My upper body strength is pants.

0, and I really don't have aspirations to work on it. I'm not always consistent with lifting, but I remember when I was working consistently with my trainer, the two lifts I could not really make much progress on were rows and overhead presses. I just did not respond to training. This was over a year and a half.

I was always awful at them. Because I was weak, even when I was young. I was weak even when I got to the point where I thought I wasn't.

At 54, I got to the point of being able to do them. Now I do 4 sets of 5 at body weight twice per week - gradually trying to work my way up. Can probably do 7 in one shot on a good day. I weigh 202 at the moment (now 55).

    I haven't tested chin-ups, but for strict pull-ups I can do seven.

I only do pullups, and only once or twice a week. I keep meaning to add more to my routine, and then forget again. Anyway, I did sets of 6, 5,5,4 the other day(I think). BW 115ish

How many chin ups can you do and at what bodyweight? Chin ups are where the palm of you hands are facing you. My record is 6 @ 140 lbs (63.5 kg). Currently I can only do 4 @ 151 lbs (68.5 kg).

Back in the day 15, these days zero.

I weigh 203 and I can do 10 with good form. I like to finish out back day with one set of each strict pullups and chin-ups until failure. Then pick either chin-ups or pull-ups and add jumping for 4 sets of 10-15.

A big ol' 0 here, which isn't too shocking considering my current physique. :D

I've never been able to do any, though, even during those yearly fitness tests in school. My upper body strength is okay, all things considered, but I have a looooong way to go.
