only 30 minutes for sex?
im sorry .
anyways, no, it does not burn enough to be worth logging.27 -
Consider it a bonus. And enjoy!0

Sex falls under NEAT. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.10

Dr. Google says “To calculate how many calories you burn the next time you have sex, multiply the time in minutes by 4.2 (for men) or 3.1 (for women).”0
-
The calories burned from sex are negligible.
..... but the calories burned running away from the angry boyfriend must count for something.10 -
Well, this is bul@lsh*t!

30 minutes! What a stayer!!!4

You might want to look into various practices that involve punishment and postures you can only hold with the right amount of muscle strength. Maybe3

Frankly there's no truly accurate way of measuring calories burned. For that matter the calories contained in food are a guestimate that can be off by 10%. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.livescience.com/26799-calorie-counts-inaccurate.html3 -

There is certainly an accurate way to measure calories burned, but it is in a controlled lab environment. HRMs and fitness trackers assume MET and Heart Rate as indicators of VO2.
Edit: but i don't see how this is relevant to my comment about this being a primary example of why HR is not indicative of calories burned.5 -
Let me rephrase, there's no accurate way for us normal folk to track it. We used best guesses, and that's fine, but people should be aware there's error involved2

Forgive me for thinking this might not be serious coming form a person with no profile and only two posts.6

Sure, but i was more so saying that the margin of error between....- Heart Rate via smart watch for running
- vs.
- Heart Rate for doing it
is going to be larger. One the heart rate is indicative of work being done and calories being burned, the other... not so much.2 -
Just to clarify...to what body part would one attach a fitness tracker during sex???
Asking for a friend...13 -

I think we are always asking for that same friend. He is always so curious.8 -
I consider sex part of normal activity not exercise.
Depending on what you do would burn different amounts of calories.
I'd only count it as exercise if you are doing something above your normal level of effort.1 -
