I figured I'd be up after a weekend visiting family. My hands are visibly swollen from water retention too. I feel like crap. I'm going to work on eating better, feeling better, and getting back to my exercise routine this week and see if I can recover from this weekend.
5/23 157.0
Had a good run last night, and drank lots of water all day. Im going to keep it up. I would love to be back to where I started by the end of this challenge, but Id be happy if I at least continue to head in the right direction.
5/24 155.6
I'm happy with this. I hope it sticks. I am continuing to drink more water and track everything. Not to bad considering we have family in town.
5/25 154.6
Going in the right direction. This weekend is going to be tough though... We shall see.

This site has been such an incredible help. It's amazing how your eyes are opened once you start tracking. My daughter wanted to go to my favorite restaurants for dinner last night- Chicken Salad Chick. I knew it probably wasn't a great choice, but I was well-within my limits and could spare the 350 calories or so for a scoop of chicken salad. So, off we went. It was nice not having to prep something and I enjoyed my scoop. Thought I was doing great until I logged it here....35 grams of fat in 1 scoop!! I'm floored. They don't even put a little of mayo in their salad! And to think prior to tracking I would get TWO scoops! Really puts in to perspective how I gained all of this weight. I won't be eating there again for a long while...6

Round 41: SW 149.0 (TBD)
Need: Healthy BMI
Goal: Lose 15 pounds (UGW 132)
Timeframe: September 1, 2018 (1 lb per week)
Nutrition: Maintaining my WFPBNO diet while eating at a calorie deficit (<1300kCal).
- No manmade sugar;
- No yeast aka bread and alcohol;
- No oil aka nuts, chips, cheese, meat;
Exercise:
- 30 minutes of exercise;
- 10k steps;
- Lifting Heavy 2 to 3 times per week.
Sleep: Eliminating screens in the bedroom
Stress: Yoga once a week
5/17: 149.0. (T-1) Another day for sleeping in. That’s okay. I’ll have plenty of activity today. The yard needs mowing and I’ll push away from my desk and walk at lunch. Lunch is packed.
5/18: Field trip with the girl child, spelunking. Morning workout. Food- was okay.
5/19: 148.5. Logged it. Won’t see it again for a while, but I happened. Weight lifting. Followed by golf. Lots of activity. But the food just wasn't there. A couple glasses of wine. Some chocolates...
5/20: Busy day in the kitchen. Food was plentiful and on plan but wasn't logged. Active day but no formal activities. Tracker at 12k steps. No happy face today since the food just wasn't there.
5/21: 152.0- Was away from MFP this weekend. Allowing myself to have some freedom from tracking lately and few things (ice cream, wine, grilled cheese) that are not within my "plan". Today I am back on track. Excited to see a new number (<149) in the days to come as I shed the retained water from my indiscretions. Walked at lunch with Leslie. Mowed the yard after work with some other yard work. ~17k steps. Food was on track and logged. It was a GOOD day! 17k steps
5/22: 150.0- Morning weight workout. Won’t be able to walk at lunch. Got in about 15 mins of TKD before the girl child overheated and we had to go home. Food within boundaries. And logged. 12K steps
5/23: 148.5- Slept hard last night. Body temperature is up. Is Weight lifting causing this? No morning workout. Walked at lunch. Took another after dinner. 12k steps. Food was good and Logged.
5/24- 147.0- Logged it. We’ll see if it keeps. No workout this morning. Lunch walk isn’t going to happen. Evening workout is going to prove difficult. May need to plan for a “rest” day with an alarm set for the morning. Changed up my “boundaries” and made a “PLAN”. N- good. E- Rest. 8k steps S- Breaking the screens at bed time is going to prove difficult. S- No yoga last night, but I did actually sit with the kids and laugh at Hollywood Game Night.
5/25- 147.0- Wooo. Must be real. I even woke up feeling bloated. Weights this morning. Lots of walking planned for the work day. Not sure what the night looks like.

