Hi; recently joined MFP to start tracking macros; I’m looking for all the Keto Foodies to share recipe results with; as I become more acclimated to the lifestyle I’m for sure going to be doing some experiments in the kitchen!

I am Keto! I LOVE it. 13 days and down 12.4 lbs! I also combine Intermittent Fasting.30

I do IF too; I basically did before starting so that was a super easy thing to transition to. I tried making a pizza today that came out nothing bad at all just not the same as bread; I’m actually going to experiment with yeast; I was a baker before I started but there are so many alternatives I haven’t actually had any carb cravings so far.

I am doing Keto and IF..18:6. It is still slow going..I think I may be eating too much protein in the 6 hrs I do eat. I am trying to find replacements for protein that is not carbs.2

If you’re into veggies my understanding is the Keto basics (no so much cauliflower) can be eaten without concern for the actual carb (net it’s typically 1-<2g per weighed serving cooked) <Someone correct me if I’m wrong plz> so I get pretty full off some greens in the afternoon; not hungry till 2pm
I eat kales broccoli asparagus or spinach, any greens really broccoli all that stuff is super yum IMO, then I do some meat, cheese, and/or egg till my protein and oils are within the ratios (I’m 25g carb a day, no issues)
Then I have about 2-3 hours before a workout, eat another solid meal within an hour or so of the workout and I’m good till the next afternoon
I was eating snacks my first days to fulfill intake but I’m just focused on ratios from here on.. I do 16:8 but I was basically doing that on my own anyway just with maybe a snack outside the window
I could be wrong about the greens thing but I see many people pushing plant nutrients as vital (which a rounded diet makes sense) and like I said, them’s tasty vittles lol6 -
I enjoy Cooking Keto with Kristie on youtube,i make her pizza crust and load it up,oh so good for a once a month treat,so much fat goodness!This was my first attempt,way to much so now i use half the dough for pizza and save other half for buns.

Hey guys! I just also started on Keto on Sunday and did a little meal prep for the week. One of my favorite recipes so far is chicken tenders dipped in egg then finely crushed up pork rinds. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes. So so good. I'm also going to try this week a recipe I found for pizza crust made out of chicken and parmesan. Ketoconnect.net has been a favorite website over the last few days.17

Hello. I am new to keto, just started 3 days ago. Looking forward to getting to know all of you and sharing recipes. So far so good. I've managed to keep the keto flu away by drinking lots of water. Just feeling a little headachy today but nothing I can't handle. I know if I can get through this week, I should be good to go. I'm doing 20 net carbs a day. Believe it or not that's the easy part. Getting my fat up has been a little bit of a challenge. Who would have thunk it. LOL Anyone have any experience with fat bombs or recipes for their favorite.?2

Hi all. Started Keto a week ago. Made a fat bomb recipe last...kind of trial and error. It tasted a bit salty last night, but I'll know more when it's ready today. I'll keep you posted.3

Hey I’ve been strict keto for over a year, lazy keto for 4 years and low carb for 8. I’m also Paleo, so I don’t do dairy.
I just got back on here as I’m trying to keep better track of my macros and calories.
I love making keto cakes, breads, tortillas, pancakes and all the fun stuff. But right now I’m focusing on nutrient dense foods.3 -

A little snack if you are fancy eating some crisps/chips but you can’t! Home roasted almonds with Chili and salt!!!

I am having problems with getting more fat than protein. Do any of you guys have food items that you eat to up your fat intake?3

I add coconut milk and heavy whipping cream into my morning coffee. I make fat bombs by melting unsweetened chocolate chips into coconut oil and allow the mixture to solidify. Once it’s hardened, it’s able to be cut into pieces so it’s like candied fat. Obviously I’m careful with how many chocolate chips I use, but it helps with cravings. It tastes just like an almond joy!10

Wow so many newbies like me. I just started on the 12.
This my sound gross but I take 2 tsp of cod liver oil a day its helping with my knee pain. I just drink a little warm lemon infused water after the cod liver oil has no taste. It was hard at first time just the thought of swallowing oil. I believe that 9 gm fat each tsp.3 -

I've been doing Keto, for three weeks now. I've only lost 8lbs. I'm sure I'm not doing something right. I'd love to learn more.
A lot of the reciepes I've been finding and making are from ruled.me. I'm finding that with still only having 20 carbs a day, that I'm not loosing any more weight.
I'm looking for friends to offer any advise and help!3 -

Are you counting calories? It’s still possible to eat too many calories while on keto. You can add me if you want.

second day of keto! I felt like complete crap yesterday zero energy, cold hands and feet, hungry most of the day and then switched to nauseous and headachy. Not fun. Maybe doing a morning workout yesterday wasn't a good move! I feel slightly less awful today, but it's only 10 AM.. haha. I'm kind of surprised by these symptoms as I've been eating fairly low-carb (about 80% paleo) for the last few years - I didn't think cutting my carbs and upping my fat would be a big difference! I looooovveee fatty foods so I'm really surprised at the nausea but right now just thinking about eating something fatty makes me want to gag! Has anyone else experienced this when starting out? How long did it take to get better?1

I'm a week into Keto now, I haven't weighed myself or anything, but truth be told I'm kind of struggling to be able to meet some of the protien/fat/fiber counts. I too am doing IF!3

Been doing keto for a year and a half. I feel you do reach a point where you for sure need to keep track of your calories. I bounce within 7 lbs up and down. I'm at 150 and my personal go is 140. So im back counting my calories and trying to b under 20 net carbs a day.0

New to keto, but have been low carb for 15 years... Is anyone else having cramps in their legs and feet?0

12 weeks keto and using MFP - love it!! Feel better than I have in 10years, lost 10.5kg, 9cm off hips and 7cm off waist.
Walking and doing total of about 10000 steps a day, nothing too strenuous
Have found over the weeks I’ve moved more toward healthiest fats I can, more avo, olive oil, nuts , salmon, trout, plus cheese , than just relying on bacon , red meat etc
Also heaps of greens, broccoli, cauliflower and the odd tomate, beetroot and capsicum(both v high carb)
Then moderate berries each day
Portion control has been easy. Am aiming at 1200 calories a day for weight loss.
Drinking heaps of water and plenty of salt- if I feel drained )rarely) I eat a couple of salt crystals and drink some water and it’s like an electric switch!
Will post some recipes, is there s keto recipe section?

5 min Peanut coconut freezer cookies made a comeback..
Warm 1/4 cup natural peanut butter with 1tblsp coconut oil, stir in 1/2 cup coconut threads, 1tblsp maple syrup, cinnamon and whack in freezer on a baking paper covered tray for 15 mins ... ridiculous
