I’ll call this cauli-stroganoff. Really just a hodge-Podge of veggies left over. Onion, garlic and mushroom sautéed in veg stock with stone ground mustard over steamed cauliflower.

    Yum, yum and yum!!

Anyone have any tasty veggie soup recipes? I've been eating a lot of soup lately and trying to mix it up.

There's a cheesy veggie chowder on 12 tomatoes that's delirious. I put in more veggies than it calls for & reduce the cheese. I use fat free half & half for the heavy cream & use non fat milk. mine comes out to almost 300 cal for 1 1/2 cups

I stalk this thread a lot. I would like to suggest a new name. Maybe not volume eaters thread, but: The way we should eat with occasional highly dense food and we might not have an obesity epidemic in America thread? Any thoughts?

    Uhhh what.....?

    Do not engage.
I like this thread. I have actually been using some of your recipes. I like the cheese cake. I was just stating that if people ate a little more nutrient dense, like many of the meals here, we might not have the problems we have. sorry if the humor was bad.

Nothing really wrong with what you said but how much and what you eat has nothing to do with obesity anywhere in the world. It's the calories consumed that are the problem.

You noticed how all of the meals here are meant to be large in volume but low in calories? This is fine for us, for others nope. Others might get satiated on days or protein etc. I, and many others here do not.

True. I have just noticed a trend in more volume eating. Looking at the My plate app, they seem to be very close to volume eating. 1/3 lean pro, 1/3 starch, 1/3 fibrous veggie, low fat dairy, easy on the added fat and sweeted drinks. I know it's CICO. I did not know this when I started. Just switched up what i was eating to a whole foods, nutrient dense diet and bam. Weight lept off. Many others i know have done the same thing with "paleo" or "primal", nothing magical, just cutting calories by eliminating many calorie dense foods. Switch up the potato chips or home made veggie chips, most, i say most, not all people will fill up quicker. That's all I was saying. Thanks for the reply. Btw, your tuna Sammies look awesome!

I like this thread too, I don't say much but I check it several times a week. I've gotten many ideas that I tried, one thing was the fluff, it just didn't turn out well after several tries, but I did "discover" xanthan gum & I put it in my smoothie. I made the cloud bread & get many ideas as I like to eat volume twice a day

Summer cut prep is where i start getting savvy with the high volume meals!! Here we have:
    Shirataki noodles
    93/7 turkey
    Prego light marinara
    9oz broccoli
    One serving of nutritional yeast
    One slice low cal bread

Cals: 400 for the entire plate
High protein, mod fat, low carb

Breakfast fluff....salted caramel + cinnamon crunch PP, almond milk, vanilla and Splenda. Topped with a Vans waffle and Smuckers sugar free syrup. In a huge bowl. Happy Friday!

What brand of PP do you use? I’m guessing it’s Quest given the flavors... I make protein fluff almost every day and usually use the Quest salted caramel. Haven’t tried the cinnamon crunch, any good?
