I was in line at an eating establishment and could not help but notice the two older ladies behind me. They were giggling and chatting and completely enjoying each other’s company. They seemed so excited to be out and about even though it was a veritable blizzard outside in early April. I loved everything about them, from their perfectly styled silver hair to the maroon lipstick and heavy-handed blush they had applied for this little outing with each other. I don’t know what it was but being near them just felt so cozy. They appeared to be lifelong friends and were enjoying all the simple little things. It was absolutely adorable. I gave the cashier $20 to put toward their meals, and as I was walking out I heard them gasp and clap their hands in delight that somebody had done that for him. This was days ago and those ladies are still making me smile.8

My daughter's definitely bring me joy. I, also, find pure happiness going to the Zoo, with my hubby and daughters, fist thing when they open on a cool day (not too hot, not too cold). It just has a great feel to it, really relaxing.0

He said, "Jesse, you enjoy that while it lasts, because when they get to be teenagers... They act like you didn't even walk in the house"...

It's true in my case, and it happens fast. Within a few months my son went from wanting to do things with me all the time, to now when that's only when he needs a ride somewhere.

I am very lucky in the fact my Teen girls still like doing things with me. We try to do "girls day" once a week, but do admit it happens less than it used to with their social calender's being so booked.0 -
