Poll: Do you shower every day?

I shower most every day...although I have not yet showered today. Yesterday I did not get around to showering until the evening...didn't do anything particularly strenuous last night. This morning I wanted to get the boys out of the house early, since they were off from school and my husband was working from home. So there was no time (or need) to shower this morning. Had the kids out through mid afternoon. Came home to do some cookin' and cleanin'. I may try to get on the elliptical later, since I didn't go to the gym today. I will shower after since my bed has fresh sheets on it.0

I shower every night and wash my hair everyday! My hair is gross looking if I don’t wash it0
-
Most days, I shower once. However, any time I come home from a shift, or call at the station, I shower again.
That being said, it's time to go hit the shower and throw my duty clothes in the wash at the same time.0 -
No. I rarely use the shower. I do take baths every other day.0
-
Yep often twice. Water bill usually 120 bucks a month too0

If I go to the gym, I pretty much have to, and I go about 5 to 6 days a week. I sweat too much not to.0 -
Before making any conclusions about the replies you got, consider the fact that people who do shower daily are much more likely to reply.3

Twice. More often if I see fit. Long shower at night, shorter shower in the morning on work days, longer on days off. Wash hair every day at night and use conditioner only in the morning. If I've paid to have my hair styled I'll not wash it for up to two days, but it is hard for me.0

Nope. I'm not smelly or anything like that, but if I'm spending the day sitting around then I'll use that time for other things. I'll make sure to shower if I do get sweaty, otherwise its usually every 2-3 days.3

My coworker met a lady at a local shop. They started dating and after some time he began spending nights over her house and she would often sleep over his place.
He noticed that he never heard the shower running while she used the bathroom during these over night visits.
He shrugged it off as maybe she just liked to shower or bathe while she was alone in the house or something.
Fast forward a year they decide to move in together. Within a couple weeks of moving in, he noticed that he very rarely heard the water running in the bathroom and he then knew she wasn't taking a shower or bath very often at all.
It began to gross him out and he started to notice she smelled funny sometimes and often wore too much perfume. ( Probably to cover up her smell!)
He finally talked to her about it. He said " I noticed you don't shower very often and I'm wondering why?"
She replied" don't be silly! I'm in the ocean 4 times per week so I don't need to shower! The salt water cleans me off way better than any chemical soap could anyway. I'm probably the cleanest person you know!" ( She was an avid surfer and swimmer so that's why she was in the water so much)
He said he couldn't get past it and really began to notice her smells after that so he ended up breaking up with her soon after.
It goes to show that not everyone bathes frequently! Lol
Edited to add that he said she also would fold up clothing that she wore and put it back in the dresser without washing it. When he asked why she said that because it wasn't dirty enough to justify wasting water to wash it! Lol

No, sometimes I will skip a day here and there. Exercise days I absolutely have to though.1

Only before and after sex so everyday hahaha2

Every couple days for me, unless I did something stinky or my legs are too jumpy before bed. I only wash my hair every 3 or 4 days as well. I tend to get really irritated skin if I over wash, and I've been blessed with low sweating and not overactive oil glands. My daughter on the other hand.... needs a shower at least once, sometimes more every day.1

Usually Sunday through Friday once per day, and usually not on Saturday. I figured that since I didn't answer in my earlier post I should demonstrate the effectiveness of a 180 years ago zealot.0

Yes...& my hair is super long so I have to wash it every day. I also just love having a relaxing shower before the day begins1

I think that is a good example of confirmation bias - he didnt notice her smell until he knew she wasnt showering every day.
If it was a real problem he would of noticed it before he knew.

I shower nearly every day - occasionally have a pyjama day at home where i dont bother and occasionally shower again in evening if going out to dinner or something after hectic or sporty day.
I wash my hair alternate days and wear shower cap on the other days.
If power outage, (relatively common occurence here) I get by with a sponge wash
I am one of those grimy people mentioned upthread who shower in the morning and not before bed.2 -
Yes always. I always shower in the morning and always shower at night after I work out. I don’t workout every day but on the days I do, i shower. I’m also a big bathtub soaker and do that a few nights a week too.
I only wash my hair twice a week though.0 -
Yes1

I shower every day but try to go at least two if not three days between washing my hair. The more you wash it the more oil your scalp will produce.1
-
For me it's baths, not showers. Roughly 45 minutes every single day of life. It's how I relax, wake up, etc. Hugely important to me!
Maybe 2X per year I shower - only when I stay in a hotel with no tub.
Since a lot of people addressed hair washing frequency...I wash my hair about 5X per week. I washed it every single day for decades but all the negative press on that has me working on NOT washing daily. Honestly I don't see that it makes that much of a difference. I skip about 2 days per week and then use cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo/conditioner on 2 days. In the summer though when it's very hot & humid, I just wash it daily.1 -
I prefer baths1
-
Every other day when I don't exercise. I work at a desk job, I don't break a sweat.
Now that I am running though, I tend to take one after my run because I feel all gross.3 -
Yes. Sometimes twice a day if I get really sweaty0
-
Yes and during the summer I shower sometimes 2x-3x/day because the gym I train in has NO A/C and our house only has 1 window A/C. I wash my hair 2-3x/week1
-
Every day unless I know I’ll be doing something physical early the next morning.
If that’s the case than I’ll wait till I’ve done it (yard work, working out, working on the car) and then shower2 -
Daily showers are an absolute necessity! Minimum once daily, more if I work out, or change clothes from work to going out. I do not shampoo my hair daily though-it would get too dry. I co-wash twice per week and shampoo once per week, more for very sweaty workouts or hot summer weeks.0
-
Yep, daily, in the evening. I'm lazy in the morning and I also feel disgusting when I don't sleep clean. When it tends to get hot or super-extra (we have 40c periods in summer), it's another 1-2 5-minute showers.
Hair washing is another story, mine's pretty dry so I just wash it 2 times per week and pin it up the rest of time time.0
