Oh gosh yes, when I had my ovarian surgery (the beginning of my lifestyle change) I had to lie on one side because of the pain and my tummy flopped over and I felt like an elephant seal. It's much better when it stays where it's supposed to be. Good for you!10 -

I used to be able to hug my belly as if it were a separate entity. The thing used to flop around as if it had a life of its own. Its so nice that it stopped doind that.
Now if only it would stop 'hanging around' when I'm leaning over the tub to wash my hair... although I know that a large part (and growing larger) is just excess skin. I'm kinda proud of that too22 -
This thread is inspirational - when I'm struggling for motivation, I come here My latest is that I can *just* and I do repeat *just* start to see my quads through the fat on my legs25

Had a 4.5 mile run scheduled on training plan - was very aware that 5 miles killed me a bit on Sunday. Thought I would stick with 3 miles so as not to injure self (learning!).
Set off at 7am, 3 mile alert came up and I didn't want to stop. Lost track of time a bit and headed back to gym as I was worried about not having enough stretch time before work.
Checked mapmyrun - 4.33 miles loving it! First time I have ever wanted to run further and then lost track of what I was doing. Felt amazing.
Quads are now killing me, but I stretched properly and it is a good ache. It also means I have been using the muscle correctly and not been putting all the strain through my knees? is that right?18 -
I ate within my calorie budget after a week of out of control overeating.34

Nice! I'm on day two of the same.17 -
My older brother told me that he could tell that I have lost inches. That's a lot coming from someone like him since he teases me all of the time lol18

Prelogged a cookie, but when it came time to eat it, decided I didn't want it enough. Mindless eating would have had me eat it just because it'd already been logged.24

I put on a shirt I received for Christmas and it's too big - so big, it may be the last time I wear it.
(It's kind of a shame I didn't wear it too often because it's really a good color on me!)22 -

I was a couch potato, so just 8 months ago I'd have been on that sofa with paracetamol & a hot water bottle feeling no better for it(never did work for me)....instead I'm having my after workout latte thinking the pain is all but gone. Love that first response to pain was movement and not cocooning. Nice!5 -

I'm pretty psyched! Last time was about 6 years ago and the waiter brought someone else over to guess my age. Ha!9 -
I ordered cheapo vintage-style clothes online based on my measurements and they all fit great except one shirt that was actually too large.22

I think that's a "SV" (scale victory)!
BUT it's very wonderful & 100% worth celebrating!!!14 -
Small...teeny...tiny...win. But a huge one for me.
I went over my calories today BUT!!! I logged it anyway! It used to depress me so much that I 'failed' that I would give up hope that I could ever stick to it. But not today! And I'm not over by much at all, still less than my maintenance allowance! Yes.... I am a perfectionist.... why do you ask?30 -

I totally understand how much of a victory this is for you - well done - you're living life - never perfect but you will continue5 -
I just bought two dresses marked XS. I only just dipped officially into normal BMI this week (so vanity sizing), and one of the dresses has a flowy cut while the other is somewhat fitted when it's supposed to be A-line (but it's for next winter so should be fine then). But still, I've been automatically reaching for the largest size on the rack for such a long time that I don't really know what to do with myself now. What. Is. Happennnniiinnnngggggg....27

As marked by a mole; where I once had a back roll, I now have a hollow.32

An old size 4 pencil skirt fits. I was shocked because when I held it up, I didn't think there was any chance of it fitting.23

My BMI is finally back in the 30's (actually 39.9) but considering it was 68.0 when i started all this 26months ago, its progress.89

First real spring day here. My yoga capris from last fall were so big they literally fell down23

I put on a pair of size 16 jeans that I couldn't even get around my thighs. Now they fit around my waist, still a little bit tight but in a couple of pounds they will be perfect. Most of my 18s fall down right now. I keep having to pull them up.27

Just completed W1D3 of Couch to 5K. I’m going slow, but I’m going! My goals are to walk/run a 5K in May and run one in October.
Accidentally found boxes of clothes that I put away as I was growing during pregnancy last year. I had completely forgotten about them! And now I realize I don’t like many of them and was just keeping them because they fit and I didn’t want to spend time shopping for clothes that fit AND flatter me.22 -
Went to dinner at a new place last night. Lots of tempations. I stuck to a burger with lettuce instead of a bun and an appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts. It was SO good, and I felt good knowing I wasn't going to regret it later. I even had a forkful of my daughter's cheesecake and left it at that.25

Broke a plateau today. Down 58 pounds. Woohoo!34

Being able to actually see my muscles when I work out vs just knowing there's some somewhere under my fat...22