I use my average weight for my weight loss. I am not making a weight goal for this round; instead my only goal for this round is to reach 10K steps for 7/10 days. Steps: 5/10
R40: SW: 218.9
Day/Weight/Comment
5/18--218.4 Back to my lowest weight so far this year. Kettlebell tonight.
5/19--218.0 Got home after kettlebell and realized I had walked less than 5k steps. So after I ate I took the dog out and got in the rest of my steps in. Really have to work to get my water in on the weekends. Going car shopping today!
5/20--217.5 Surprised about the drop. We'll see if it sticks. Got my 10K steps in again yesterday, same thing as the day before where I had only taken 5k steps before having to take the dog on an evening walk. So, today what I did was take the dog on a long walk in the morning and I have gotten my 10K steps in. Working on water today.
5/21--218.0 Not surprised about the rebound. Did not get a lot of water in yesterday. Kettlebell tonight and probably another walk with the dog to get the rest of my steps in.
5/22--217.3 Did better with water yesterday, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bounce back again tomorrow. Decided not to go to kettlebell last night, just didn't feel like it. Instead hung out with hubby and dog and we all went for a long walk in the evening and got my steps in.
5/23--217.8 Normal fluctuation. So far I've weighed in below my starting weight every day. Did not get my steps in yesterday, chose not to go for an evening walk instead did some work around the house. Kettlebell tonight and will go out for a walk later tonight to get my steps in.
5/24--218.0 So sore this morning after tough kettlebell workout last night. Definitely retaining some water. Yesterday after I came home from kettlebell I had some dinner and then took dog out for a walk to get my 10K steps. Making sure that today I get my water in.
5/25--218.0 My knee was feeling a little off yesterday, so I didn't go for a walk last night to get my steps in. It still feels a little sore today, so not sure if I will be go to kettlebell tonight, but I will get my steps in today.

5/23 - 191.4 - Going in the right direction but still retaining a lot of water, my rings are all tight. I'll drink lots of water today and stay away from salt.
5/24 - 191.8 - Didn't stay away from salt, had potato chips with a homemade burger for supper. I have got to stop that.
5/25 - 190.8 - Surprised at this because I still didn't eat the best yesterday.

These are the moments. Thinking something is "okay," being horrified once you actually "look." Realizing through these experiences that there's a reason why you have been gaining weight is GREAT. Because, once you know, you can decide to do something different.
Change can be a slow process. You'll make old/stupid/habitual choices as you go through it. But being accountable on a daily basis is WONDERFUL. We hope you're here a long time, too.9 -
Round 2 for me. Last round I was away helping daughter pack and clean house. Despite the work, I obviously ate too much of her good, organic food (and Swiss chocolate)

Day/Weight/Comment – about the day before
5/18 164.4 - Hoping this is just a blip up and not what I gained the last week and a half.
5/19 163 - This was a happy surprise – Hope I can keep going. I was fairly consistently around this before my trip but was afraid I’d put some lb. back on. Guess we’ll see tomorrow. Went to the gym yesterday for the first time since I got back and ate somewhat on target. Still dead tired from all the travel.
5/20 163.3
5/21 162.8 – So nice to see this number again after the bump up on my trip. Gardening the last couple of days – clearing out weeds isn’t all that much exercise but way less snack inducing than inside the house.
5/22 162.4 - gym closed for Victoria day yesterday but lots of outside work.
5/23 162.4 -
5/24 162 – crazy day yesterday with no exercise really, didn’t even get to yard work. Maybe this is payoff from the previous days. Hoping to spend today mostly outside and get the garden planted. still plugging along at weedy perennial beds and moving stuff around too.
5/25 – 162.8 Would so like to be under 162, have to keep at it. Motivation to get to the gym today even though I have lots to do.

My weight loss has been very slow and very unsteady, but I'm trying to get there without ever feeling like I'm doing something hard. I'm taking it very easy on myself and just moving when I can, cutting back when I can, and being mellow about the whole thing.Woman, Age 47, 5'6"

5/18 / 236 / While I weigh the same as yesterday, this weigh in was two hours earlier, so I am pleased. I was hoping the rain would make my allergies clear up, but no such luck so far. Boo! Happy Friday!
5/19 / 234.8
5/20 / 235.4 / We went to a baseball double header yesterday, so I was away from normal food all day.
5/21 / 236.2 / I drank and drank and drank yesterday. I'm more hydrated than a pool! But Sunday was another day of weird eating, not because I was away from home, but I felt like I was starving all day. I was significantly over calories, but I'm okay with having a day like that on occasion. I am starting today feeling less like I need to gnaw on someone.
5/22 / 234.4 / That's better!
5/23 / 234.8 / Weigh in much earlier than yesterday, so this is a positive sign! Eating back under control.
5/24 / 233.8 / This was an early weigh in, too! Woot! Eating well, lots of fluids, some moving around. I'm having a good week.

