@glennagael I remember when I ran my first 5 full minutes too. I was cheering and my husband thought I was crying. That was in December 2017. I just completed my first 5K last Saturday with an official time of 35:31. Do it at your own pace and you will succeed!18

My NSV is that another stack of clothes went to Goodwill last night. All of my 3x and 2x shirts as well as any pants over 38 waist though I'm wearing mostly 36 now. The good side is I get new clothes that are in style, the bad side is that my wife gets to drag me in a store to go shopping (the horror of it all).
Only 48 days till we head to San Francisco for my wife's 50th birthday (don't tell her I told you her age). Seemingly silly but important things to me: 1. I want to fit comfortably in the small airplane seats, 2. I want to be able to pedal from Pier 39 up to Sausalito, 3. I want to be arm candy while she shops34 -
Got my first "stop getting so skinny!" comment today from a coworker. It was meant as a compliment and I'm totally not offended by it, I actually can't stop smiling I've gone from a size 22W to a 14 (about 70 pounds) and I've been kind of in a rut for the past month-ish, so being called skinny is a HUGE NSV for me right now!40

Planning a cruise in mid May and trying to figure out what to wear. Tried on a bathing suit I haven't fit into in two years and it fit perfectly. Went shopping for beach coverups today and started with XL - nope. L - nope. M - yep. OMG, what?! The last time we went on a cruise, about 18 months ago, I was having a hard time walking very far, especially in the heat. And God forbid I should put on a bathing suit and get in the pool or enjoy the beach. Now I'm going to experience everything as an (almost) normal person, and can't wait!32

after overeating (alot) over easter i sort of fell off track for a bit craving chocolate and icecream. indulged a bit but past 2-3 days iv been super active and it killed my appetite. I knew i was undereating (badly actually thats not so good lol) but my NSV is even though i went to the store twice walked around looking at cookies and chocolate and icecream giving myself permission to eat it to up my calories, I didnt buy it. Didnt seem worth it to me. Just came home from the store with a sesame chicken tv dinner and a case of diet pop instead. Mise will get some real food in and alot of fluid and not just pack in candy calories i dont need.
If you knew me youd know its huge to give self permission to eat bad foods and then walk away even once, let alone twice Its nice to have control back29 -
I took a VERY long break from running and just focused on HIIT, weight lifting, and yoga instead. Tuesday my wife bailed on our yoga plans and I really didn't want to do it by myself so I decided to see if I could still run. I was so excited to find that not only could I still run, my pace hasn't slowed nearly as much as I expected. It's been at least 6 months since I've run much more than 5 minutes at a time so it felt like a nice little victory for me.
ETA: Before I give the false impression it was some big triumphant race, I ran just under 2 miles; I'd for sure have to really start training for running again if I wanted to actually complete a race. I haven't decided yet if that is something I want to do or not, I have really enjoyed my gym sessions and do not enjoy running nearly as much.23 -
Keeping up with anything long-term is difficult for me. I’m clinically depressed, and those bad brain times tend to sneak up on me and lay me out. The longest I’ve been able to consistently track on MFP for a long time has been a month.
I’ve been tracking for about 6 weeks this time. (Yay!)66 -
A coworker who had left a few months ago and recently come back stopped me in the hall today and mentioned I had lost weight! People are finally noticing, wooo!26

Congrats! That is so great! I suffer from depression too and since I've stuck to tracking my food and working out I haven't had a really bad day in quite a while. There's still ups and downs but they are much smoother since I've been treating my body nicer.12 -
I was craving a Culver’s double butterburger with fries and a vanilla concrete with marshmallow, peanut butter, and sprinkles for some crunch ALL day. I didn’t cave. It used to be my comfort binge meal. I haven’t binged in 40 days!29

Several NSVs all within the past week...
~ Saw my favorite aunt on Easter Sunday for the first time in over 6 months. She couldn't stop smiling at my appearance, and asked when I had reached goal weight. Told her I'm still in the lower end of my overweight range, and she couldn't believe it. Very happy to hear I look like I'm at goal.
~ Acquaintance/friend who I see weekly told me I was melting away. I took it as a compliment!
~ I was registered for a local 10K race on Sat. and it was snowing like crazy before I left home (spring in WI). Seriously considered blowing off the race due to weather and preparing Easter dinner for relatives coming to our house. But I had my goal of < 1:35 (I'm a walker, not a runner), and really wanted to see if I could do it. So I went. The snow turned to rain, then very windy at the end. I tried not to notice my squishy shoes & socks. Didn't realize until the finish that my gloves & outer layer of clothes were soaking wet. There were 160 no-shows. Smashed my goal ~ finished in 1:30:28.82 and average pace of 14:35 ~ walking!41 -
The scale has stalled for the past few months but today I tired on a pair of shorts that were a little tight the last time I wore them. Well all the running has paid off and today the legs were comfortably loose.17

- Ran a mile with out stopping and improved my 3km time by a whole minute
- I have not had the best week food wise but I actually logged everything this week even when I knew it was going to send me over my calories21 -
Dress shopping for upcoming events, and for the first time in MY LIFE I am actually excited about getting to wear a dress!! It’s a great feeling not having to worry about finding a dress I feel both confident and comfortable in. And to not have to worry about wearing a cardigan to cover my arms.

It's amazing how fast you can walk when your feet are freezing! Great time!11 -

Worked my first shift in six months at the major sports stadium in my city. To say I got a fair few comments from colleagues and regular customers is an understatement. Pretty much everyone commented on it. Motivation to keep going is at an all time high righ now!
Even better, I was comfortably wearing my S work shirt from a few years ago and new (but already falling down) size 12 pants, rather than the tight M shirt and straining size 14 pants I was wearing at my last shift in September 2017.23
