.1

I hate gyms XD I walk often and lift at work iv just never found the desire to lift / walk literally 10-12 hours a day and then run off to a gym like itl make much difference at that point.
Side note -story time
On a dating app recently some guy called me a lieing fat whale when i said im into fitness but dont go to a gym. At this point mind you i already learned the guy has a desk job and goes to the gym for 45 minutes twice a week.
He then went on to blow up at me and rage at me calling me a stupid moron for calling my work (walking 20-30k steps -12ish miles a day while lifting huge bulky heavy furniture up and down stairs for 10-12 hour shifts) isnt exercise and im stupid for thinkign it is and unless i go to the gym im a weak idiot who cant be into fitness LOL.
again...10-12 hours a day lifting heavy on my feet...<...45 minutes twice a week after sitting on *kitten* all day....
Was pretty funny lol
Glad you can laugh at this. It would piss me off (but then I'm not dating).
yeah and people wonder why im single ;D I attract winners
You need to meet someone at the gym
Ill go with you
Can we start with Sunday swim lessons? That way I get to see you in a swim suit STOP BEING CREEPY TW!
So, I do "something" 6 days a week. Saturday is 5K park run, Sunday is 45 mins swim lessons, Mon/Wed is 5K indoor bike and weights, Tues/Thurs is 5K run. Friday has become my day off but I'm thinking of doing weights as well. Swim lessons end in 2 weeks so I'll change my program then to add X-country skiing.1 -
CrossFit 6 days a week, run 3 days, rest on Sunday.0

I hit the gym usually 4x a week but most days I do 2-3 workouts/classes about 6-7 hours/week, Water Aerobics, HIIT, Zumba and Spin just to name a few. I'm trying to pin down a new routine right now that gets me lifting and starting to run. I have a goal to run a 5k in May.1

5 days on, 2 days recovery for me. I have an hour of Step class on Saturday morning, an hour of Les Mills BodyCombat on Sunday afternoon, 1/2 an hour of Les Mills BodyPump at lunch on Monday and Wednesday and 45 minutes of Step class on Tuesday afternoon. Thursday and Friday are my recovery days, although I still take a mile walk in the morning as well as the afternoon on those recovery days.1

I workout 7 days a week1
-
6 days a week. I find it easy to go before work. Sundays, I work it into my schedule.1
-
I workout 4-5 days/wk.
I have a fully equipped weight lifting setup in my garage and my rower/spin bike are in the house.
I go to the gym that I belong to only 1x every week or 2 to use the StairMaster, trradmill and/or steamroom/sauna.
The only reason I belong to a gym is because it's free; paid for by my Medicare Plus coverage1 -
6 days weights and cardio/ 1 day just cardio1
-
Well my gym is in my house so technically I'm there everyday. I do resistance training 4x a week. Cardio 2x a week. 1 rest day, but I walk everyday just to stay active.1
