@sheilajean58 Maybe I missed it, but how did your Dexa compare to your scale?
I'm lucky in that my current scale seems to be the highest BF% of any other measurement method (most BEI scales and devices significantly under-estimate BF%, even for me). For the last Dexa, my scale showed 16.1% on the same day Dexa showed 15.8%. I have another Dexa on Sat., and I expect my scale to be much higher than Dexa this time because 16.1% was a low point (had been running in the 18%'s for the prior week) and only because I had no water retention as I had not consumed vegetables or many carbs for 45 days prior. Water retention from a lot of broccoli, cauliflower, and green beans yesterday has caused my scale to jump about 2% overnight... and I know I won't have an accurate scale result before Sat., so I'm holding my breath with uncertainty about whether I reached my goal BF% for 2017.3 -

R26 * Start = 136.6 Goal: 135.0 by 12/25 CHECK (but bounce is expected)
12/19 - 136.6 - Under calories yesterday, no workout, got diagnosed with a stye so 1) on antibiotics and 2) stay away from the gym for others' sakes and 3) when I go back to the gym, wipe those machines before as well as after I use them!
12/20 - 136.4 - under calories yesterday, no workout, but got all the Christmas boxes off (well almost). Feeling better, tonight a workout and early to bed.
12/21 - 134.8 - Whooosh! I bounce a lot but I will take this.
12/22 - 135.4 - expected rebound. Good workout yesterday, (barely) within calories. THANKS FOR KEEPING ME MOTIVATED, posting on this thread helps me!
12/23 - 134.8 - Under calories and solid workout yesterday. Maybe I am gonna get my "135 for 12/25" goal after all.
12/24 - 136.2 - Under calories and no workout yesterday, too busy running around on errands! No worries. Today, logging and getting a quick run.
12/25 - 135.0 - Really happy about making my 135.0 goal for Christmas. And it's kinda funny how exact it was. Ran 2.4 yesterday and knee was a little touchy, well under maintenance for the day and that included some Christmas cookies.
12/26 - 135.2 - REALLY dehydrated, already drank a quart of water. Yesterday no workout and did not log the main meal, I know I was super over because Christmas treat! Back to it today.
12/27 - 136.2 - richly deserved this bounce! Exhausted yesterday, no workout, grabbed sub-par pie at work then got loose with the oatmeal shortbread in the evening. Let's see if I can fix any of this before the last day of the round!!

Off to another round! I might not have made my goal last round, but I plan on reaching it this round for sure!
12/20: 216.1
12/21: 215.7
12/22: 213.1
I need to battle the rest of this round! One more dinner party before Christmas! I'm not cooking that much for Christmas; I may make a mock potato salad with cauliflower since no one eats it but me! I may cook some candied sweet potatoes because my son loves them, but other than that, no sweets for me!
12/23: 212.6
Gotta go! Gotta go! Gotta go right now! Off to the last (hopefully) Christmas dinner!
12/24: 212.6
Didn't do so bad. Resisted the rice, mac & cheese, bread, fried chicken, and dessert! Ate baked chicken, collard greens, fresh sliced tomatoes, and onions! Drank water!
12/25: 213.7 Thank God for allowing us to celebrate another Christmas! I cooked and I ate what I cooked; it was so delicious! I even ate two, yes two, pieces of caramel cake. Tomorrow is a new day, so I will enjoy today, while it is today!
12/26: 216.7
I post with a smile! I enjoyed yesterday; now back on track! Hope everyone enjoyed your family and loved ones during Christmas like I did! Thank God, His mercies are new E V E R Y day!!!

