the more you weigh/the more fat you have the more you can lose in the beginning. so say someone 400 lbs loses 10 lbs a week, a person 200 lbs couldnt lose that much safely. a lot of it in the beginning is water weight as well. eventually the weight loss will slow unless in too big of a deficit.6 -
I lost a significant amount the first week and I've averaged about 5 pounds a week the 4 following weeks. I do realize a lot was water weight, but I'll take it! I do have a lot more to lose, but I had to start somewhere.45

exactly but some will come here and wonder if they can do it at a weight where for them it may not be attainable. but we all have to start somewhere and as long as you are doing it in a safe manner thats all that matters and congrats.6 -

All they have to do is ask. I'm only sharing my results hoping that it may encourage someone.8 -
Thank you all!3

I had similar results when I started lost 11 lbs first week thought I'd be at goal in few months. Nope didn't quite work like that but I do appreciate the 2-3 lbs lost a week now. Everyone just has to keep it in perspective it's a marathon regardless of where you start.4

nothing wrong with sharing. but as for asking many dont they just come here and see other people doing things and think oh I can do that too,all the while not knowing the persons stats(height, weight, age, activity level and so on). Im not poo pooing on your weight loss or your sharing it so please dont think that was what I was doing. its great that you lost the weight.5 -
What way of eating are you doing to lose?1

you lose eating in a deficit of calories. what way one person eats may not be for another. some may get more satiated on high fat ,some may not, for some its protein, some carbs for others its a combo of a few things.any way of eating works as long as you create a deficit.5 -
Wow, that's awesome! Congratulations!1

And yay for no more blood pressure meds!2