•5/18 - 200.2 -slight uptick in weight this morning. Restless night and my buddy is back, fluid retention. I already need a nap.
•5/19 - 199.8 - That .8 still hanging on
•5/20 - 199.2 - I probably weigh a little bit under this number, but I drank water before stepping on the scale. My husband and I went to his Aunt's surprise 80th birthday celebration yesterday evening. It was after 5 pm when we got there. I eat my first meal at 2 or 3 so I wasn't hungry. Had no desire for cake or the godiva chocolate bars given out as favors. I gave mine to my DIL. I sipped on my lemon water and thoroughly enjoyed seeing and talking with family members that I haven't seen in years.
•5/21 - 199.6 -I can't blame the increase on sodium, because on keto you need sodium. I think I can pin it to electrolyte imbalance, specifically magnesium. I had cramping in my calf muscle down through my foot last night. It woke me up and I had to walk it out. I haven't had my electrolyte water for over a week. I'll be drinking it today though.
•5/22 - 200 - I weighed at 5 am, holding on to a ton of water. I usually weigh at 10am. We had a joyous family occasion to celebrate this past Sunday, but today is a somber occasion. My BIL passed last week and today is his funeral.
•5/23 - 199.6 (8am)- 200.8 (6am) - This is how much fluid I retain. That's 1.2lbs!and still holding fluid, but I can't wait until 10am to weigh, I need to drink some water now. 6 TBS of peanut butter later...smh. I was so tired yesterday. Feeling much better after some uninterrupted hours of sleep.
•5/24 - 199.2 - I didn't even think to weigh myself before having coffee. This morning was just off routine.
•5/25 - 199.6 - Mmm, seems my body likes 199.6 and 199.2 this round. I skipped over 199.4 ? BTW, This is the first time that MFP'S 5 week weight projection (199.5/ April 20) has been almost dead on accurate. Usually I'm ahead of it. I got in the habit of keeping track of it to see how I measure up.

5/20 170.4 Totally building muscle and feeling leaner; however, & I STILL have to keep reminding myself that my goal is now losing 2 lbs a month instead of 4. I find myself worrying that I won’t, but I think - with time - I will fret less. The trending app helps. My 10-day moving average is down 2.1 lbs in 20 days. Last month, I was down 5.3 lbs in 30 days. Slowly, I will adjust. Quite the mind shift.
5/21 170.0 I’m glad I purposely have slowed down my weight loss. It’s funny that it feels as though I’m gaining - when I’m not. I can see this will take some time, but I’m hopeful.
5/22 170.0 I think maybe I’m getting the hang of this trend line is now 2.2 lbs in 22 days - very helpful. Great workout yesterday! Losing inches (glad I took measurements in Hanuary & March) with definitely leaner look through waist (in the morning before my large breakfast LOL) & arms & shoulders feel much stronger. All part of this journey.
5/23 170.8 All is good - muscles hanging on to water... with my increased intensity of exercise. Along with 4 new temporary meds for a month.
My weight is Still down > than 2 lbs in the last 30 days, which is my goal, easing into maintenance.
I wasn’t hungry last night, but ate my dinner because my brain can play tricks on me sometimes and lets me get TOO hungry if I don’t eat. Intuitive eating sounds SO tempting, but in my heart, I know the routine of meals will insure my success longterm. (Talking to myself here)
5/24 171.2 I’m centered again. Won’t let myself get over busy and stressed like the last two days again! I LEARNED a lot. Grateful for all of you. Ever onwards!!!
5/25 170.2 Was not easy but I did it! I moved all day yesterday - even jogged a little & didn’t sit in waiting rooms - just kept moving - with lots of hydration & tho it was hard, I made great food choices and was under calories. I was awake most of the night, wanting to eat (due to new temporary course of meds that cause hunger & insomnia), but I didn’t. Proud & a little relieved - dosage halves today! Hoping for continued progress today.
Challenges make us stronger, right? Have a wonderful day!

