Ugh I gained so much weight during thanksgiving! Happy Sunday, everyone!
I'm late to check in today... moving a bit slowly today. On Saturday I had been booked as a Background Artist (aka an Extra) on a TV show that shoots locally, and what was booked as an 8-12 hour day, turned into 18 hours. With travel time etc., it was a 23 hour day so I slept in a bit today. My legs are killing me too, I had to walk up and down a steep hill, on grass, wearing pumps (which I rarely ever wear!) to and from the holding pen a number of times and my feet blistered and my legs weren't happy about it (guess I need to incorporate more inclines in my walking.) I had a lot of fun and the hair and makeup people made me look amazing Usually background actors don't get much primping but I got the full treatment yesterday and it was nice. Had one of my colleagues snap a few pictures even! They will help me get future bookings.
I have a regular office job... I like to do the background stuff for fun now and then when the bookings are on weekends. I live in Georgia which is busier than Hollywood these days for TV and movies. Anyway... it's easy work but it's a test of patience sometimes, and it's a lot of, "Hurry up and wait," and "Quiet on the set!"
My husband and I did manage a bit of yard work and gardening today. I think I'll be headed to bed early!
Weight is slowly going down, saw some more 207 numbers this week but it's not quite there in the averages yet. Maybe next week? We shall see!
