CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE! Starting now! (Great for those who don'

Hi everybody, I was looking for some challenges and found some that were closed, some that used gym memberships (which I don't have, unfortunately!) and some that just didn't look like my type of challenge. So here is a challenge for those who are getting fit without a gym membership - that being said, if you DO have a gym membership and still want to join, please feel free!

We will have teams COMPETING! I'll leave this open for about 30 minutes or more to see how many people we get, then we can decide on how many teams we should have. (We can have cutesy little Xmas names, too :laugh: )
Here are the basic rules:
For every ounce you lose, you get 1 point. So for every pound you lose, you get 16 points! However, if you gain, let's say, 5 ounces, you also lose 5 points for your team.

You can post your current weight and goal weight below and I will put it in on a sheet. The sheet will consist of: the starting weight, the goal weight, the amount of weight lost so far, and your challenge statistics. (We will weigh in every Monday.)

As of right now, there are 137 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. Here is the challenge:
-Walk, run, bike, swim, hike, etc. - 400 MILES! That's about 2.92 miles a day. We can do that!

Ways to get bonus points:
If you reach 200 MILES within 68 DAYS (THE HALFWAY POINT) which would fall on October 16th, 2011, you get an extra 15 points!!
If you walk MORE than 400 miles before Xmas, for every extra mile you get an additional 2 points!!

  • Great!!! For those of you wondering - the challenge statistics are how far you have gotten to getting to the 400 mile goal. :)
  • how do we make the trackers to keep up with it? or were you wanting us to just post with you on what we've done daily?

    My goal weight is 160 when everything is said and done with.