Holding fluid! Not drinking enough water along with too much salt! Hope it looks better tomorrow. Will start back exercising Jan. 02 (Lord willing). Made some low carb breakfast cookies this morning; they taste really good! So far, I like cooking with almond flour. Got a low carb cheesecake recipe I want to try later!3 -

12/09: 158.5 Little shocked by w-i, no wonder I still felt hungry last night. Net calories red (w/i 100) & 12c water. Walked dog 3.14 miles before work and helped decorate dept. for Christmas. Fitbit 15,471 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) hours & 41 floors.
12/10: 161.0 Annnd it's bounce-back time. To be honest, I snacked with hubby after getting home late last night from classic holiday movie (A White Christmas) at theatre...he's used to eating after his shift ends at midnight, and I ate right along with him. Net calories red, sodium very red and 12c water. Walked dog 3.07 miles. Fitbit 16,142 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 17 floors.
12/11: 160.0 Net calories green, sodium red & 14c water. Walked dog 3.56 miles. Fitbit 17,803 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 38 floors.
12/12: 160.0 All numbers red except sugar & 15c water. Walked dog 3.11 miles before work, landed on my backside b/c of snow-covered ice patch & switching to indoor workouts for winter. Sad dog. Fitbit 15,643 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 38 floors.
12/13: 160.0 Net calories barely green, sodium not so bad, sugar red mostly from fruit, and 15c water. Walked 1 mile in workplace hike at lunchtime. Fitbit 13,953 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 33 floors.
12/14: 160.0 Treadmill 3 miles / 50:35 and shoveled snow 1 hr. (est. 8") / thank heavens for kind-hearted neighbor with snowblower. Fitbit 18,353 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) hours & 39 floors. Net calories, sodium & sugar all green! 14c water, could've had more with all my activity.
12/15: 160.0 Rest day after activity previous day. Fitbit 10,431 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 27 floors. Net calories w/i 100 green, sodium red & 15c water. Light on fiber lately, need to increase.
12/16: 158.0 Getting enough fiber helps! Net calories green, sodium good, sugar red due to lots of fruit, fiber 30g & 17c water. Walked treadmill 3 miles / 51:43. Fitbit 14,520 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (noon class) hours & 31 floors. Still fighting off a cold, lots of zinc & water today.
12/17: 159.0 Hate this cold that's trying to get me! Shoveled snow 34 minutes. Fitbit 11,051 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 hours & 13 floors. Net calories, sodium & sugar green, fiber 20g & 14c water.
12/18: 160.0 Still fighting off a cold, going to listen to my body, skip workouts & get more sleep. More important to fight off cold than get workouts in, especially being so busy with Christmas preparations. Keep pushing zinc tablets, extra vitamin C & water. Workouts will resume once (a) I feel better and (b) crazy busy-ness ends. Net calories barely green but sodium very red & light on fiber (again) / 12c water. Fitbit 8,247 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 17 floors.
12/19: 158.0 Battling a cold, workouts on hold. At least Christmas decorations are almost done. Net calories red (barely), sodium green, fiber 20g & net sugar zero - how did that happen? 18c water. Fitbit 10,525 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 39 floors.
12/20: 158.0 Net calories red, sodium green, sugar red mostly from fruit, fiber 20g, and 16c water / trying to flush my cold away. Workplace snowshoe hike at lunchtime / 0.42 miles. Fitbit 11,013 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 32 floors.
12/21: 158.0 Little surprised / workplace Xmas party at lunch yesterday, then went overboard with Christmas peanut M&Ms while decorating at home. Still no workouts due to busy-ness and my cold. Fitbit 8,612 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 31 floors. Total guess for calories (did quick log instead of guestimating every bite) & 16c water.
12/22: 157.5 Day off from work, finished cleaning & decorating. Gave in to leftover pizza hubby brought home, but limited myself to two slices. 14c water. Fitbit 7,696 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 hours & 15 floors.
12/23: 157.5 Vacation/holiday, slept in, round trip by car 2 1/2 hours & niece's Christmas concert = sedentary afternoon. Wrapped presents in evening. Fitbit 8,753 steps, 250+ steps 8/14 hours & 16 floors. 12c water.
12/24: 157.5 Little surprised I'm maintaining, have been getting into Christmas candy since 12/22. Stopped logging food last night after supper & net calories red. But keeping active with Christmas preparations. No "workouts" this week except shoveling snow and snowshoeing. Fitbit 7,703 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 25 floors. 10c water.
12/25: 158.0 Christmas / dinner w/ extended family / not logging food or beverages / Merry Christmas friends!
12/26: 159.5 Yesterday was a day filled with faith, family, fun, food & adult beverages. Totally worth it! Now, to freeze some of the goodies so we don't eat them all up this week.
12/27: 160.0 Almost forgot to update...why are some habits so easy to break & forget? W-I not a surprise, have been enjoying Christmas goodies for several days & no treadmill since 12/15 oh my! Back at work, will get back to treadmill this week, I promise.

