My daughter's definitely bring me joy. I, also, find pure happiness going to the Zoo, with my hubby and daughters, fist thing when they open on a cool day (not too hot, not too cold). It just has a great feel to it, really relaxing.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with an older coworker about this a while back...

He said, "Jesse, you enjoy that while it lasts, because when they get to be teenagers... They act like you didn't even walk in the house"...

I agree though, that's the best... Every time I hear him say Daddy feels like a blessing!

Seeing my Daughters excel in their lives. They are a true inspiration, and WAY better at being people than I ever could pretend to be

    Yeah I’m dreading that.

It's true in my case, and it happens fast. Within a few months my son went from wanting to do things with me all the time, to now when that's only when he needs a ride somewhere.

OMG Noo, why must they grow up lol

I'm sure seeing him mature and grow will bring me joy as well

I am very lucky in the fact my Teen girls still like doing things with me. We try to do "girls day" once a week, but do admit it happens less than it used to with their social calender's being so booked.

We had frost on our cars this morning and my 11 year old went out and scraped my windshield for me. Without asking her to. Proud mama moment.
