I hit a rough patch for awhile but made a change that has really helped. I changed my goal to maintenance calories and still keep a calorie deficit in addition to working out 6 days a week. Seeing 2K calories with a deficit versus 1.5K makes a difference. I wasn't eating enough to maintain my workout schedule/active lifestyle, then I would crash, overeat feel bad and start again. I might not drop weight as quickly BUT I can maintain these habits and feel better doing them. :)

Scale's still up today, though. Grrr.

I must say - this challenge is helping me more than I thought. In the snacking tug of war, it’s that one extra set of hands on my side

Totally okay with this one. Long time overdue date night with the hubby turned into free-for-all snacking for both of us (he’s on MFP too). We’ve both been stressed - we knowingly commiserated over big piles of ice cream and cake together. Scale is up 3.5lbs, but I don’t care. It’s mostly water weight and any actual weight gain will be zeroed out when we go for a 4 hour bike ride/hike together this Saturday.

@sofchak Anyone who takes a four hour bike ride/hike more than earns cake and ice cream in my book. They both sound fun. Enjoy your Saturday!

Tried tapping for the first time yesterday. Seems to work okay.

Scale is already releasing the water weight - only one # up now from my chocolate cake and ice cream fun.

@tolamarie - that’s the plan! I got the hubby on board with the planned 4 hour excursion BEFORE indulging! ;)
