How do u eat ur peanut butter? Healthy suggestions other than on bread/crackers etc??:)

    ON a spoon, apple slices or celery sticks - yummmm!! Celery sticks are the best because even though you get to eat the celery you are basically only counting the peanut butter.:laugh:

    I eat 1 tbsp of light PB with a granny smith apple sliced up (which yes, is high in carbs like crackers but NOT processed and has more fiber) to help bump up my fat intake.

    On a spoon :) Actually i found these whole wheat flax see pita by joseph (at walmart)
    60 calories each I split them spread on pb replace the top and cut in 4's like a pie
    so good and filling

    Mm yeah good old celery boats -great with raisins onto of that! Too bad I have braces and aren't allows toast or celery :( lol

    I don't like cooked oats (texture thing) so I mix 2 tbs pb, about 1/3 C raw oats and just a splash (1.5 tsp??) of maple syrup together. It's very thick and gooey and kind of tastes like a no bake cookie.

    I also just eat pb by the spoonful, on a sandwich (clever, huh?) or occasionally on pancakes/waffles.

    In a protein shake and in oatmeal with some splenda brown sugar yum! Also on an Arnolds sandwich thin with slices of banana and some honey.

    But make sure you measure -- is easy to over indulge!!!!

    On apples, graham crackers, whole wheat deli thins and oatmeal.

    If you're good about measuring and portion control, try mixing PB with vanilla ice cream (and sometimes Nutella) for a treat!

    On a spoon or on a banana. Sometimes in a smoothie, but not often because I have so many other things in there that it's already high in calories. If I have a lot of calories left over and REALLY want to indulge, I'll get a big soup spoon and scoop out about a tablespoon of peanut butter on top of a tablespoon of Nutella. YUM!

    Love PB with banana's! Not many people like it, but I'm totally hooked. PB on whole wheat bread with Nutella is also good....but not as healthy :)

    I had braces, on top of 3 other separate orthodontia pieces at any given time during the 2 and a half years I had the braces...and toast never bothered me. If your orthodontist said toast is bad for braces, you should seek a second opinion.:tongue:

    I'm not sure exactly how healthy it is, but I used to take a pack of sugar-free vanilla jell-o pudding, skim milk (or whatever you prefer), and peanut butter...mix it all together...made a yummy peanut butter mousse. :smile:

    Peanut butter quinoa cookies. Lots of texture, subtle flavour, fantastic all around.
  • I'll mix some PB2 with Hershey's lite chocolate syrup, slice up a banana and spread it on each slice. Freeze it for at least an hour (or more is fine) and then it makes SUCH a delish evening snack!

    Otherwise I take my PB2 on a whole wheat english muffin every single morning for breakfast.
