No. There is nothing wrong with white bread.. you could eat it every day at every meal, as long as you are within your calories you will lose the same amount of weight as you would without it.10

No. Stop buying into media hype and diet scams. White bread is food, just like all the rest of it.
If you ate it so often or in such a quantity that it prevented you from staying within your calorie goal and/or maintaining a reasonably healthy/balanced diet, then I might say you should cut back. But otherwise... eat and enjoy.11 -
Specific foods do not cause you to gain weight, only a calorie surplus does11

Thanks a lot0 -
Excess calories stop you losing weight and fat (which will stop you achieving a toned look). A single food can not be responsible for that... White bread is the only bread suitable for some situations (PB&J sandwiches, and chip butties for example...)3

How could it?
What is so special about one food, let alone the colour of one food, that it breaks fundamental rules of physics and biology?

Interesting article in case you have time to read:
Carbs are not evil: The poison is in the dose https://www.onnit.com/academy/carbohydrate-foods-are-not-evil/ In other words, try not to eat 10,000 calories of french bread daily.
unless maintenance is 10,000 and then you're good to go.4 -
... 10,000 calorie maintenance... good lord... on one hand.. you could eat so many things... on the other hand.. you'd never make it lol0

Nothing wrong with white bread....make it fit into your calorie allowance, simple0

I eat all kinds of bread, including white bread. It never stopped me from losing weight.0

I love the Crosta white Italian bread. It is quite filling so I don’t have too much. I am losing weight.0

Ugh my mother drilled it into my head that white bread is bad all through my childhood. I can't help but buy whole wheat now and whole wheat has more calories
A 10,000 calorie maintenance.. that sounds beautiful lol0 -
losing weight has nothing to do with whether you eat white bread or not...weight management is about energy (calorie) balance...it's not about any one particular food item.0

I once made a PB&J on sprouted grain bread and it just tasted sad0 -

Seriously though.....weight loss is about energy balance ie consuming less than you expend over time. If you like white bread or pasta or potatoes (I love baked & mashed potatoes) and are eating within your calorie goals go for it. Denying yourself moderate amounts of foods you enjoy is a recipe for failure.

How exactly would it do that? I love bread, all the ways you can make it. No reason to give It up if you don’t want to.0

I remember there being some thing on youtube about people trying to eat 10,000 calories a day as a challenge..
We have weird priorities as humans in 2017.. or some of us do.
our grandparents etc went through wars and the depression.. and now the struggle is consuming 10,000 calories without vomiting... or spooning a mouthful of cinnamon into your mouth.. The struggle is real.1 -

Just goes to show how disconnected first world nations are to the rest of the world. We hear and read about famine and war time, and yet we still take advantage of what we have.

Yeah i agree, I have given a lot of food away to feed nova scotia when i had a lot of it and i am a single person by myself and it was just completely unneeded..
There was a thread made here on MFP one time about the 10,000 calorie challenge and i remember asking that person why they would want to do something like that and they said "something to do" followed by simply having bragging rights to say they did it.
I would rather talk about how i was able to help someone else when i had more of what i needed then talk about how i consumed so much food i vomited.3
