Before Parkruns (weekly 5K events) I have a coffee, banana and one of those breakfast bar things (100cal), the payoff is when I get home and have my favourite 'poor man's deviled eggs' which is 3 hard boiled eggs smashed up with a fork and some english mustard/ mayo on toast. I can't cook.
Waiting for the thermometer to not have that little "-" sign in the front, and then have my registration all set for the local parkrun. Normal (5 days a week) breakfast is quick oatmeal and skim milk, plus black coffee. I might add the banana to it for Saturdays. I'll leave the bacon and potatoes for Sunday.

Being able to run 4 miles last night without suffering because I quit smoking. I've just been walking long distances since I started, but I missed actually picking up the pace and running. I ran 2 miles on the treadmill non-stop and I was feeling good enough to hop off, lift weights, and then go for another 2 miles out in the cold. It was phenomenal! And today marks day 38 without a cigarette.52

I got out of bed this morning without the usual aches and pains I feel in my feet and joints when I eat processed foods and sugar. I am just starting my journey, but being pain-free is a great motivator to keep going21

I didn't lose any weight this week. Between some salty meals last week and upping my calories away from 1200 (but still in a deficit), I think my body is a little weirded out.
So what's the NSV? Even though I stayed the same weight this week, I still logged it and didn't just ignore that I didn't have a loss. It's just what it is.35 -
My fitbit now sees my C25K training as runs rather than walks.35

Lifting High? I've heard of runners high, but I swear there's a lifting high. I'm so excited for lifting days - and those are every-other day. My cells feel full of electricity for hours.25

I've been spending a lot of time lately sorting and clearing stuff in my basement, moving boxes etc., and the activity also extended to some of the upstairs rooms where I have some more boxes stashed. On Sunday my hubby insisted that I took a break from it and didn't do any sorting that day, but should play on my computer or something instead. Well, I was happy to do that! I haven't spent much time at my desk over the past couple of weeks, and I have games I've not tried yet.
But I found that I was very fidgety all day. I really wanted to go and DO something... just one more box... just for half an hour...
All this sorting and tidying is something I've been putting off for a very long time, mainly because I didn't really know where to start but also because there was just so MUCH of it, and even looking at it all was exhausting. I don't think I'd really realised how much more energy I have these days, until I finally got started on the task. Now, I feel like I just want to keep going and work my way through the whole house! I'm loving the way it's starting to come together and look organised, and we can actually find things again and easily access them, and I want to do it all!
I'm a lazy person who loves her computer and happily spends hour after hour sitting at a desk doing nothing really "productive". Or I was. I seem to be becoming someone who finds it hard to sit still for more than a couple of hours at a time. I fidget a lot more. I dance around the kitchen while I'm cooking supper. Even when I'm sitting, I find that I'm jiggling in my seat and tapping my feet to the music on the radio. Who is this person?!33 -
Have been told just today by two different people on how skinny I am getting and that I am wasting away! I know some people take that offensively but not this gal. I have a LONG way to go but, those comments give me the boost I need some times when I don't see it in the mirror.26

I actually like full body pics of me now (at least from the front, the back is another story ha!)24

Yes I am the same way! I want people to notice so I know it really is coming off and not all in my head lol!13 -
I started C25K this year, but I have trouble listening to instructions (I don't even really read recipes, I just "imagine" half of the procedures). So, after finishing week 3 of C25K and then taking one week off of training because of life and illness, today I went back to the gym and was going to do a short full body workout + cardio to get back into the rhythm. Long story short I ended up running 3K in about 30 minutes without walking (!) and then did a short arm & chest workout. I guess I need to thank C25K for getting me this far!!!!
In July, when I started my weightloss, I could barely run for 30 seconds. I am so so happy.22 -
Today I wore slacks and a blouse to work that didn't fit a month ago! I also am feeling so much more confident in all of my jeans and don't feel like I need to go buy bigger clothes now!17

Today I completed C25K for the second time. First time was last year but this time, I'm aiming to run a 10K over summer. On to the 10k trainer
That's awesome!!! I start Week Four, Day 1 tonight and am really nervous about the five minute runs. I can't wait for the day I can say I've completed the program! Congratulations and good luck with your 10k!

Went shopping for a new bra and ~perhaps~ one pair of pants since all my old ones were really hanging on me like potato sacks. Turns out I was really lucky as they had a 75% sale on already reduced pants going for that day only. Because they were so ridiculous cheap, I bought 6 pair of pants. Four of them fit now although it's still hard to process that I actually fit into those pants looking at them (I lost about 5 clothing sizes so far and my mind still hasn't entirely caught up). I bought them pretty tight so I can "grow" into them and they last a tiny bit longer but just the experience that I can put on those sizes is amazing. And since it was such a crazy sale, I even bought 2 more pair of pants 2-3 sizes below of what I am now - they don't fit yet but just looking at those pant legs I still can't believe I my legs might be able to fit into them in a few months; admittedly they are skinny pants but they are about the size of what a loose sleeve would have been at my highest weight.24

Next month, I'm going to be traveling to a conference in a city I lived in over six years ago. I have actually been there several other times in the past few years (usually on my way to visit family elsewhere), but I have never once looked up any of my old friends there, because I didn't want them to see me fat. When I left there, I was really thin, and I just couldn't handle the shocked look on all of their faces as they reacted to seeing me before ultimately trying to play it off like they didn't notice. Well, this time, I've reached out to them so that we can finally catch up in person. I won't be to my goal weight—only a little over halfway—but I'm making progress and no longer feel ashamed about my physical state of affairs. I'm actually looking forward to seeing them.30

I agree it's a thing. I upped my weight on my push press and by the third set I totally felt that "high" feeling--it was awesome!!

My roommate brought me fancy cookies from this wonderful little Italian bakery. But they didn't fit into my calories today. NSV: I resisted the temptation, and am looking forward to enjoying them Thursday!25
