What's your favorite healthy snack?

Hi
It really depends on why you are snacking and which weight loss program suits you - keto or low fat or just cutting back on calories over all. I think snacks that suit the healthiest version of your favourite diet are the ones that work best.
The obvious, easy ones are fresh fruit if you need some sugar or veg - carrot, cucumber, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes etc if you want to graze.
I love Itsu seaweed thins - great iodine and salt if you've done a work out, and only 22 cals a packet.
Some cold roast chicken is good if you are hungry.
Edamame bean pots are good - about 100 calories and very satisfying.1 -
Almonds1

Light & fit Greek yogurt (12g of protein!), Nature Valley granola cups or the bars, regular almonds, dark chocolate covered almonds, light sargento cheese stick, pistachios, protein powder (just add water), special k cereal (dry) for munchin, skinny popcorn, halo top ice cream (only 80c for .5 cup)....1

My best snack is no snack. I used to think eating every couple of hours was necessary, but it's not. Now I just eat bigger meals (2-4 a day) and feel a lot more satisfied.6

I love homemade fruit rollups or deer jerky.1

deer jerky sounds interesting!! lol where do you get it from?0 -
Schwan's Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt! A half-cup (72 g) serving is 120 calories. I pre-log my meals and snacks so I stay within my planned calorie count.

Sugar snap peas, carrots + hummus, peppers + hummus (Oasis tomato bruschetta hummus is only 35 cals for 2 TBSP!) Lesser evil popcorn, a serving or two of cereal, really anything I can make under 250 cals is what I fit in as a snack.1

I don't snack as I eat meals that hold me over until my next meal. My favourite snacky food though is homemade popcorn.5

Simple for me.......hard boiled eggs! I crave them!2

If I'm craving something sweet then it's oatmeal with cinnamon baked apples and hemp seeds in the summer. In the winter I typically use berries instead of apples. A whole lot fibre leaves me feeling full for so long
If I'm craving something savory then I'll have seaweed, or sweet potatoe/arrowroot either plain or with some meat or veggies
Geez, I'm getting a bit hungry...1 -
My favorite snack is a hard boiled egg.
It's low calorie, low carb, has plenty of protein, and knocks down my hunger.2 -

Flavored Greek or Icelandic yogurt with a couple tablespoons of granola mixed in; Dr. Kraker Pumpkin Seed & Cheddar with cheese or cottage cheese or hummus; an apple or pear; a handful of mixed nuts or almonds; smoothie made with protein powder, frozen fruit, and unsweetened almond milk; a little plate with mixed olives, cherry tomatoes, cornichons, and other veggies if I have them.0

I love trail mix or handful of almonds

I eat a lot of popcorn. I am currently loving Jolly Time 100 calorie microwave Kettle Corn packs. No weird ingredients and they are non gmo gluten free. I will add some nutritional yeast and organic garlic powder and it tastes sweet and savory really good. I also love gala apples for snacking, carrots with some mustard, also frozen blueberries in a bowl with almond milk(the almond milk will freeze and turn into a slushy) topped with cacao nibs is great to cool down. For drinks the brand Bai is a natural and low cal. I one the strawberry lemonade, watermelon and coconut flavors. If I'm hungry and need a hearty snack I'll make a Dr. Mcdougall vegan chicken ramen soup cup(180 cal total) and add a tbs nutritional yeast for protein, some garlic powder and a little hot sauce. It's filling and warm on a cold day. Also you can bake a tray of sweet potatoes let cool then wrap in individual pieces of foil and freeze. When you want a snack it will only take a minute or two to reheat and retains the baked flavor. Sweet potatoes have lots of fiber and vitamins. Lastly homemade popsicles are always good the combinations are endless. I like to make cashew milk espresso ones. I am vegan by the way (:1

A few pretzels with a tablespoon of raisins. Satisfies my salty/sweet craving.0

Macadamia nuts are my favorite but they can get you into trouble. I also LOVE guac and pork rinds. Sounds gross I know, but it's one of my favorites.0

a few raw almonds + an apple. if you take turns eating the almonds and apple bites, it sorta tastes like apple pie, no joke.2

Peanut butter and banana or yogurt with fresh fruit and honey or maple syrup. Recently I have been combining a half cup of Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt, half cup of canned pumpkin, half tsp. pumpkin pie spice and a tbsp. maple syrup. So yummy!1
