Good cleanse ideas? Nothing crazy just something to help re-vamp my clean eating.

I have gotten a bit off track since my birthday in January, and now whatever I eat good or bad I just feel like crap. I've done fasting before, certain cleanses here and there but would love to hear your opinions, ideas? Nothing crazy maybe a day or two tops! Just want a fresh start...

You could simply do a 1-day fast, drinking only water. Only one day. If nothing else it will make you pay attention.10

There are no good cleanse ideas. If everything you're eating is genuinely making you feel like crap, a doctor visit sounds more in order than a cleanse.15

Eat better.
If you feel ill, visit a doctor, not some hack at a supplement store who is being PAID to sell you these specialty drinks.7 -
Print off cleanse suggestions, place in bin.
Eat some better quality, nutrient dense food and make sure you're eating enough. See a doctor if you're ill.12 -
Well, cleanses, detoxes, fasting, fresh starts, clean eating and good and bad food sounds crazy, so... maybe it's all the buzzing from the buzzwords that makes you feel like crap? Healthy eating isn't that difficult. Eat a little bit of everything you like, make sure some of that is fruit and vegs, and enjoy it. You're worth it!7

I agree with this. I like to do a one day fast (I usually do 36 hours) now and then.10 -
I get the “I’ve eaten nothing but crap all weekend/I need to eat a plant” ick feel, but when I get that way I just eat better. No cleanse (that’s what our liver and kidneys are for), nothing drastic like a fast. Sometimes I make a point of having a big old smoothie with lots of fruit and greens to start me back on the right track, but usually I find just getting back on track in general makes me feel better.12

There are no effective or safe nutritional interventions to 'cleanse/detox' your body, if your liver, kidneys and GI tracts are functioning normally (if not seek immediate medical attention) then they do a pretty good job of this.7

In one night a colonoscopy prep will cleanse you to the point that your intestinal walls are sparkling.11

"Cleansing" is a nonsense. If you're feeling rubbish about eating "naughty" foods and maybe boozing too much maybe you're craving a day of the opposite. Have a fruit based homemade smoothie or fruit salad with yoghurt and seeds for breakfast, a homemade soup or jacket potato with roasted peppers for lunch then a homemade dinner with protein, veggies, carbs all cooked lovingly from scratch and just drink water the rest of the day. You don't have to starve yourself to feel like you're treating your body well. Go for a walk to blow the cobwebs away and get an early night.10

First of all, happy birthday.
2nd, I agree with the above that a cleanse wont really help....just get back to logging and working out. Get back into making it a habit.

As others have said, cleanses are unnecessary as is the idea of a kick start; and clean eating is a vague subjective term that means something different to everyone. Labeling things as “bad” and “good” is also pointless. You just need to start with what ever plan tomorrow intend to follow but it sounds like you need to stop believing in woo and pseudoscience first.
If you really feel bad no matter what you eat, see a doctor.3 -
I have fantastic news for you! You're body has this amazing thing that cleanses and removes toxins naturally. Its called your liver.
In all seriousness those are all a massive waist of time, money and effort. Any weight that is lost is water and will come back as soon as you stop in two days. Save yourself the trouble and put the time in effort into eating well and exercising and you will feel fresh from that.2 -
Best advice I've seen for a "cleanse" is to stop drinking alcohol for about a month, eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit with the minimum cooking required, reduce dairy as much as possible without compromising calcium intake, reduce red meat for a month making sure it is as low fat as possible, and reduce processed carbs. Go hard for two weeks and then slowly reintroduce dairy and red meat at lower levels than previously. Drink lots of water and not much else.
Basically its almost identical advice to the general idea of fixing your diet to lose weight/get heathier.16 -
Cleansing/detox diets are crazy enough. I'm crazy and I've done this as well. I lasted for a couple days before I switched it up to other healthy alternatives. (Yes, I thought I was able to do something like this for a long time.)
All I had on the menu were green smoothies water, and coffee in the AM. Bought the Nutribullet for my smoothies but blenders work as well. I blended kale, cucumbers, parsley, celery, apple, and mango(sugary), and orange juice together.
Chugged it down for lunch and dinner. Drank ice-cold water whenever I got hungry and my stomach was dying for juice burgers. My mouth was salivating whenever I watched gym-goers on YouTube eating 10,000-calorie cheat day meals, so you can my mind's dilemma here. Yes, I'm stupid to do that to myself. It was my way of staying motivated to do such a cleanse to lose weight. (Obviously it didn't work.)
I had energy to last me throughout the day but when hunger hit, water wasn't good enough and I ended up taking naps to sleep the hunger off, resulting in me drinking more cold water whenever I woke up from the hunger. I thought about doing this during the weekend when I had no where to go to and had no tasks to complete. Didn't want any distraction except for television.
Detoxing is best for the first day or two of a healthy lifestyle change. I don't recommend doing it to lose weight. You can do that with eating healthy and drinking A LOT of water.
I also did an apple diet (eating only apples and drinking water for the whole day) for the month of November. Not entirely. Some days I had chicken fingers. It was fun.15 -

There’s no such thing as a good cleanse.3
