I'm working on lifting heavier. Currently at 4 sets of 5 reps, 120 lbs. I weight 143. Where are you at in your weight lifting journey?

Are you looking for rep maxes or 1 rep maxes? My gf is at about a 145 1rm after training for just over 2 months. Starting at a 75lb 1rm0

5'5"ish, 136 lbs, currently a 200# 1RM4

I suck at squatting. I've been doing it for a few months and I feel stuck at 115lbs, 5 x 5.
5'5 214lbs3 -
59 years old, 5', 148 lbs, my 1RM is 245 lbs.23

42 years old, 5’9”, 176 lbs, 230 1RM.8

My squat max is 240, in the gym. Didn't get it on the platform last year. I've been rehabbing an injury so I think I'm right there again.
I can pull this off anywhere from 138lbs (where I compete) to 147lbs (where I am now).6 -

If you're stuck at 5x5, change your rep scheme, or deload and work back up. I squat 3 times per week, one day squatting 8's, one day at 4-6 reps, and one day of triples. Weight is obviously different for each session.2 -

It is called Daily Undulating Periodization, as opposed to linear periodization like 5x5. But really you should stay linear for as long as you can. Eventually you cannot progress by simply adding weight every session anymore though.3 -
43 yrs. old 5’3” I weight 130 lbs & squat 135 for 5 reps 3 sets. But I work up to that.. those are my final reps-sets0

I can do 150 5x5, sometimes try 155, but not so great yet. I can do triples at 160 and doubles at 165...squat is not my best lift. I think I cardio too much, lol. 5'3" 1161

42yr old, 104lbs, 5'1" - 165 1RM3

38, 5'3, 140lbs-
competition max: 200lbs; gym PR: 210lbs2 -
Last summer at 23, 5'1'' 178 lbs- my meet PR was 304 lbs
A few months after that I was up to 275 lbs for a set of 8 (cutting during this time, so I was at a few pounds lower body weight). Unfortunately got injured shortly after and never got to retest my max, I'm sure I was well over a 315 1RM at that time.6 -
28, 5’5”, and 155lbs
I started going to a women’s weight lifting class about 4 months ago and then started working with a trainer. The most I’ve squatted so far is 160lbs.0 -
I have not tried to one rep max in a year but last year I was at 315 low bar (gym PR/297 IPF meet PR) at 178-180, 5'5", 43 years old. I had to switch back to high bar due to some physical issues and am currently at 235# 5 sets of 6 reps high bar, hoping to get my high bar one rep max over 300. I didn't start lifting until I was a couple months shy of 40 so no matter where you start just remember to keep going!8

130lbs 5'7 31 years old at 192lbs 1rm back squat. want to get that to 220lbs before the year is out without gaining too much weight so it will be just over 1.5x by body weight.1
-
5'0, 135 lbs and 190 1RM. I think I could have done more though. I wasn't using a spotter or a safety rack, so I didn't want to risk anything1

5'5", 149lbs and 29 years old. My heaviest weight for squats has been 245lbs but my heavy sets are usually at 225lbs for 5 reps.
Currently bulking so I am planning to start increasing my squat weight again as strength increases.1 -
It depends, I was able to lift 121 lbs but now I'm down to 88 cos I'm doing more reps at the end of Monday .1
-
5"7" 148 lb, most recent 1RM 205 lb. I'm injured so I am sadly doing boring accessory work and rehab right now.2

Torn meniscus in my knee - I'm squatting pretty much just for rehab. ~65 lbs for volume.0

Lol. My squats are so little compared to you ladies!!!
I’ve recently come back to lifting after taking a break for 18 months due to mental health. I’ve made it so far to 40kgs (88lbs)
I’m doing my StrongLifts 5x5 so I completely deloaded. I’m hoping to build it up slowly and steadily. You guys are my inspiration5 -

I find this interesting. I can squat 245 as well but I don't know if I can do 225 for 5s. I don't think so.0 -

Don't feel bad. It's taken me a full year to go from the bar to 80 kg. Not sure why this is my slowest growing lift... but it is. I've just crested my own body weight... so yeah. Sometimes I feel frustrated by that. I have to keep reminding myself that I am my own competition, and that comparison is the thief of joy.2 -
154 lbs 5´6 26 years old never tried 1rm but my maximum is 198 lbs x 5. Im in a cutting phase atm but hoping to break it when i get back to bulking.5

I'm not sure what my max is but I can reliably work out with 95lbs.2
