Weight gain for teen

Could really use some help.. I’m 18 about 5’2 in height I weigh around 70-80 not exactly sure I need some tips or recommendations on what to do to gain weight for example what to eat what to take and so on do I need a routine or plan I should go by? I heard ensure is good option also but I haven’t tried it
My biggest goal is just to gain weight once I achieve my goal I would then exercise if I choose too I know that body types is important I’m just trying to see we’re my gained weight goes to first then I’ll tone

It will save you a lot of headache if you gain weight correctly in the beginning rather than seeing where it goes and toning later. A good plan to follow would be eating every 2-3 hours or a protein shake if you don’t have time for a meal. Make sure that you in a calorie surplus of 250-500+ And continue to workout. This way the weight you will gain will be clean weight and not fat.2

OP, the above thread will provide some insight into foods and strategies to help you gain weight. And the below link is a good place for a good resistance routine so you can limit fat gains and help maintain your health. Even with a small surplus, there will still be fat gains, unlike what natester15 says. For women about 75% of your gains will be body fat. And it will be 100% fat if you don't do any resistance training.
