I'm already doing the30 day shred and eating a calorie controlled diet and drinking plenty of water but I need to up my game as I have a big occasion coming up in 5 weeks and want to look my very best.
What is the best I can do in your opinion for burning calories and fat? Zumba, running, aerobics? Or something altogether different? I'm open to all suggestions.

Everything so far I have seen is jogging, I saw a chart and jogging had the highest calorie...0

Circuit trainning, interval, and tabata trainning all burn calories and fat faster than running or just weight lifting. Those are the best ways to get a lean toned look. If you want to throw in yoga, it'll make you have a slender look. Don't just do one thing you have to mix things up so your body doesn't adapt to your routine and it keeps changing.0

running for cardio and circuit training for strength training.0

I do zumba during the week for a quick calorie burn and i burn like 600-700 calories in that hour. if you really want to see results do the zumba like 3 times a week.0

I do Zumba and LOVE it. I got the DVDs though since I like it so much at class and its not as fun, if you do try it I think they key is finding an instructor that you like. My insturctor does super high intensity workouts and throws some slow down songs in so we can still breathe. I went to another class where the instructor was really dancy and HATED it!
Although with Zumba you can burn like 600 calories in an hour if you keep the intensity up and its way more fun then running!0 -
Jillian Michaels-Yoga meltdown. I do it in my living room, and yes this DVD will kick your *kitten*! good luck and have fun!=D0

Interval/circuit training. Its quick, makes the time go by fast because you are switching things up, and burns those calories quick and easy!0

Running! & HiiT workouts (youtube it).0

Turbo Fire is great as well as the other programs folks have suggested. The thing is to find something that will challenge you, and keep you motivated. What works for me may or may not work for you.0

I was assuming that 30 day shred wascircuit training? By interval training do you mean a mixture of walking and running? I'm going to head back to Zumba as well, I've not been for ages and I do like it but I don't really get sweaty at it the way I do with 30ds. Keep the ideas coming I'll try anything to find something that works for me!0

I do Zumba and teach Karate once during the week, But I can do better, I really need to lose this weight.0

Zumba and running are both really good calorie burners. These are what I've had the most success with as far as calorie burns. Zumba is tons of fun, running (for me) was not but it got the job done.0

oh and any links to good HiiT on you tube, they all seem to be only a couple minutes long?0

How long do you need? A tabata workout is 4mins total!0

M100 (Mandatory 100)is great as well. Only takes 2-5 minutes and requires no equipment.

long enough to make a difference! How long would you recommend of each? I need to lose an inch or two or 8lbs in 5 weeks.0

Let me know what you've got to to work with, how committed you are, and we can work on something. did you get my msgs?0

Run! (I do 5k's on the regular with my bullmastiff) :-)
Kickboxing (Billy Blanks is a work-out genius - Cardio Inferno or This Is Tae-Bo)0 -
A bit more info, I'm 5ft 4 and sitting at 145lbs - I'm up around 10lbs on my 'normal' weight, I've already lost 12 lbs. I've plateaued for the past few weeks.
I work days a week and have 2 young kids (6 and 3). I am really committed and ready to make changes. It's my oldest friends wedding in 5 weeks and at the moment my bridesmaid dress has an inch of a gape at the back where it won't zip up!
I'm short of money so I can't afford to do more than one class a week, and I'm kinda time limited with work/family. I could fit in probably and hour a day on 4 days a week - maybe not all at one time. And at least half an hour on my working days.
My plan so far is:
30 day shred every day
stick to 1200 calories and NO junk
drink at least 8 glasses of water
and thats me so far0 -
