Okay this is a weird one....
I am having surgery to remove my belly flap, after a year at maintenance and recomp I was only able to get it partially down. But today I noticed it wasn't just hanging down, but completely folded over itself. I've now lost enough fat on my midsection that I went from lose skin to an actual flap of skin.
And I had to yank up my once perfectly snug jeans a few times yesterday.
I'm headed for flapville myself. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with your surgical recovery.
Also can I ask about your turtle running club photo? Is it a real club, and if so I feel like I should be a part of it haha.
Thank you, yeah the flap did get diminished a bit after a year, but not enough to prevent it from becoming an actual flap. At least my batwings and turkey neck disappeared.
Turtle running club isn't an actual club (that I know of). More, it's the running club for those of us who are no where near competitive in even the short races. But, there are t-shirts and tanks for "Turtle Running Club", so it's more of an....ohhhh a fellow runner that will never complain about my "slow as shell" pace, because they have the same pace.18 -
For the first time in two years, I am satisfied with the way I look. Even if I never drop another pound, I can live with the progress I have made, both in terms of fitness attained and weight loss. I do still want to drop ten more pounds to get into the normal BMI range and to lighten the load on my arthritic ankle, but I am generally happy with myself right now. That is HUGE for me.37

Just rested my chin on my hand and dang -- there's bone in that jaw! What?! Also been noticing how bony my hands feel lately, too.18

Last year at this time, I was just a few months into my journey. I still got winded walking longer distances and my endurance was horrible. Yesterday, I was able to swing a pick ax, dig out a large stump all by myself, dig up about 10 bags of marble stones, wash them, lay down new landscaping paper, re-edge the garden, put back all of the marble stones, and replant the grass seed. This was all done in about 5 hours, non-stop AFTER my morning zumba class. Feeling extremely accomplished right now. FYI, it looks great.45

I was told I have "runner's legs". I took it as a compliment.23

I am in good shape and it made me tired just to read this. that's a lot of work!16 -
I have a back brace that I'm supposed to use on a daily basis to help passively reduce the stress that my scoliosis and Shauermann's puts on my spine. I haven't been wearing it as I've been too big and it cut into my arms and stomach. Had a minor car accident on Friday and really felt the need to have it on and it fits fine now.32

Did a chin-up for the first time in my adult life today!45

Started a new medication which makes me feel ravenous! But I'm not letting it get me off track. Been at maintainance for the past two weeks but I haven't gained anything back.
I'll get down to 130, so help me god!22 -
I got up to 40 rotations on waist hooping today! I started out only being able to do four before the hoop dropped, now I feel as though I'm closer to being able to do it as long as I want to. My abs are killing me now, though.22

Trying on my wedding dress that I ordered in a tight size originally, swimming around me and now it needs to be taken in!40

I wore out a pair of sneakers in record time! I guess this means my new habits of walking and near-daily gym going are actually doing something. (For the record, the pair before my last one lasted 5 years, because I only occasionally did anything active. This pair, about 6 months).29

This is kind of a scale victory, but I hit the 80 lb loss mark today! It has taken about 3-4 years of using MFP of switching up workouts and figuring out what is sustainable.
Lately I've been happy (generally) trying on clothes, working out, and just all over settling in to losing weight. I still want to lose about 15-20 more pounds but I'm feeling very proud of myself and the changes I have made today40 -
I was asked to participate in a relay race, which is a nsv on its own. I went, had fun and our team placed second. 9 months ago I wouldn't even had thought about entering.23

I doubt with this many replies I am the first wardrobe malfunction but... because of a delay in shipment of some new pants yesterday while carrying a box outside a pair of my current pants fell to my ankles dragging my boxers down just enough to moon the entire neighborhood.
Oh and I am down 1 shirt size loosely fitting and almost another snugly.

Wait as long as you can to get it altered - don't want to have to do it 2X10 -
(1) being able to walk by homemade cupcakes at work and not giving in to pressure to try one (2) fitting into pants that I have not been able to wear in at least 2 years (3) Needing to go and buy more shirts because all mine are now too big and frumpy (4) being able to look in the mirror and actually see progress in this journey23

Sort of scale-related.. I'm at a lower weight than when I got married 5 years ago! I never thought I'd see that number again.
Also I had to have the bridesmaid dress I ordered back in March taken in because it's now too big30 -

Seeing homemade cherry cheesecake in the break room and realizing it was fine to have a small piece, cutting an actual small piece and not going back for more. I am actually trying to go back up a couple of pounds because I have been slowly losing in maintenance, so I actually could have cut a bigger piece or gone back for more but that urge needed to be suppressed.24