Hello! This will be my first round ever, and I’m so excited to join in!
OSW (4/25/17): 320
R26SW: 265.4
I’m leaving in the morning for a 2- or 3-day road trip to my home town for the holidays. The next 10 days will be a triple challenge for me, as my weaknesses are travel, holidays, and family. I’m going to rock this!
12/19 - 264.5
Yay! Starting strong! I haven’t left for my road trip yet though. Best laid plans, right?? Haha! Oh well, more time to prepare healthy food for the road!
12/20 - 264.5
No problem here! I drove for 5 hours yesterday and while I didn’t completely follow my food plans for the day, I did take frequent breaks to stretch and walk around. I was also really diligent about hydrating and not mindlessly snacking. Now to keep it up for the longer haul today!
12/21 - 263.0
Happy surprise loss! Yesterday’s drive was about 12 hours. I had a hard time staying within my calories, but I allowed myself to go over a bit because I felt legitimately hungry and decided to listen to my body. I also prioritized water and tons of breaks for walking around. I have 5-6 more hours of driving today, depending on mountain road conditions. Can’t wait to get there tonight and see my family!
12/22 - 263.0
Made it home! I’m about to go meet my brother for breakfast, and I’m going to do everything I can to stay on track!
12/23 - 263.0
Went a bit off course yesterday, but I’m happy it didn’t seem to affect my weigh-in today. And I’ve made up for it today by sticking to the plan while relaxing!
12/24 - 262.2
Yay! Spent the day hiking with family, so I’m feeling like I’ve earned a slice of Christmas Eve pie!
12/25 - 262.2
Merry Christmas, everyone!
12/26 - 262.2
I’m kind of surprised I didn’t gain, since I ate more than planned yesterday. I’ll take it!
12/27 - 263.5
Well, poop. I suspected this was coming though. Back on track today!
12/285 -
Goal this round = maintain -- my birthday is Friday and then Christmas. I don't plan to overdo the goodies, but I do intend to enjoy.

12/19 - 149
Not a surprise - we went out for lunch yesterday and I know my sodium was high and I feel bloated.
12/20 - 149
Definitely retaining water - I feel bloated.
12/21 - 148.6
That's better.
12/22 - 148.6
Going out for birthday lunch today, but I have my order planned - broiled seafood, veggies, and probably a dessert, no bread or potatoes. If the rain holds off I'll go for a walk later - had a good one yesterday. Thanks @quiltingjaine for remembering. :-)
12/23 - 148.6
Very happy with this since I had a major pig out yesterday - lunch out, with dessert - reasonably healthy but lots of calories - and then had a piece of cake and some other goodies later (hey, birthday stuff!) and had about 900 extra calories. I expect to bounce up tomorrow, but I'm ok with that. I'd just like to finish the round where I started. I'm not a sweet freak, but I do plan to have some fun!
12/24 - 149
As expected. It's all good!
MERRY CHRISTMAS - Ho Ho Ho! And happy holidays, too -- all of them.
12/25 - 149
Merry Christmas, all! I plan to enjoy the food - not many sweets here, but I did bake a mince pie and some shortbread. I'm actually staying close to my maintenance calories, just more carbs than usual. Beautiful weather, so I'm off for a walk. Enjoy your day!
12/26 - 149.2
I absolutely enjoyed two generous servings (lunch and evening) of the mincemeat pie I baked and a couple of pieces of shortbread, plus a healthy dinner of turkey, a bit of dressing, gravy, sweet potatoes (steamed, not candied), brussel sprouts (steamed), cranberry sauce (homemade - cranberries + fruit-only blueberry spread - delish!) I went for a lovely hour's walk along the river, and otherwise just chilled with my hubby & doggy, knitting and reading. Today I'm back on track with the eating (yes, leftovers, but all healthy) and hopefully a walk (although it looks like rain, of course - Oregon!). Don't know that I'll make my goal to maintain, but I don't think I'll be too much over, either. I hope you all had a delicious Christmas if you celebrate, and lovely day if not.
12/27 -149.8
Not unexpected! And it's fine. I'm back on track as of yesterday, and working on cutting back a bit on net carbs. I won't make my goal this round, but a pound or two Christmas/birthday week is fine. Ready to roll in 2018!

