Keto and OMAD

I've recently been diagnosed with diabetes type 2, which resulted in me immediately implementing a low carb diet. This eating style has drastically lowered my blood glucose level without medicine and I have lost about 9 lbs in 3 weeks. I wanted to see if there were other people diabetic or not that does keto and only eats one meal a day. I have a busy schedule, so I find it easier to prepare one big meal versus multiple meals and snacking throughout the day. I also enjoy the way I feel while fasting.

I have had recent success with one meal a day intermittent fasting using Keto and low carb. I have no thyroid since radioactive iodine, so for me to lose weight,I have to calorie restrict a bit and thus, the one meal a day fast works well for me.2

Have you consulted with your doctor and/or dietitian about this?
To be perfectly honest this doesn't sound like a great plan. If you were not diabetic I would say "go for it" with OMAD and Keto, but as a diabetic it's so important for you to implement a diet that can be maintained (and hopefully reduce your symptoms) long term. This is especially the case if you want to manage your diabetes and prevent further complications down the road.
Lower carbs is probably recommended.... but keto? This sounds like a potential problem which could affect your insulin dosage.
As far as i know the recommendations for diabetics are frequent small-portioned-meals throughout the day to keep blood sugar stable and include foods like: carb source from whole grains, high fiber fruits and vegetables, low-fat or lean beef/turkey/fish, lots of legumes, and sources of "healthy" fats (i.e. nuts, seeds, vegetable fats, etc.).
The key here being a balanced diet controlling for total calories with plenty of fiber, lower fats, frequent feedings along with a daily exercise regimen.

If you look through the MFP groups you'll find the Low Carber Daily, keto, and OMAD groups. There are quite a few in there who lowered carbs and eat less frequently to treat t2d. I'm one too.
I really like Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. It has a lot of info on LCHF and reducing your insulin. He has useful videos and website too, although he is not a great public speaker.

Keto does affect insulin dosages. It lowers it within days, and sometimes removes the need for any exogenous insulin fairly quickly. Less carbs eaten = lower blood glucose = lower need for insulin. This is win-win since t2d's tend to have too much (no longer as effective) insulin as it is. Keto can be very effective in treating diabetes, especially before there is a lot of weight lost.
The ADA's advice for diabetics is outdated and often ineffective. Low carb and keto reduce and control BG much better than the moderate carb recommendations normally given. I do agree that exercise and fibre can be very helpful to diabetics... Or everyone.6 -

I am genuinely curious how you even get adequate protein with only OMAD or at least what is your goal? Especially, considering protein should be around 1.5-2.2g/kg of weight per day.1

I've seen people do it - it's a big piece of meat! Some people may go with lower protein goals closer to the minimum recommended of 0.36 g/ lb of body weight.
Then again, I have no idea how volume eaters/ high carb can do omad - that is a lot of food volume. I imagine that the stomach would need to stretch somewhat.0
