How many of you drink ACV everyday? If you do does it help with weight loss and general well-being? What is your favorite combination of ACV mixture? Im thinking of starting to drink it but looking for input

There is no good evidence that apple cider vinegar will help with weight loss or general well being.
If you decide to drink it anyway, please take steps to protect your tooth enamel.25 -
I take it in the am cause it’s going to Help me more than hurt me. It’s not the god all supplement. And no it won’t help you with weight loss. Maybe it’ll kill your appetite cause the taste lol, but anything that claims to cause weight loss usually has no direct correlation with fat/weight loss. Caloric deficit is what cause you to lose weight. ACV is just a trend that may have some benefits but unless your diet and/ or training aren’t on point, it will be of no benefit13

I don't. I wouldn't even make it past day one. So even if there were weight loss benefits to it (which there aren't), I wouldn't take it.2

ACV does nothing for weight loss. Unless the taste makes you so sick that you eat less calories, lol.19

I have some almost every day, since my favorite salad dressing uses it (braggberry for those interested). However, I use the dressing because I like the taste, and don't think the acv matters at all.

What is your favorite combination of ACV mixture? Mixture? You mean it gets worse?!?
Im thinking of starting to drink it but looking for input. My input, buy a food scale instead of ACV.

I don't use ACV. Make sure you rinse your teeth every time. I drink Kombucha which tastes a great deal like naturally carbonated vinegar only better with some fruity goodness, only 35 cal for 8 oz. Low sugar.5

There are hundreds of discussion threads on ACV on MFP and they all conclude the same: it does nothing for weight loss.10

I mix it with warm water, 1 T black strap molasses, and 3/4 t buffered powdered vitamin C.
I'm not taking it for weight loss as it does nothing for that. I was taking it for something else, and it did nothing for that either, but it does help with the taste of the black strap molasses, which is one of the many things I do to get more iron (I'm anemic).6 -
Looking for shortcuts just delays the inevitable. You have to create a calorie deficit and give it time.
The real secret of weight loss is trying to keep yourself happy each day so time doesn't *seem* to move slowly. This means finding a way to eat the things you enjoy, losing weight at a sustainable speed, and keeping your hunger in check.18 -
OP there is no food or potion or trick that is going to save you from overeating. The quicker you accept it, the more money you will save and the further down the road to your goals you will be.14

That's hilarious!2 -
I love how ACV refuses to die despite being complete codswollop!
It's a classic case of a small and badly conducted study by a company which produces ACV being completely misinterpreted by the media as a quick fix.
Japanese paper published in 2009 "Vinegar intake reduces body weight, body fat mass, and serum triglyceride levels in obese Japanese subjects. Kondo T1, Kishi M, Fushimi T, Ugajin S, Kaga T."
However, it was conducted at the Central Research Institute of the Mizkan Group Corporation. You'll never guess what they produce, market and sell. Yep you guessed it Apple Cider Vinegar.4 -

the ACV myth has been around a lot longer than 2009, at least as far back as the 1970's..2 -

Did you not read all the posts above yours that said there are no weight loss benefits to using ACV? Still going to give it a go, even though it’s making you gag? Why?12 -

I'm not the OP but I'm guessing the lure of the quick fix magic formula is to blame.7 -

Try eating 5 hamburgers, 2 hot dogs, a pint of ice cream and drink apple cider vinegar....let me know if the apple cider vinegar worked....of course I am being sarcastic....It's all about calories, apple cider vinegar won't do *kitten* if the rest of your diet is garbage. If you must take apple cider vinegar, it would be because you enjoy it on your salads (or food) or for whatever reason. Apple cider vinegar on it's own won't do anything. Not saying that it doesn't have benefits, but if you're relying it for just weight loss alone, you will be sadly disappointed.3 -
I use it in my BBQ sauce - especially good on pork steaks & ribs.3

Bookmarking for future ACV threads, thanks!
"Great if you need a floor cleaner you can drink or a skinnier rat" LMAO.6 -
The only thing drinking ACV will help you lose is your will to live.11
-
I use it for the psoriasis on my scalp but wouldn't drink it even if it did help lose weight...bleh4
-
Why would people drink that crap when they know it doesn't work? Stop the woo!! Pseudoscience kills.3
