Only if its crispy on a baked sweet potato. Other than that, for some reason I just can't do it. The dog likes it though :D

I don't eat potatoes much anymore but when I did, I ate the skin, both white and sweet potatoes. I was told by a Registered Dietician that most of the nutrition lies in the skin.

Absolutely. It contains a ton of nutrients. I do this whenever possible.
A lot of our ideas about food are culturally framed.

I’ll eat orange skin, squash rind, I’ll toss moderate amounts of more bitter peels into smoothies.

I got into a debate whether it's more common to eat the skin or not when you have a baked sweet potato. I have always eaten the skin, but my friend was so amazed that I ate the skin and said shes "never seen anyone do that or heard of anyone doing that in her life."

So I am wondering what you guys on here do. Do you eat the skin or just the inside? If you don't, do you on a regular potato?

I've done this with regular potatoes, but NEVER with sweet potatoes.

    Yes.

When I had problems with IBS, I stopped eating the skin for a while bc it bothered my stomach, but I'm fine with it now.

I eat all potato skins, and I’m another shrimp tail eater as well.

I didn't until recently, but now I do. I started a similar thread a month or so ago. It's delicious!

I love the skin on sweet potatoes (and regular potatoes). But, I also eat the whole (skin and flesh) portion of lime or lemon in a drink, as well as shrimp tails. I learned something today - I had no idea that anyone else ate the shrimp tails.

Yes. But I also eat mango skin, and shrimp tails. I like the crunch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought I was the only one who ate shrimp tails! I always get the strangest looks when I eat them