Remember: Your new “Skinny” pants are now loose, arms look much better, legs/butt more toned/better shape, and your waist is better defined with abs right below the skin! Who knew?!?!!! Celebrate! These are your rewards now - not the scale. Give yourself time to adjust to this New Reality.
I did celebrate - bought a gorgeous dress, hip jacket, & cute sweater for some events coming up. My first new clothes - except for 3 prs of jeans - in over a year & my first “thin” clothes!! I’m only getting a small, new wardrobe of items that fit close & that I LOVE! Fun, and a little intimidating, to decide on style/look now that I have more options. But it’s a nice problem to have once I reminded myself that I could take my time!

Slow and steady. I'm going to keep riding this wave. I think I'm very close to my final weight goal. I'm going to start thinking in terms of what I'm doing AFTER I reach my weight goal. I have not returned to heavy lifting since I hurt my back, but I will (soon). As far as numbers go, I want to see if I can keep my lean body mass where it is (or increase) while simultaneously reducing my body fat percentage. I'm at just under 16%, but I'd like to see 12%. I want to know what my abs look like! I'm going to start including my scale's body fat percentage reading (even though I know it's not accurate) with my daily check-in.

5/18 = 192.6 (no change). Basketball cancelled again last night. AFTER I drive half an hour to get there. For the first time in a while I had a frustration/depressed binge (related to basketball). Nothing too crazy, but I was done eating, and then I had a couple of raw chocolate balls and 2 servings of Thai Lime Chile almonds. And a stick of Monterey Jack cheese. I'm going to an amusement park today, so there should be tons of walking. And there's basketball tomorrow. I forgot to check my body fat percentage this morning. It's going to be a process!
5/19 = 192.2 (-0.4), BF% = 16.0. Walked over 15k steps at Magic Mountain. I was good at the park with food, but binged a bit again when I got home. I've been sneaking in a little chocolate (wife has it around) the past few nights, which I've got to address. I'm going to work on sticking much more closely to my macros. I'm not having any real negative consequences at this point, but I want to nip this in the bud. I have basketball this morning.[/quote]
5/20 = 192.0 (-0.2), BF% = 16.2. My knee felt really loose at basketball yesterday. I didn't hurt myself, but it didn't feel good. Ate out for brunch, and got a nice rare steak and eggs. Macros were okay. I was a little light on water, at least for a basketball day.
5/21 = 195.4 (+3.4). Let's call yesterday what it was: a full-blown slip. It was my father-in-law's birthday party. I was pretty good with food for most of the day (this is becoming a pattern that is not shaken, in a very good way). It started with my wife doing Mexican corn (with mayo, butter, cheese, and chili). Corn is not a great food for my diet, but I had more than I probably should have (the toppings are all fine, though). Later came dessert. My wife got a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from the bakery in LA called Portos. It's ridiculous. I told her a few times throughout the day that I wasn't going to have any, but she persisted, and I gave in. Twice. Back to my eating during the day, though. I didn't track volume, only "quality." The food I was eating fit well into the Keto lifestyle, but I probably overate a bit overall, even before the corn/cheesecake. Anyhoo. It was a slip, not a full-blown relapse. Let's see how long it takes for my body to fully BWHOOSH™ (formerly known as BOUNCE BACK™).
5/22 = 193.4 (-2.0), BF% = 16.2. BWHOOSH™ (formerly known as BOUNCE BACK™). I felt pretty crappy throughout the day yesterday, but ate really well, and forced myself to go to the gym to lift weights. When I got there, I noticed my energy was up. I went to basketball, where I have not been able to hit the broad side of a barn the last two times I've played. My shot was pretty "on," and my bad knee felt just fine (not even one "pop"). I had a great Caesar salad with chicken and avocado for dinner, and ended up having a pretty great day. I had a bit of a revelation at basketball. I STILL have WAY TOO MUCH gut. So many people are screaming at me telling me how thin I am, but I'm NOT. I get that I look pretty different compared to where I was in January (when I started my MFP/JGMTD journey), and that people freak out/get jealous/whatever, but I don't think I have body image issues. Rather, I truly believe that I still have a ways to go on my journey. I said I would stop at 185. Maybe 180 is the number. Maybe I just need to start eating more at maintenance as I get back into heavy lifting. I don't know. I feel good today, though. Sorry for the rant!
5/23 = 194.6 (+1.2). This is when I know my sugar issues are an actual addiction. I can't have a slip one day and think that I'm okay the next day. I can't pretend that it didn't happen. A slip is a sign, and that should put me in high alert. That's what I would tell my patient. I would also tell them to be kind to to themselves, and to have some compassion, so I'm going to try to remember that, too. I didn't give my Saturday lapse the attention it deserved, and last night was a sign that my underlying issues are still there. I'm stressed, and will be until Tuesday, because of work issues. I binged last night on chocolate. It was bad. On some level I knew what was happening. My wife didn't say a word, not that it's her responsibility to. I have got to depend on myself, and I let myself down a little bit. Time to stop the bleeding today, and to get back to my good Keto habits. I don't want this to turn into a full blown relapse. I've worked too hard.
5/24 = 195.8 (+1.2). I initially freaked out at seeing this, because I ate well yesterday. But then I remembered the day before (psycho-binge, sugar), and figured that this is likely some holdover from my awesomeness that day. It's really not that fun to see this number, but I'm going to let it go. Basketball and the gym tonight. I'm going to eat uber-healthy today. I'm really hoping to see a significant drop tomorrow. Before I sign off for the day, I want to remind myself out loud that I'm super-stressed at work right now, and it doesn't get any better when I go home (doing an overtime project). At this point I'm really hoping just to settle down toward my SW for this round. *Edit* I'm actually feeling a little bit depressed right now - it's raining outside, I got wet on my ride in, I am feeling a bit out of control right now (still related to what happened 2 days ago). I am on "high alert" food-wise because, if I'm not, this could easily end up a disaster. I'm having poké for lunch, and my wife is picking up a nice keto-friendly salad for me for dinner. No sweets today of any kind. Only keto-friendly snacks.
5/25 = 194.6 (-1.2), BF% = 16.2. I'm feeling more settled after a mini-BWHOOSH™. I definitely ate over-calories yesterday, but it was a basketball day, so I burned them off (and then some). My acknowledgement of the day: I have too many sweet snacks at work, and I need to stop. I'm learning about sugar alcohols, and that just because something says it has a certain level of "net carbs" does NOT mean it's Keto-friendly. So I have a couple of "treats" here that I probably shouldn't. On a day like yesterday, they made up about 1/2 of my (even) net carbs. When you have 20g of net carbs or so a day, that doesn't leave a lot of room for actual food. And I like food. I'm going to work on this. Basketball sucked last night, by the way. I play with 2 different groups of guys: the first is super organized, and everyone contributes their fair share to the permit (my Saturday group); the other group is terribly disorganized, very few people contribute to the permit, and no one cares about trying to set up teams so that games are actually competitive (which happens on Saturdays). I'm going to fix it (my Monday/Thursday group), or else I'm going to quit. That's what I've decided.

