Today, I added extra weights to several exercises in my training program. My trainer saw me at the gym and made it a point to come chat and comment on my good workout drive, even though he was already done and ready to go home19

Just recently start SUP (stand up paddle board) paddling. Talking to some experienced paddlers about good beginner deals, someone suggested that at my size I could probably look at some of the larger youth models and save significant money.28

Over last weekend, tried on & finally fit back in to *most* of my dresses that have been hanging up for at least a year or more. Some were very snug, but hey, they zipped up!26

My pants are falling down. My skinny jeans! SKINNY JEANS! They're baggy!
Soon I'll be able to fit into the jeans I've dubbed "The gut-crushers". Super pale and tight stretchless denim. I don't even think they're in style anymore. But I don't care!33 -
I ran 7.93 miles on Sunday!!
I was so nervous as my longest has been 6. Also, this time I was running from my home to the gym - just out of the house for 1hr40 with phone, running belt and a fiver in case I needed a bus/drink lol
I did cover the 8 miles, but some was walked at about 6.2 miles for 10 mins as my hip was aching and I needed to go over a railway station using the stairs. Didn't want to run up or down those!
But I did it. I got myself from my house to the gym using just my feet - in 1hr 40mins and 40 secs. Was so chuffed with myself!!
Quads are still feeling it today, but my knees held up and although hips ached badly yesterday, they are feeling 100% better today!!40 -
I did a workout last night that involved a bunch of pushups and plank things. I was able to do about 5 pushups in a row with okay form before having to drop to my knees. I was also able to do down unders with crap form where I couldn't even begin them a few months ago. Those are where you start in downward dog, dive into cobra, and then back up without touching the ground with your torso. Hopefully I'll get to where I can do these with good form, lol.

Last night I held a plank for three minutes, twelve seconds. I've been adding one second each time I do this (three times a week along with my weights and lunges and squats, etc.), but once I hit three minutes (my original goal), on April 28, I started adding three seconds. My new goal is four minutes, and once I reach that, five.24

I had to tighten my belt a second notch to hold up my pants, and just realized my previously non-existent posterior has decided to join in the fight.20

I do have pain in my knees, hips and feet, but that’s because I went on a six mile hike in the hilly Welsh countryside yesterday
The NSV? It was only meant to be a four mile hike, but I felt so good at the halfway point that I decided to descend along the ‘wrong’ ridge and cross the valley lower down. Because clearly I needed more uphills in my life.
Glad to learn that I am not the only person who does this. Decided to change the route last week. A 6 mile hike turned into almost 8 miles with an additional hill climb to get back to the starting point. Yay for change!

I just looked around in my kitchen and realized I have all sorts of "junk food" at home that I eat in moderate portions and log faithfully, and most importantly, am not bingeing on.
When I first started losing weight I basically had to get rid of all sweet treats and cookies that I liked because I couldn't eat them in moderation. Now almost 2 years into maintaining a 50lb loss I've slowly started keeping more of them in the house and have not had issues moderating them.
For example, my husband brought home a Ritter chocolate. In the past I would have eaten the whole thing in one sitting, but now it's been in the fridge for a week because I'm eating one square a day in the evenings.
NSV y'all!52 -
Feeling slow today because I didn't run yesterday. Putting my shoes on early today.9

Yesterday at work I noticed my lanyard kept bouncing around as I walked, it took a moment to realise it was because the under boob roll of flab is reducing and it has less to nestle against.
Also at work I took the stairs and was not out of breath, I went back up them later just to double check I'd not deceived myself, all the cardio paying off!35 -

And those uphills always look so gentle when you're looking at the map, or down from the highest point of your route. And then you actually get to them, and start questioning your life choices
(But they feel so GOOD when you get to the top...)14 -

Oh too funny! High 5 on the great work you have been doing. These victories make it so much easier to keep plugging away.6 -

Funny, I've done the same thing last Sunday - 5.5 mile hike turned into 7.8 miles, due to a detour to look at a nearby waterfall...13 -
Non scale victory: I couldn't sleep last night. I normally sleep fine, but every few weeks I have a night where I can only manage to get about two hours of sleep if I'm lucky. On those nights I usually stuff my face - cause I'm so unhappy, and so bored, all I can do is eat.
Last night, I didn't stuff my face. I didn't go over my calorie limit. What normally would have led to a "food doesn't count between the hours of midnight and 6AM" binge just led to me eating a half a muffin to keep my stomach from growling and that's it.
The best part? It led to a scale victory! Weighed myself this morning, and I'm under 140 for the first time in years. If I'd binged like the old me would have, I would probably have gained a few pounds of fluff in just one night.29 -

Finished 3.5 Mike run and 2 hours of SUP. After lunch? Swimming. Looking this new active lifestyle!
