People can't be bothered...

But in my case, I'm the overweight, slow, out-of-shape guy who finds inspiration from successful people - be it people who are leaner than me, stronger than me, faster than me, or more accomplished than me in some other way. So I'm drawn to having those types of people on my FL - which means I've got a lot of fast, strong, good-looking people on my list. At least until they start to annoy me. But I don't think I'm creepy.
1. You're not creepy in the least bit.
2. WTF am I doing on your friends' list.
:-)

BTW, jjpptt2, I'm doing a tri camp with a friend of two in June and even May (Lake Placid) if the weather is agreeable. I know it's a ways away but we're IM training. You're welcome to join.0

I've got your body glide right here ; )1 -
I don't even remember what my profile says.
It probably should say:
I rarely accept new friend requests because I am a *kitten* friend. I do not wish to have a large friend list of people I never interact with. I never read my wall, never like anyone's post, never post anything to my wall, have shut off most of the post to my wall things, my diary is public, I post on the message board. I am not losing large inspiring amounts or doing a body transformation. I don't see why someone would want to be my friend here.

I understand you are half teasing. In all fairness, I have sent probably a total of 5 FR to people on here (roughly half male). I accept most FRs, and most if not all my requests are female, hence why I have "a fan club" according to you haha @goatg
Oh, so the throngs flock to you? I feel so flattered ; p
I'm totally teasing! If you knew me in RL, you'd see a broad grin across my face. It was funny, though: twice I've visited your wall to post something, only to stop because I mistook my location for the Church of Dan/Mt. Olympus.4 -

I never used my wall until I realized I could post daily jokes.2 -
Yo, guys, chill.
Most of these denies/judgments are coming from people who do NOT interact on the forum. I.e., strange guys who have only attractive women with no apparent communication.
And in that regard I'll keep judging all day long. There's always outliers but there's also efficiency, and I'm not in the business of wasting my time for men (or women) I don't know. Tyvm. *bow5 -

Understand that, but yet you specifically called me out even though I stood up for you when a lot of others were calling you out. But ok
I don't judge others on here for posting photos for validation. Look, I've been there too. I was 50 lbs overweight a few years ago. If this forum helps people feel better about themselves, then I welcome that.
Guys or girls that are creepy is a different story.
Anyway, I'm glad we can have this conversation like adults and not take it personally.
I was teasing you. My apologies if it came off differently.1 -

If you could see my friend list, you could probably say that about me, however, I don't send out many requests. The ones I did send, over half are male. I can't help who accepts requests and who sends them. But if you want to assume things about people, that's cool too.
I assume everybody on here is really an overweight old Pervy dude who lives in his moms basement where he has a bunch of computers set up, a bunch of catfishing accounts, boxes of tissue and a gallon of lotion.
I also agree with what I wrote here.1 -
Well this thread is just super silly with everyone teasing each other.4

Note to moderator:
See how conflict can breed better communication?
Too far?1 -
I'm happy for you. However, I'm not an overly social person or a friend-*kitten*, and I find I can only keep up with a certain number of people, as I like to know personal details and stories about each friend. So I think you are pretty off-base in assuming people with closed FLs or selective in who they add consider themselves "hot shots".
Maybe just keep your eyes on your own paper and don't worry about how others manage their accounts?

I'm a terrible person, lol. I just lurk on all the friends I have around here and read their stuff, but rarely comment or like anything.2 -
I'm just a bad motivator tbh. I can barely muster up my own motivation, let alone it for others.
Cool beans that you burned 2,649 calories doing 6 minutes of joint rolling. Yayyyyyy!1 -

Actually, yeah.
Limited emotional bandwidth. Receiving meaningful engagement from someone who cares is worth 100x "good job!" from someone who isn't emotionally impacted by your workout/weight/health achievements.
That takes time, dialogue, and meaningful exchange.
But hey. If a 'good job' is motivating for you, and viewing others' workouts/logs, go for it!
I find the automatic responses the worst. The “great day” or “great choices” on your locked food log.
Awww. That stings a bit because I'm probably guilty of this. haha. Honestly, though it's difficult to find so many ways to say the same thing.
I don't mind hearing generic feedback, either. Hell, I don't even mind if people just click 'like.' That's one second of someone's life that they decided to spend on me to try to motivate me. I should try to appreciate that.6 -
I rarely send requests. My bad

OMFG what a first world problem to have. Get off the internet, get off your sofa, go find another human being. Most everybody will give you the validation you need.3

Spoiling for an argument
Just saying.
Don't ask, don't get told. Jus say'in.0 -
I think it's kind of amusing people are being defensive and explaining their own friends lists.
Like, seriously I don't have to justify *kitten* to anyone. Just do you and don't worry about everyone else and I promise you'll be much happier.5 -
I find the " only want female friends" or "only mommy friends " far more obnoxious1