5/18 - Friday - 203.6 - So yesterday afternoon we went to the city to pick up parents from airport. Long ride with traffic so I had to be careful not to drink too much water. Its such a fine line between hydration, and too many bathroom breaks. So I dont think I hit my water goals yesterday. But we got back around 8 and all went out to dinner. I made an improved choice; sesame ginger salmon with soba noodle salad rather than pulled pork mac and cheese. 1 pc of bread, a few sweet potato fries (1 oz) and a bite of DH's mac and cheese and I came in riiiiight around calorie goal for the day - a slight bit over on sodium. Todays morning went a little off plan. Didnt pack lunch because of it. Ended up getting vietnamese vermicelli bowl with pork and shrimp and fresh salad. I think I logged it fairly accurately. Again, an improved choice from a steak and cheese or a whole order of pad thai that are my other usual favorites to walk to from work. Tonights dinner is chicken thighs, asparagus, and potatoes grilled and planning on 1/2 pint of halo top for dessert - IIFYM! I'm not stressing about the nitty gritty details right now. I'm making better choices, and I'm learning to enjoy them as much, if not more than my old habits. Last nights salmon didnt leave me feeling bloated and stuffed, just satisfied and full, and thats a nice feeling! Baby steps to make sure that this time around I'm cultivating a new way of eating that will benefit my body, mind and soul - not just a diet to look better in the mirror.
5/19 - Saturday 203.0 - Busy day - Adams trip to pick up more eggs and meat. Grilled some ribs and snacked my way through the day. About 400 over on cals but mostly good food choices.
5/20 - Sunday 204.4 - Another busy day. Picked up herbs and did some gardening. Picked up a meat bread and caramel apple at the bakery next to the hardware store for lunch. Grilled chicken and steak. Made quinoa balls, hard boiled eggs. Went to laundromat in evening and started feeling poorly. Another day above calories because of the caramel apple. But I'm not sweating it - I enjoyed, I logged it, I moved on.
5/21 - Monday 203.6 - Sick. Ate some chicken rice soup, stayed in bed all day.
5/22 - Tuesday 201.0 - Sick - another day in bed. Had my appetite back and ate poor food choices but stayed close to calories (velveeta and chicken nuggets - why do I turn into an 8 year old when I'm sick?) Didnt take my meds the past two days because of being sick. I went to post this yesterday and hit done instead of post and I was too sick and tired to do it all over again. But I definitely do need to be better about checking in on the weekends regardless.
5/23 - Wednesday 202.0 - back to work! Still feeling under the weather but I'm upright! Now, lots of water today to flush this sickness out of me. Packed a good lunch, skipped my breakfast smoothie today but its back to good choices for the rest of the week into the weekend to reach my goal on Sunday. Seeing the 202 today is good but I expect some fluctuations before Sunday.
5/24 - Thursday -200.8 - Drank lots of water yesterday but still didnt have too much of an appetite. I tried to eat foods that were calorie dense and nourishing. This weight will probably be hard to maintain over the weekend - but I'm reviewing my goal of 202.5 and committing to myself that I will not sabotage it just because it's the weekend. I will enjoy myself after weigh in on Sunday and on the holiday Monday - but not overboard. Back to my healthy habits today - breakfast smoothie, packed lunch, and homemade dinner planned for this evening. Woohoo for feleling better and a long weekend upcoming!
5/25 - Friday - 199.4 - Ugh, thought I was feeling better. But my appetite is still weird. I cant sleep either, my head hits the pillow and I start coughing like crazy, even though I'm propped up. Yesterday I tried to eat my usual breakfast and got thru about 2/3 of it. Ate my lunch but didnt exactly enjoy it. Was going to have breaded pork chops and parmesean spinach quinoa - but ended up making a tomato spinach quinoa salad with mustard vinagrette and grilled pork chops. It's funny its like my brain wanted comfort foods but then my body was screaming for something a little more nutritious. Had some peanut butter crackers for dessert. I logged around 1200 cals of food yesterday. Couldnt stomach breakfast today. Going to eat what I want today (still log it of course) and see what happens tomorrow. All that being said, I'd be lying if I said I wasnt excited to see onederland this morning!!! But, as always, I'm prepared for all kinds of fluctuations back and forth from onderland until it sticks.