@rtls Be strong! Show your folks you’re in control!
A few years ago I started using a product sold by a cousin in hopes that I would lose weight. I did not lose. All along some of the people in those challenge groups touted the benefits of not eating sugar and grains. I could not imagine doing that! I am a bread-aholic! This past July I made a huge change and gave up those things. For the first time in 50 years, I have no knee pain. People said sugar and grains cause inflammation and now I believe it. It wasn’t an easy change to make, I am married to a junk-aholic. But if your joints hurt, you might consider trying it. I’m not sure how long it took to make a difference. I just realized one day that I wasn’t groaning when I sat down and stood up. Some people have asked how I am losing weight, what I am doing. I am eating a Ketogenic Diet. There are dozens (it seems) of websites and books. It really is all about limiting carbs, eating moderate amounts of protein and higher amounts of healthy fats. Totally the opposite of the reduced fat theories pushed on us for the last 40 or more years.
Insurance companies can be ridiculous and such a pain. We had a very hard time getting a nebulizer for Mom too. I'm glad you're on the mend even if it's slower than it should be. I have 3 sick children atm and a sick husband.2 -
I hope everyone has a wonderful end to the year

@nikki062181, here it is! A filet of beef covered with mustard, a mixture of mushrooms, scallions and garlic, prosciutto, and then all wrapped in puff pastry. It was delicious. I had one slice and that was plenty. My SIL found this on the Tasty app... everything is in video form now, which makes cooking a lot more fun... when you can see how things are created.

12/20: 158.7 1 out of 3 yesterday... I did get some good sleep last night. But not nearly enough water, no exercise, and a high calorie dinner. I feel even worse this morning. Just gotta hold on for a few days and then I have 11 days off from work! Don't know how I will manage 18 people at my house for Christmas eve, though... lots of water and vitamin C.
12/21: 159.6 Was so busy did not get a chance to check in!
12/22: 160.9 Oh boy. This is not a surprise! Had our dept. Christmas party last night. I don't think I need to go into detail. But... CHEESE! That is certainly my weakness. Today will be hard because I need to u-turn and get back on track. Hoping all the stuff I need to do today will keep me from eating mindlessly.
12/23: 160.3 Drank a lot of water yesterday, did a lot of running around. Still managed to eat cookies while baking with my son last night. Woke up feeling old this morning. Not in a vain way... just more like... crap, I'm tired! I think my body is not liking food as a coping mechanism anymore because yesterday (post-cheese and wine party) I just felt horrible! I think I did have a true hangover!
12/24: 160.3
12/25: 163.3
12/26: 161.3 My SIL made beef wellington for Christmas dinner. Decadent! I hope everyone had a nice holiday. It sounds like many of us are dedicated to getting back at it and starting out the new year strong. I am determined to get back into the 150s before the end of the year.
12/27: 160.8 Getting back down... my eating is still not great with all the leftovers around, but I got a good workout in yesterday and drank a ton of water.5 -

