i'll start off by saying i've lost 118lbs since january 2017 while on weight watchers.
i've found that weight watchers no longer feels like the right fit for me and while double-tracking my points with calories, i've only been eating 900-1100 calories a day on average and especially now that my workouts have increased, i'm not consuming enough fuel for my body.
enter MFP. and my slight mental breakdown. i'm petrified of screwing up and falling off track and gaining my weight back. now, i realize it would take a substantial screw up to gain back all i have lost, but i'm mainly worried about losing my mojo.
pretty much just wanted to vent out my feelings somewhere that people would understand. if you've made it this far, thank you for being an accepting audience!

I just find it odd that WW offers a constantly varying mind-screw and some people have great success with it while others don't and none of them realize why.
Relax. Count the calories. Fuel your exercises. You'll keep the weight off.9 -
Congrats on your weight loss!! That's amazing!!
I'm a creature of habit - there's been times where I couldn't conform to my schedule and I let it derail me. Enter weight gain. You'll find your happy medium. You obviously know what you're doing, trust the process, and trust what you've learned thus far. Give yourself a buffer, if you go above that buffer, you know you need to dial it in.
Even if you lose your mojo for a minute, there's no reason you can't get it back. You got this! And congrats again on your success!!5 -
First off, that's AMAZING WORK. The dedication to lose that much weight is unreal, and I applaud you!
Now, everyone loses motivation, and it's not easy to work through it. Some days you just have to keep trudging on. From someone who lost 140, then maintained for a long time, and is now trying to lose 20 pounds she gained back, it's not the end of the world! I promise!
The biggest thing is to keep yourself accountable. I monitored my weight and knew when I was getting a little too high. I then set myself a limit, and once I hit 190, I knew it was time to stop letting myself just let go. I struggled for a bit, bouncing between 187-189 and now I'm finally back on track and down to 186 and have my motivation back. I gained the weight in 6 months and struggled for about 3 more months.
None of this happens overnight - not the weight gain, not the weight loss, not the motivation. Some days you just have to work out even if you want to cry. Some days you have to let that craving eat at you. Some days you just need a cheat day.
Don't be afraid when weight loss slows down, either, especially going from such low calorie goals. If you bump it up to something more sustainable long-term, it won't drop as quickly. It also slows down just getting closer to your goal weight. It takes time, and I promise, it WILL finally get to the day you're waiting for, as long as you just keep working at it.
You've lost 118 pounds, you KNOW how to do the dang thing! If you slip, get back up. Keep getting back up. Never let yourself stay down, and for God's sake, don't let fitness and health instagrams demotivate you (just a little personal tip on that one, lol!).6 -
thank you guys for replying ❤️ just gotta take it one day at a time and find my new groove. 30 more pounds to lose and it’ll come off when it comes off!2

Know something? You'll be tracking your weight, so if you see your'e screwing up for some time, i.e. gaining for more than one or two weeks (that could be your period), you can straighten it up.
I mean you are in the driving seat.

Use MFP and accurately log everything you eat. If you notice your weight going up a little make some small minor adjustments in what you are eating. You wont accidentally gain that weight back in a short time frame. So plan you meals at least at 1200 cals per day and tweak it from there. Maybe even add some food depends on what you are seeing happening with you body. Remember not all weight gain is bad if you are adding some muscle.1

I haven't lost nearly the weight you have but I went from a very long, sustained caloric deficit to eating at maintenance and eating intuitively. I weigh myself every day and I've been bouncing around between 3 pounds. I think if you keep your eye on things and stay calm you'll be fine.1

I second/third this.
While you get used to MFP, set your calories at maintenance and get the hang of logging and give yourself a little adjustment time. Then, reset your goals to a reasonable deficit and kick *kitten* at what you have left to lose.1
