I ran almost 8 km / 5 miles. I was 100% sure I'd stop at the 5k but I just kinda zoned out and kept going. This is the second time ever I got this far, the first one being running 9.6 km / 6 miles and then succumbing to ankle pain in 2014. No pain this time.26

I really start to like how I look in the mirror!29

Ooh! I discovered another one, today: I'm in my 40's, and have been trying to improve my skin care routine, to help with anti aging. In the past few years, I've not been thrilled about the new jowls I've been sporting. I'm just realising that with my recent weight loss, because my face is slightly slimmer, the jowls are decreasing! Let's hope they go away completely!32

I used to run a lot before I had some knee trouble. That "zoning out" was key to get to the next level for me. It took me months to be able to run 5 miles and then weeks to be able to run 10.
Now I do brisk walks at or just above 4mph. Walked almost 7 miles this morning in about 100 minutes.20 -
Had my photo taken for a Costco ID and, while I usually dread something like that, this one didn't look too bad!19

I couldn't wear my favorite white jeans last summer because they were too tight.
They're now almost too loose!25 -

Thanks for sharing that tip, @kittybenn. Some of the other judges took up the same habit. I will keep doing that in the future, anytime I can.

I bought a blouse about two months ago, and it was a little tight. We've been having terrible weather, so I hadn't had an opportunity to wear it, until yesterday. When I put it on, I realised I could not wear it, because it was too big!
I'm sad because I didn't get to wear it even once (luckily it was cheap), but happy because of the reason why I can't -and I hope the charity shop where I take the clothes I don't wear any more can make a good profit from it.20 -
Yesterday I had signed up for a 10k sponsored walk. I was joined by my husband, four children, daughter in law, nephew, his wife and their two children. Was an amazing day22

Okay this is a weird one....
I am having surgery to remove my belly flap, after a year at maintenance and recomp I was only able to get it partially down. But today I noticed it wasn't just hanging down, but completely folded over itself. I've now lost enough fat on my midsection that I went from lose skin to an actual flap of skin.
And I had to yank up my once perfectly snug jeans a few times yesterday.22 -
I'm using couch to 5k and yesterday (end of week 7) I managed to do 5k in 37 minutes without stopping once! 7 weeks ago the 1 minute running sections were murder and now I actually look forward to getting out to run after work. HUGE change in my mindset and its being reflected in the results.
The work is paying off!31 -
This weekend, I ran 5km in 34:41. 6 weeks ago, I ran my first continuous 5 km at 39:49, so I have shaved 5 minutes off my time since that first 5km run.21

I'm headed for flapville myself. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with your surgical recovery.
Also can I ask about your turtle running club photo? Is it a real club, and if so I feel like I should be a part of it haha.9 -
@imogenash91 Congratulations. Running is addictive.
I started C25K in Dec (6 months ago). I completed my first organized 5k in March (running the entire route). Last week I ran 10k. This weekend I ran 2 local 5k runs. You will get addicted.11 -
I expected my NSV this week to be running a 5K on Saturday and another one in Sunday. But the real NSV was unexpected.
While lining up for Sunday's run I noticed a Dr. from the cancer center where my DH receives treatment. I said hello but she didn't recognize me. I pointed to DH on the side and she immediately apologized. She then started talking and ran with me the entire run. We talked afterwards and I now have a new running buddy.29 -
One of our grandsons spent Friday night with us and we went to the park. Last summer I tried to swing across the monkey bars and was still too heavy and didn't have enough upper arm strength. This summer? Three times across without a problem. I could have continued, but opted to climb up and down the short climbing wall with the eight year old instead.19

semi NSV. I only gained ~1.5 lb while traveling for work in Italy along with normal monthly gains and that was taken the day after I flew home. I forgot to check this morning but that is my normal monthly weight swings, so I still call it a win despite eating/drinking too much yumminess. Of course that may have been helped by walking 6-7 miles after our connecting flight got cancelled and we got stuck in Paris for the night checking out the sights.20

It’s Monday, and that goal is crushed!
Also, I don’t know if this is a victory or loss, but my favorite workout tights are becoming too big. Yay for becoming smaller, but I really love these pants and even my mental image of post-weight loss ”fit me” is wearing these. These are last year’s model too so I don’t know if I’ll find the same pants anywhere anymore, I’ll just keep my eyes open.

Went kayaking for the first time ever. No issues getting in or out. Kept up with the group. But best of all got to see some dolphins and a manatee close up! (Couldn't/wouldn't have done that before weight loss.)24