SW - 182.4 - March 2170
GW - 145 - reached this in October. I've lost a bit more since and I'm working on maintaining under 145. I've been pretty consistent at keeping a rolling 7 day average of 143.5.
12/18 - 145.4 - coming in from round 25...7 day rolling avg of 143.5
Day/Weight/Comment
12/19 - 145 - so busy today I'm finally getting around to posting what I saw on the scale this morning...I felt really bloated
12/20 - 142.8 - I could tell I was "flushing" away the water weight yesterday...now to stay on track the rest of the week before the madness begins
12/21 - 143 - in a good spot going into a celebration weekend!!
12/22 - 144.8 - bounced up...sodium and carbs and not enough water yesterday....the next week is going to be tough to control as I won't be eating at home much...and too many temptations. I'm not going to stress about it, I've come a long way and know what I need to do in the new year to get back to my sweet spot.
12/23 - 145.6 - heading to my parents place today so I probably won't get on the scale until we get back home on the 26th.
12/24 At Mom's...didn't weigh
12/25 At Mom's... didn't weigh
12/26 At Mom's...Didn't weigh
12/27 - 144.2 - Well that was a pleasant surprise seeing something under 145! I indulged a bit but really didn't feel the need to gorge myself on anything which is a big change for me this time of year. Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas if that's what you celebrate!!

Goal this round: keep my average from last round? or less!
UGW: +/- 145
12/19 173.4
Welp, it's the turning of the year, right around the corner. Definitely don't want to get into the "do whatever I want until New Years" state of mind. The next 10 days will be challenging.
I had a rough eating day today, I have a head cold and I think I ate to try to feel better. Not that that works! but tomorrow is another day!
Plan for tomorrow: stick to the plan. Drink all the water, and extra hot tea if I'm feeling snacky. Chewing gum. Brushing teeth after meals. Ugh, what else..
12/20 173.4
12/21 173.2
Hosting a holiday party!
12/22 174.5 not too bad for party aftermath.
12/23 forgot to weigh! plan for today: lots of fruits and vegetables, and lots of water.
Need to come up with a plan for the brunch tomorrow. And then stick to it.
12/24 175.4 Brunch at family friends, followed by dinner at the fam's house!
12/25 No Scale. Dinner at the in-laws!
12/26 179.0 wow. I guess we will see how much is water weight. Had an awesome holiday meal with the family. Back on track today!
12/27 176.8 two pounds down.. only 3.8 to go to get back to the start of this round! Ugh, excited to get back on my routine. At least this round I'm paying attention and forcing myself to stay checked in, instead of the "oh well" attitude!
12/284 -
I HAVE the power and determination to do this.
Current Focus: In the normal range for my age height and build, on maintenance.
Had a bit of a blip last round as I was ill.
Primary Goal - 160lbs +/- 2lbs.
Of course, losing a pound a Round would be ace, as I would like a cushion for celebrations.
to all the Newbies, and Hi to those returning for another Round. This has given me an element of daily accountability which is motivational.
Observations, and Previous RoundsMany events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! The game continues!
A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

