One day at a time
One hour at a time
One meal at a time.
Some days one minute at a time.
Also, don’t throw trash the car if you get a flat tire.14 -

This post made me emotional. For the first time in a long time I weighed myself over the weekend and the number knocked the wind out of me - 330 lbs. It was soul-crushing but a reality check at the same time. I’m carrying my notebook/phone with me at all times to make sure I capture and enter everything I put in my mouth. It blows my mind how quickly the calories add up. I can barely stand to think how many calories I’ve been eating per day. I still made bad food decisions this week but instead of ignoring them, as I’ve done for so long, I am writing it down and really looking at how it affected my whole day and week. This post is definitely the inspiration I needed; this is possible. I can get back what I put in. Thank you to everyone that shared!38

I love looking at this thread! You are all such an inspiration. I especially love seeing all the AFTER pictures and all the cute new outfits. It's way more fun to dress a smaller body.
@jfoster052185 and anyone else just starting out (or re-starting). You have to take one day at a time and do your very best. There are some great threads here on MFP that will help you if you are struggling with what to do and how to really get going.
Here are the best of the starter threads:

You are all so inspiring and beautiful! I don't have pictures yet because I am too afraid I won't see a difference and I don't want to do anything that will discourage me. I know I am doing amazing work though! I started at 340 in August and am now at 295. I love knowing that my weight will never start with a 3 again. :-)12

Update post! Definitely not finished yet but looking at 50 pounds down! Possibly more because there was a period I just didn't weigh (around when the first picture was), but I know for sure 5055 -

This thread is so inspiring! I'm hoping to put my picture on her someday, hoping to be at my halfway point of my 118lb goal by summer, currently 48lbs down!4

Had to post on here again! My mind has been playing tricks on me lately, so I decided to take some photos to set it straight. I am 6’1” and I started using MFP on 7/5/16.38 -

That pink and white dress is to die for! You look so phenomenal!1 -
I just recommitted. My starting weight is 313.12

Here’s my before and during! I’ve been doing keto since January 2017 and lifting (heavy) weights since January 20182

Starting weight was 278. Current weight is 135. I transitioned slowly from omnivore to vegetarian and then vegan & began slowly with exercise & pushed my endurance. I learned that consistency is key and it’s a lifestyle change, not a “diet”. I slowly removed the bad food from my life and replaced them with good so that my mind AND body could adjust. It’s been an incredible journey. It’s almost coming up on a year of me maintaining my weight and health! Excited!! If I can do it, so can you!! Keep calm & carry on, rockstars!50
