I still peeled myself out of bed on my day off at 630 in the morning and walked my butt to the gym. Even when i knew it was gross out normally id haggle with myself and say *kitten* the gym ill clean my house or something instead.
Admittedly the gym was fuller thn i expected and i only managed to do 45 minutes of bodyweight stuff in the studio (i love my alone time but its not the most muscle building or cardio sort of workout lol) So it wasnt the best workout ever but i kept myself moving and working every muscle i can i did good.
Screw you rain, I got this ;D
I absolutely did this myself last week (well, two out of five days, anyway!)

I met with a personal trainer for a "freebie" session at my gym. I found that I actually like working with weights. Go figure. There's an instant sense of satisfaction handling the free weights. Hopefully this is what I need to get reach my first goal. Only 18 more pounds to go!.23

Today I woke up with really bad TOM pains. First thought? Need to work out ASAP to get rid of this...
I was a couch potato, so just 8 months ago I'd have been on that sofa with paracetamol & a hot water bottle feeling no better for it(never did work for me)....instead I'm having my after workout latte thinking the pain is all but gone. Magic32 -
So I missed mentioning a milestone a while back... I am in one-derland! I think it happened back in January or December, I am not sure.
Next milestone - I am no longer classified as obese on the BMI scale! I know that it is really really not accurate, but it still feels good. Hit that one last Friday!
And today, I am wearing goal jeans! I bought these in the summer of 2015 and was only able to wear them a few months before I "outgrew" them. But I am wearing them again and a co-worker commented. And I am wearing the jeans without a belt! But, I don't live in the States so if I shrunk out of these I am going to have a problem because I can't get anyone to bring me new ones until mid-July.
PS - for anyone who doesn't know, NSV means non-scale victory. It means celebrating the things that show we are getting fitter and healthier. The scale is full of lies!22 -
I got out of bed when my alarm went off at 3:45 this morning, and I did NOT want to. :yawn:25

Oh me too! Working out doesn't get rid of the pain entirely but it reduces it SO MUCH, way more than anything else! A very welcome side effect of working out!

Last night when I was working out I noticed I had lost enough fat to just start to see my triceps! Exciting!23

One of my work colleagues i haven't seen in a while, saw me yesterday and said ," oh my goodness you have a coke bottle shape now!" I know i can't get rid of my pearshaped hips/butt because of genetics but i'll settle with looking like an hourglass shape. I've also been encouraging her to lose weight as well for her health and she lost some.23

Finally got back to swim circuits class and it was ace! so glad I got back to it and he ran it just for me haha. Pull ups and squat jumps then swim down to end underwater. repeat 5 times. Then some glide work and then some sprints. Last time I timed my 25m sprint it was 21 seconds. This morning........19!! woohoo!!
Not been working on underwater stuff for a while now, so that killed me a bit, but it felt so awesome to be back doing the different stuff.
Get to work and super mega boss lady is giving me 'weird' looks while I walk towards her in corridor. Passes and tells me I am looking very streamlined! hah23 -
3 consecutive weeks (and counting) of at least 30 minutes per day of purposeful exercise. I'd set a personal goal to do it 6 days per week so that's 3 extra days so far.23

I have 3 dresses from David's Bridal in my closet in one size... had to go buy yet another bridesmaid dress this weekend and I thought those would be too big so I tried on dresses in the size lower and they fit... but I ultimately ended up ordering two sizes less than the 2 in my closet!18

I walk/hike the hill behind our house with my husband and our dog. The whole trail is 4.5 miles, and I can go the entire way without stopping. When I started, I couldn't make it half a mile without stopping to catch my breath. I try to remind myself on days that I feel like I'm going too slowly.24

Amen to that sentiment, Gail! There's something primal about using your muscles to lift something heavy off the rack or the floor. Keep it up and I'm certain it will help you reach your goal!

So last Friday I set a goal of either biking or going to gym 3 times this week. This was only reason I went to Gym Monday and did 27 min on elliptical. Yesterday I was off but had a busy day planned so wasn't planning on biking but when we came out of Quilt Guilt meeting and the sun was out and it didn't feel cold like it had in the morning so decided to go out. Had to take my Husband to get car so ended up on trail near there and did 20 plus miles. Was cold enough that I almost wished I had grabbed the winter biking gloves instead of my regular ones but I survived. Did the more hilly part of the trail too.22

I’ve been going on evening walks with my mom who is trying to lose weight/get in shape. This is in addition to my morning gym routine, but I welcome the extra steps. Anyway, the NSV is that in the past, the hilly section of the path had winded me so bad that talking was not really possible. Last night, we decided to do the hilly section and I “ran my mouth” the entire way as my mom so hilariously pointed out. This time last year I would have been huffing and puffing, hoping for a break.49

By taking control of my weight, I now want to take better care of my overall health. Seeing a gynecologist tomorrow for first time in 5 years, and a few weeks after that, will see a PCP for first time in over a decade.
I now know I'm worth it.62 -
Knowing we were meeting friends for lunch and dog races today, I got up early ands ran/jogged 3.25 miles on the treadmill because I knew I was having "extras" today. Had a light lunch and 2 beers. $1 ahead at the track! Feeling in control today.26

I have another NSV!! I have an old raincoat that I wear. It was cold today so I put it on and while walking I decided to zip it up and I zipped it up over my hips! Usually, I have to pull the coat up to my waist and zip it then it stays around my waist. That didn't happen todday. Hooray!33

Oh gosh yes, when I had my ovarian surgery (the beginning of my lifestyle change) I had to lie on one side because of the pain and my tummy flopped over and I felt like an elephant seal. It's much better when it stays where it's supposed to be. Good for you!10
