Whenever you hear something "helps with weightloss", plug your ears and run away.12

I suppose it could be beneficial if you use it on your salad instead of a creamy dressing...24

Same could be said for any dressing that's not creamy. OP is suggesting there's something special about the vinegar that makes you lose weight.5 -
You lose weight by consuming less calories than you expend. Vinegar has no effect whatsoever upon that unless you're consuming vinegar instead of other, higher calorie foods.
Nothing about vinegar changes or defies the laws of energy balance.4 -

Vinegar is truly amazing and versatile stuff. The only medical benefit I am aware of though with ingestion is helping to break up taffy-like mucous drainage in your throat. For weeks after my tonsils and adenoids were removed ACV was a morning ritual.1

If you take a shot of vinegar before every meal. You'll probably not want to eat as much. HTH HAND3

My opinion is not worth a hill of beans. What does the evidence say?1

Yummy, a hill of beans!!3

Wherever you read that, stop visiting that site as it’s likely filled with other nonsense.
No individual substance, vinegar or anything else, causes weight loss. A calorie deficit causes weight loss. Period.3 -
I just had a customer tell me last week that if you drink acv after you eat it digests your food so you lose weight,I had to just bite my tongue to avoid an argument5

Won't help unless it keeps you from eating. I don't know if it could harm you to drink a bunch of vinegar but it is not necessary and sounds unpleasant so why do it?
You just need to consume the appropriate calories (less than your current maintenance calories). You don't have to eat or drink anything particular.1 -

They probably got that from Dr Oz, my mom called me and told me she saw a segment that he did where you take a shot of ACV after eating a doughnut and you won't absorb the calories or sugar from the doughnut. sigh some people will believe anything that man says.

Apple cider vinegar does nothing for weight loss, in and of itself.
Now green coffee extract, that stuff will make you lose weight without exercising or eating less. Just kidding. None of those things actually work.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.5