@mlhopp93 Have you tried making some fat bombs? They satisfy the sweet tooth and the fat satisfies your hunger. I have made many varieties both sweet and savory.

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
5/18 138.5 Well not surprised. Yesterday was our 48th wedding anniversary and my 10 month Ketoversary. Down 30# We attended a dinner party last night and there was sugar in everything - at least that was the way it felt/tasted. My ketones are low (0.5) but still present.
5/19 138.5 Lovely grilled dinner at Red Lobster. Ate my little lobster tail, a few shrimp, and two bites of salmon. Also salad with blue cheese dressing and 3/4 of a cheddar biscuit. Those biscuits no longer taste good to me. Strawberries and whipped cream for dessert when we got home. Breakfast with lady friends at 8 AM today. Have I mentioned lately that I am not a breakfast person? I ate about 1/4 of my omelet which was relatively tasteless in spite of Monterrey Jack cheese and lots of green chilies.
5/20 139.0 WTH??? I suspect there were hidden carbs in that omelet causing me to retain water because I really didn’t overeat. Also was way below on water. UGH!
5/21 138.0 When I pointed out to DH this morning that I had brought home breakfast potatoes on Saturday he said “we don’t eat those anymore.” Whoo hoo, he is coming to a more Keto WOE!
5/22 138.0 My stomach is upset. Blech!!!
5/23 137.5 Brought DH to urgent care. Breathing treatment and steroids.
5/24 138.5 Salt? I had left over Keto chili at about 11 and 1/2 of a Greek Salad with gyro meat for dinner. Maybe it was the 1/4 of a pita bread. Moving on!
5/25 138.5 DH still sick. I hate trying to guess what will sound good to him for dinner!4 -

