If your goal is to lose weight the last thing you should be eating is a fat bomb. If you are over weight at all, once you are fat adapted your body will burn the excess fat that it has stored! If you take in an excess of exogenous fats your body will burn those and not the fat your body already holds in adipose tissue. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the Keto life. I started in August at 296 pounds. I had diabetes (190 fasting blood Glucose level) High Blood Pressure 180 / 84. I started monitoring my macros and limit myself to 0-20 max! Carbs per day (I have never once actually hit the 20 carb limit) My Ketone level is regularly between 4.0 and 6.0 and I now weigh 204 pounds (over 90 pounds lost in 14 weeks). My blood pressure is much better and Doctor says he can no longer say that I am Diabetic. My fasting levels are always between 68 and 105. Youtube is GREAT for Keto recipes! If you just search a type of recipe that you are looking for and add "Keto" at the beginning you'll most likely find several great recipes for the foods that you want to eat. Good luck on your healthy journey!

True. If you do not eat at a deficit because you are eating high levels of fat, your body will use that dietary fat before your own body stores. Make sure you get adequate protein, and then use fat until satiety.

For example, a not hungry day might have 90g of protein and 60g of fat. A hungrier day might have 95g of protein and 120 g of fat. You won't lose as much on the hungrier day.

That being said, my favourite keto foods are just foods that many people would eat: taco salad without corn chips but heavier on cheese and avocados, a steak with a side of green beans, mushroom and cheese omelet with bacon, pepperoni sticks and cheese, a bowl of nuts, broccoli cheese casserole with meatloaf, bunless burger, beef chili that has no beans (or very few), tomato and beef sauce of spaghetti squash... Take the foods you enjoy and then reduce the carbs. That often makes the diet easier to sustain.

Try the Low Carber Daily or Keto MFP groups for more ideas.

Thanks! I burn around 500-600 calories 6 days a week with exercise. I have a hard time eating more than 1200 calories a day, which I know isn't enough. This is why I brought up fat bombs. Was hoping it would give me the extra calories without the carbs. Also, I have a serious sweet tooth and am trying to keep that at bay without hurting any progress. And thank you for some meal ideas. I tried keto chili last week and it was a hit! Just trying to think of some different things to try.

@KendraHall2 good luck with the Keto focus. Great way of eating and it just works. I follow mostly a vegetarian diet, some days strictly vegan, but all of this is wrapped with Keto principles. My only caution is to be careful not to trade one bad thing for another, i.e. avoiding diabetes but increasing your risk for heart disease (high fat diet ... bad fats). You CAN avoid both!

@Fatburner6969 How are you measuring your Ketones? I have the urine measuring sticks, but those just turn colors based on whether or not I’m in or nearing Ketosis. I’ll look this up on Google later tonight, as well.

Fat bombs might be helpful if you really need more calories. But you might want to just go with your appetite, as long as it isn't really low, and then allow yourself to eat more on hungrier days. I had days where I ate 1000kcals and then others at 2000kcals but it evened out at 1500 kcals. Many low carbers or keto'ers find that their appetite returns within a few weeks or months. Mine did. I usually eat about 2000kcals a day now.