I'd be higher but I was too nauseated to eat yesterday. I feel fine today (it was a reaction to an antibiotic) but it gives me a chance to reset. I've hard a hard time since Thanksgiving, with holiday gatherings and all. For the rest of the month I just don't want to lose ground and I'd love to see several days under 160.
12/20: 160.0
Pleased not to see a bump today. Did pretty well with my day overall.
12/21: 159.5
My lowest weight so far, I saw it so briefly back in Round 24. This time I want to keep moving in the right direction! Did well today, resisted all the goodies left in my inbox.
12/22: 159.0
I know it's early to claim this, there are still fluctuations to come, but this weight puts me in the "normal" BMI category, and I've been happy about it all day. This is a major goal a long time coming.
12/23: 159.5
Totally normal fluctuation, I hope I stay in this neighborhood. Had a good day, no sugar, ate well, good on protein, a little exercise, 2L water.
12/24: 159.0
Another good day.
12/25: 158.5
I didn't eat to the point of being uncomfortable and I did some walking, but mostly I didn't even try to stick to any rules today. I'm sure I'll go up tomorrow but hopefully it won't take long to regain lost ground. Had a nice holiday, I hope you all did, too.
12/26: 160.0
Yup. Back on track today.
12/27: 158.5
Great, went right back to my lowest weight... BUT today I got some late holiday goodies given to me and darned if I didn't eat them. Have to do better than that the rest of the week.4 -

12/22: 219-- Very happy because I was thinking I would have a small gain-I binged a little on chocolate (sugar to comfort) and have not worked out the last 2 days. Back at it today to keep it going down as much as possible before surgery because I will be a sitting duck then.
12/23: 219.4 My favorite cousin took me to our favorite seafood spot to help cheer me up---fried food and sodium!
12/24: 219.8----not going to complain, nor make excuses. 'Tis the season to eat, drink and be merry!!!!!

Day/Weight/Comment
12/19 - 220.2 - NSV - after what feels like weeks of eating sandwiches and previously made meal preps from earlier this month, I finally had time to make dinner after work. Usually it's draining but it's nice to not have to microwave dinner.
12/20 - 219.6 - NSV - steps in, only gave into the cookie cravings a few time.
12/21 - 218.8 - let the wooing begin!! Whatever, I haven't seen the 218 on the scale for over 10 years so I'm pretty damn proud at the moment, and you can't bring me down today. Don't worry, it'll go up at Christmas cause I'm going to eat all the turkey and I'll also be petty happy with myself then too.
12/22 - 219.6 - looks like I'm regulating and this also probably marks the start of the alcohol consumption bump (I do hope the concerned wooing folks are feeling better now ), seems even one drink spikes the scales which is normal for me. Since I'll be having a few for the next few days I'm expecting the rest of this round might be gains, which is fine, it's the holidays and I'll be back to a regular routine again in January.
12/23 - 220.2 - the alcohol bump continues, to be expected, but I got my steps in so I'm satisfied.
12/24 - 218.6 - I think something weird happened to my scale cause this doesn't seem accurate, but it's the number that appeared so that's what's here. Didn't get my steps in and ate all the yummy Christmas goodies, but I did drink lots of water and only had one glass of wine. I don't think I went overboard so I'm happy.
12/25 - ? - home for the holidays without the scale but good money says it's up. Didn't hit any goals and ate all the food but it's Christmas and I'm willing to work a little harder next year in order to enjoy this time with my family. Won't have numbers for the rest of this round, but will still check in for goals.
12/26 ? - still home without my scale, still eating treats so likely that number is rising. I did however get my liquids in and did two walks today and went over my step goals, plus no alcohol consumption today! Maybe I'll completely miss the alcohol bump by the time I get home.
12/27 - ? - still home without a scale, still eating treats, likely gaining but no alcohol consumption, but very few steps and snacks after 8. Still on vacation, will be better when I'm back in the city.

I shall endeavour to be mindful about eating. With a birthday, hen do, wedding and Christmas in the next 10 days I'm going to have to be otherwise this new low is gonna evaporate!
12/19 - 136.4 - a new low
12/20 - 137.2
12/21 - 138.8 - Hen do last night, eat loads of lovely food. I'll eat clean today.
12/22 - 138.0 - didn't eat clean....I think that's going to be a recurring theme over the next few days.
12/23 - 138.4 - Wedding done, now just need to get through Christmas without too much gain.
12/24 - 138.4
12/25 - 138 4
12/26 - 138.8
12/27 - 138.6

