Lose 5lbs + in March 2018

Starting weight: 176 lbs (Jan, 2018)
March starting weight: 169.2 lbs
March goal - 164 lbs
March 1 - 169.2 lbs
March 8 - 165.4 lbs
March 15 - 166.4 lbs

Total lost in March: 3.8 lbs (Focusing on the fact that this is a LOSS, just not as much as I wanted)
Disappointed that I did not make my goal of 5 lbs lost this month. My body has been stuck on a plateau for the past three weeks, despite the fact that I have eaten well, tracked all my food faithfully, exercised every day for at least an hour, and been under my net calories every day. Every time I read that you just have to eat at a deficit every day (burn more calories than you consume) and you will lose weight, I feel annoyed. I think if weight loss was that easy, then I would be sitting at my goal weight. According to MFP, I am eating enough calories to lose 1.5 pounds per week but I only lost half that, this month. My NSV is that despite the fact that my body is not willing to give up the pounds, with all the exercise I am doing, I have lost 4 inches off my body this month, for a total of 9.25 inches lost in the last two months! Clothes I could not wear all winter, I can now wear comfortably. So, YAY ME! Onward to April!2 -

Would it be too intrusive to ask you to share your strategy for eating less? Higher deficit? Are you fairly active as well?

Well, I never recovered and completely bombed this month.
I keep floundering and can't seem to find my sweet spot for losing consistently. I'm not giving up, though.2 -

Not upset since I had multiple injuries and found out I needed a new workout routine for the health of my knees and back. Now that I have a new routine combined with strength training, yoga, pilates and knee exercises I expect April to be great! Congrats everyone and see you in April2 -

3.8lbs is still a great loss, and as you’ve said, you’ve lost some inches too!! Try not to depend on the scales too much, because you are probably still losi the fat, but some of it will probably be replaced by muscle so the scales show the same number.
Muscle weighs more than fat, so with the muscle gain and the fat loss, your still shrinking

This may be a day early...But March is done!
It has been a good month. The pounds have been slowly melting away...right as planned. Even with the silly Nor'easters that shut us down for a couple of days three times, everything managed to work out a-ok. Stuck with bad roads, no power, and darkness...that could have been a time to EAT...a lot.
NSV: What! these pants fit. Nice!
Great numbers on blood tests.
Feeling really good about March. Now on to April.