5/18 - 128.2 - Taking this new challenge seriously. Log food every day, I have been falling down on that.
5/19 - 128.6 - logged food and under maintenance, 10K steps. By logging, I got to see that the ratio of snacks to real food was SHOCKING. So, good information!! Admittedly, temptations showed up, but.
5/20 -130.2 - sadness for my own mess-ups, and resolve. Anxiety and comforting myself with food. Way over yesterday on calories, under on exercise. Rising every time I fall....
5/21 - 128.6 - yesterday under calories, ate only a 200 calorie "treat" protein bar in the sugar dept, 11K steps. One day at a time.
5/22 - 128.0 - yesterday under calories, 13K steps including elliptical at the gym and short runs to and fro.
5/23 - 128.4 - yesterday over calories, 10K steps; a day where I woke at 3:45 and never slept after that. Using sugar to deal with anxiety, but still not my worst day. Back at it.
5/24 - 129.8 - yesterday within calories, 14K steps including a 50 minute run.
5/25 - 129.2 - yesterday over again, just having a lot of emo=eat issues right now. 10K steps and a really poor night of sleep last night. Such is life; one day at a time.

My Round 2
5/18: 501.0- Upset with myself. Already today is off to a bad start. But on Saturday I’m starting to crack down and hopefully do a lot better.
5/19: 508.6- No weigh in when I first woke up. I got caught up and busy. But I decided to weigh myself at night after a day of eating nothing but crap and the regret has seriously sunk in. I’ve officially decided to join Weight Watchers but I’m going to keep using Myfitnesspal as an extra tool. Sunday is the day I change my life..hopefully.
5/20: 505.0- Today is my first day on Weight Watchers. I’m loving it so far.
5/21: 502.6- Lost 2.4 pounds the first day of Weight Watchers. Of course it might be water weight but I’m just glad to see it working.
5/22: 500.4- Wow, I’m happy and in awe with how quickly I’m losing weight now. Of course it’s gonna happen with someone my size and of course it’s gonna slow down eventually. Maybe I can actually reach my 495 goal this round. That would be nice.
5/23: 500.2- I’m gonna be honest- I’m upset. I did really good yesterday but only lost .2 of a pound. This does discourage me because it’s only day 4 of my new weight loss journey. Someone my size should be losing rather quickly. This makes me want to take a break from daily weighing.
5/24: Won’t be near a scale. Staying the night with at my girlfriends sisters house. We will be going swimming in the lake, so I’m excited for that.
5/25: 493.4- Holy crap. I don’t even know how this happened but I’ll take it. This is the first time in such a long time where I’m truly on track. Today is my first weekly weigh in on Weight Watchers and I’m down 15.2 pounds. I’m so proud of myself. No one can take this from me.

You experienced what we like to call the WHOOSH™. You can be great for days in a row, sometimes even a couple of weeks, but you don't experience any weight loss. Then one day you wake up and... WHOOSH™! You drop a bunch of weight that you aren't expecting.
Know that they'll come. Keep doing things the right way, and they'll come. They always do. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Day/Weight/Comment
5/18 - 170.5 - I just had a big drop the past two days, so I'll be happy if I can end this round at 169.5.
5/19 - 171.5 - I was expecting this. I haven't gone over my calories, so I'll just ride this water weight out.
5/20 - 171 - I'm happy it went down today. Here's hoping it stays the same or drops tomorrow.
5/21 - 171 - I'm holding steady and I'm good with that. I'm starting to feel a little anxious about the Memorial Day weekend coming up though. We've got family coming in and picnics to attend. I'll just have to start planning my menu around a lot of vegetables and less mayo based salads.
5/22 - 170.5 - Heading back down. My goal of hitting 169.5 is looking a little less likely, but I'm still happy I didn't have to see 172 so far this round.
5/23 - 171 - I have eaten just below my calorie limit this entire round so I know it's not my eating. I have to remember that I was 172.5 just one week ago. Whether it's my 20 year old scale or water weight, it doesn't really matter, my husband told me I looked great this morning
5/24 - 169.5 - Woohoo! I haven't seen this number since 2007!
5/25 - 169.5 - I'm holding steady, which actually surprises me.
