Mom of 6 here, 47 years old. Just lost 17.5 lbs, about half way to my goal. Feeling pretty good, but recovering from foot surgery and unable to do much cardio. Advice and tips welcome!

It’s great to have a group for us “middle agers”. Turning 50 this year & finally getting back in shape. Feel free to add me. I use the Transform app, and Facebook groups for Transform. Really encouraging. Plus the Eat Clean diet & work out with a personal trainer. Lost 48 pounds so far.

Hmm, me and my MFP friend have been discussing the minimum cut-off age for this group. What's middle aged? Late 30s sounds fair, but there are one or two 30 year olds in this thread! B)

I've seen some even younger than that!

    Maybe their just old souls.

Easter has definitely arrived at work, the desks are covered in chocolate buns and eggs...its going to be a long day.. Happy Easter everyone :)
Good luck, it won't be easy, but it will be worth the effort. I started low carb on Halloween week and the first week or so was rough. I had cravings and was 'hangry''. I've dropped some weight but the biggest benefit was being able to get off my type 2 diabetes medicine. Happy Easter!

Congrats on your success! I am hoping to be able to drop a few meds eventually. Add me as a friend if you would like! Have a Happy Easter Weekend!

Since I'm only 40 I don't think I can join this thread. With all the healthy eating and fitness regimes I'm now punishing myself...I mean...enjoying surely I will live until I'm at least a 120 which means I now need to be 60 years old to be classed as middle aged! If not, then what's the point?! :s:#