Historical SW (January 2017): 193
Recent SW: 187.6
R25 SW: 181.8
Goal for this round: Damage control! Be very careful about all the extra goodies that will be everywhere and exercise as much as possible to offset calories.
12/19: 180.6 Two parties yesterday, so a .8 gain is WAY better than it would have been had I not been on these challenges.
12/20: 180.2 Was hoping for more loss than that, especially after a killer workout yesterday, but I’ll take it.
12/21: 179 Made myself go back to the gym last night at 8 pm. It worked!
12/22: 178.8 Took a 1.5 mile walk in the afternoon. Had a few goodies, but not TOO many. NSV: Except for the sausage balls, they aren’t as appealing this year.
12/23: 177.8 WooHoo! 15K+ steps, 1.5 mi walk in the morning, walked through two parks with Christmas lights displays with the kids at night. Had Christmas dinner with daughter’s little family, and STILL lost a pound! Enjoyed small pieces of two different pies, but scheduled dinner mid-afternoon instead of late in the day which helped, I think.
12/24: 178 Crazy day but this little tiny up is ok; Merry Christmas, everyone!
12/25: No scales today but I’m sure I’m up after yesterday; was able to get in a good walk midday though
12/26: No scales today, but again, I know I’m up. We can count this as a re-feed or whatever, but it’s fine! I’m so proud of the fact that I LOST 10 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas instead of having gained that amount! I’ll lose whatever I’ve tacked back on this last two days without any issues because in that month, I learned so much about HOW to lose weight in a manageable and sustainable way. Thank you to the hosts of this group; it has really helped with that process.
12/27: 178.6 I’ll take that! Did not totally undo all the hard work I had done, but still enjoyed some of the wonderful, homemade goodies. Back on track yesterday and loving life! Traveling today, so will be using a different set of scales tomorrow. Wonder if they are calibrated the same?
12/28: New Scales: 180.8 I don’t think I ate enough yesterday to have gained this much but I am at our condo in Florida with a different set of scales, so this represents a new set point for me for the next 10 days or so.3 -

12/19…162….if I can stay in this 2 pound bounce around that I have been doing since joining the challenges will be good through the end of the year. The last 2 holiday parties the 29th & 30th (at my house and all the cooking etc.) The other 2 on the 24th & 25th shouldn’t be quite as bad. (hopefully).

12/25….161
12/26….161 way too many sweets….that will be major for me to cut them back out again. Hope that everyone had a nice holiday!

Oh dear. Fell off the wagon a bit and had poutine/fancy coffee yesterday. But it was my first day back at work after a month off for surgery so I figured why not lol. Will get back on track for the next round.

10 Day Goal: 144.XX ? I would love to lose weight over the holidays, but I think maintaining is probably more achievable. I'm still going to give it a go though.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/19- 145.42 I'm doing ok with sticking to my calorie goal, but I need to find time to get back to exercising.
12/20- 144.76 DH and I agreed to fill the stockings this year with a few pieces of really nice chocolate rather than filling them to the brim with tons of sweets and treats. Less temptation in the house is a good thing.
12/21-144.76
12/22-144.76 My joints have been aching and swollen for the past 2 days. My sodium hasn't been high so I'm guessing I just need more water.
12/23-146.3 Far too much Christmas cheer followed by late night snacking.
12/24 My parent's came in from out of the country. It has been nonstop at my house. Attempting to measure and record what I'm eating, but it is tough.
12/25 Went over my calorie goal by more than 1,000. Really disappointed in myself. I didn't expect to stick to my calorie goal, but the number is just out of control. I need to learn to celebrate without stuffing my face.
12/26 Haven't weighed in days. Noticed today my pants were already tight. I need to do better tomorrow.
12/27 146.96 Why is it so easy to put on weight and so difficult to lose it and keep it off... Uggg Can't imagine the weight gain is going to get much better over the next 2 weeks with my parents visiting.
12/28 145.86 I'll take this. Same as my start weight. Not sure if it will stick here, but for now... No complaints. lol
