If you do this.... lose one pound a week next New Year’s Eve you will have accomplished a significant goal.
I have used this Challenge the past two years as a means to focus my WL effort on an achievable weekly goal. And IT WORKED! I lost 80# not 104# BUT I’m now near my GW.
Join in if you're ready to do it this for the next 52 weeks, one pound at a time.
Get In exercise, eat healthy, veggies, fruit & protein... Beware of your portions and mindlessly eating when you’re not really hungry, just bored.
Eat Less junk food and fast food.
Weigh in weekly... or daily... whatever works for you. Just copy the information below and paste it in your post.
Welcome to the 2018 Lose 52 Pounds in 52 Weeks Challenge.

Hi All,
Firstly congratulations to all the participants in last years 52 pounds in 52 weeks Challenge. Particularly those that lost a significant amount of weight and stuck with it for the 52 weeks. I only started reading the forums in the past month and found last years thread and the participants motivating and encouraging, hence I want to give this ago.
I'm a 42 year old male, 169cm tall (5ft 6), and my weight over recent years has hovered around 95-100kg (210-220lb). In the past 3 months from cutting out snacking, exercising and watching would I eat, I have lost 10kgs (22lb)
Obviously I measure myself in metric therefore to make it easy my weekly goal will be 0.5kg. I weigh myself at the gym 3 times a week and will at least post my Monday weight.
Welcome to everyone joining in on this journey, and I look forward to drawing motivation from our successes, encouragement as we overcome our challenges, and holding myself accountable for my outcomes.

This week's successes:- Getting back on track after slacking off for two weeks
- Having meals prepped and frozen for the beginning of the year
- Creating a workout routine that balances cardio, strength, indoor and outdoor activities
- Using a custom "tasting spoon" entry for foods that are not easily logged
- Dedicating a time block at the end of the day to make up for missed workouts or to complete a workout
- Being mindful of not consuming lots and lots of holiday leftovers that may not log correctly in terms of calories
- TIME MANAGEMENT
- Rebuilding my strength after two weeks of slacking
- Avoid becoming discouraged.
I've been on MFP for almost a year, and I have to say I've learned heaps from everyone. I look forward to the new year, and seeing us all work towards our health goals together. Cheers!8 -
