I get the dumb blonde reaction all the time. I think it’s mainly because I grew up without a tv, so most pop culture references sail right over my head. I also have a hearing issue that makes it embarrassing to ask for clarification all the time, so I frequently just nod and make a vague comment to avoid ruining the flow of the conversation. These two things really seem to be the heart of the problem. The blonde hair is just coincidental.
